Olwen blinked down at him, a little surprised by his eagerness. It made her smile.
"Well, I could start by sending you messages. Maybe if you get used to listening, replying will come more naturally.
"It's... going to be a little tricky to explain, I think, since I've been doing this since I was a child. I'm sorry in advance if I make it confusing," she smiled awkwardly.
"Just try to look for passing thoughts that don't feel like they belong to you. Don't think too much, either, or you might not hear it. Ready?"
She spoke a tad more quickly than normal. It wasn't hard to tell that she was as excited as he was, maybe even more so. Talking to plants was nice, of course, but she'd never been able to speak this way with a person before. It was new, and a little special.
"What's your favourite class?" She decided to say something easy. She felt she didn't articulate the message as clearly as before, though. Even in her own mind, the words felt a bit fuzzy, but she sent it off feeling hopeful.
