"Yes, it's out there, but I doubt it went completely viral," June told her, but his eyes had been elsewhere by then, scanning the treats behind the glass idly. His laugh seemed distant, though mostly because it had been a while since he'd seen it; it was only just about a memory to him at the moment. He remembered a mutual follower had sent it to him, a video with some obscure title he couldn't quite remember: did it mention something about flaming cocktails? He would think so. That was probably the only reason he'd even bothered to watch it. "I mean, considering it had to be sent to me before I found it first, I'm pretty sure it didn't go around. I'll make sure to send it to you once I find it back in my logs. I'm pretty sure i still have it."

His thoughts still seemed a little focused elsewhere, away from the desserts--although subconsciously, his eyes already found their way on the mints along the side, just silently calling for his attention. June stifled a laugh at the mention of roasting marshmallows. He wasn't quite a fan, but the idea of roasting anything on a flaming couch was so comical to imagine. "I wish someone took photos at least. I only ever remember someone mentioning about roasting over a couch bonfire but I shrugged them off as someone drunk tweeting."

“That’s a relief,” she said with a smirk, though she did have to wonder what might have been if the video had been popular. Was she in it? Ari thought she remembered lifting the couch, but the details of that night had gotten foggy. It might’ve been during the period when she dyed her hair black, too. In that case, she might have been unrecognizable in the video - if she showed up in it, of course. It was a bit of a shame. She could’ve been internet famous. Oh, well. “Thanks for that. Can’t wait to relive that moment.”

While Ari, Jess, and June were peering at the icecream flavors behind the glass, the line of people in front of them slowly dwindled down until it was their turn to order. Ari fished some money out of her wallet and stepped forward, asking for a scoop of mint. As the cashier left to get it, she turned back to continue the conversation. “Well, I wouldn’t doubt they were drunk, but…” Ari shrugged, leaning against the counter. “Who knows. Everything’s on the internet. I bet you could find some evidence of it if you looked hard enough.”

Once she received her cone, she thanked the cashier and moved off to the side. Twirling the icecream in her hand, she gave it a lick, savoring the explosion of cool flavor on her tongue. Mm...It was like finally giving in to a powerful craving. De-licious.

but Strange, i drink the tears of crying children

"That's true. Maybe I'll get some time to do some digging one time and revive the memory of the couch roasting." June chuckled, as he went on ask for his own scoop after Ari, going for the berry selection instead rather than his first choice. While he waited for his own, he turned his attention back to her, "Praying that I don't run into anything strange though; last time I did some digging, the results had some completely unrelated things mixing in." As much as he wasn't phased by random scares in search results for some odd reason; it wasn't very funny.

His cone came just as quick and he followed after Ari back to their table. Jess having already gone ahead was waiting for them there -- or she would be but she was now much too preoccupied with her treat, simply drowning herself in her parfait with delight like a little girl.

June couldn't help rolling her eyes at the girl's antics before he gave his own a lick. He didn't care much for blueberries and cheesecake, but he loved how the flavor just melted into his tastebuds. Definitely a go-to place, he thought to himself.

"How's the mint flavor going for you?" he asked casually, twirling the cone carefully in one hand.

“Oooh, that’s weird. Turn on Safe Search. It filters out the stuff like...that,” Ari suggested. She didn’t use it herself, but she knew that plenty of others did if they wanted to block out the particularly offensive content of the internet. It ended up filtering too much for Ari’s taste, and she found it was sometimes better to take the bad in stride if you wanted the true experience. Censorship didn’t get you anywhere.

She couldn’t help but wonder what else could’ve appeared in the search results. Her imagination conjured up images that were probably much worse than what June actually saw. What if @#$%& popped up? He could’ve found %@&*#* %^%$#*, or maybe even %&#(*%(#*)@*%&*$^@. Ari had to shake the scandalous thoughts from her brain. Now was not the time to be thinking about @#$%& - not when she had a delectable scoop of ice cream in front of her that screamed for her undivided attention. The icy goodness left her with a feeling of almost lightheadedness. It was like she had transcended to a place above the clouds and had the privilege to take a bite straight out of the heavens. “It’s the best,” she responded, an airy smile on her face.

Then the twirling motion brought her attention to his cone. She eyed it like a predator. It was blue. Not as melty as hers. It hadn’t yet gotten that milky texture or started to drip down the side of the cone. Everything about it looked sickly sweet and delicious. And Mari could tell it was better than hers. “...Although yours is looking pretty good. What is it, blueberry? Mm. I should’ve gotten a scoop of that, too.” Hardly even started on her icecream, and she was already thinking about going back for seconds. If she had come alone, she might’ve, but being surrounded by so many people she knew made her think twice. For now, she stayed in her seat, licking around the edge of her cone to keep it from dripping. It was getting a little melty.

June had to keep his response of 'safe search is for children' all to himself because while technically true, some people have their preferences and he'd rather not be stepping on toes. Instead, he just went on with a more appropriate and a possibly more agreeable response, "It limits the search results so, no, thank you," he chuckled. "A little roadbump isn't too much when you're on a mission."

It wasn't hard to miss the look Ari had in his direction -- or more specifically his own cone of ice cream. Whether it was of a very strong curiosity or that she could practically taste the sweetness of his treat and is now craving for it, he wasn't exactly sure yet. Regardless of which reason it was, he decided to go for a lick from the scoop, savoring the flavor while not-very- secretly eyeing the girl. What a tease.

"It's blueberry cheesecake. Tastes exactly like a blueberry cheesecake should, chunks and all, but more ice cream," he replied, a tiny little smile tugging at his lips, fangs peeking out under his lips. If anything, his expression looked exactly like he was completely expecting her to do exactly what he guessed she was thinking. "I wouldn't really stop you from going back there because I wouldn't mind a second scoop of this myself. I'm not a big fan of cakes, but I have no regrets at all."
