Eliana rolled her eyes good-naturedly, starting on her dinner only when he started on his.

"How have classes been? Keeping your grades up?"

She wasn't sure how great at small talk she was. Most of her small talk consisted of flirting, not trying to get to know someone.

"They're alright, I do pretty well, still sorting out what I want to do." He'd reply, he wasn't great at conversing himself.

"Darling, what's your preferred drink of choice?" He would say, taking a sip of his wine, he had it so might as well.

"You mean alcohol? Scotch on the rocks."

She smirked at the subject change, but she wasn't done asking about school yet.

"So you haven't picked your major yet? Were you leaning towards any?"

She took a sip of her wine. It was fortuitous that Eliana was good at hiding her trepidations; otherwise, she didn't think she'd make it through this night.

She slipped her foot from her flats to run it along his leg.

He'd sigh softly, "Unfortunately I haven't had much thought, schooling was a wild fantasy for me, work was the priority and I wasn't picky as long as I got money. So now I'm sorta at a stand still, no idea what to do."

Mal would take a few bites of his food as he felt Eli's foot on his, he'd give a slight hop at it's surprise but he act on it, except give her an accusing look.

Eliana grinned. She liked footsie, okay? He could get over it.

"Why not the study of general magic? Or something like magic technology? The school has one of those right?"

She squinted as she thought about it.

"I never went to college," she shrugged. "I might not be much help."

Her foot slipped a little higher, nearing the seat and his inner thighs. She was still grinning. Totally pure. Look at that face? You think someone with a face like that would mess with Mal? Never!

He'd smile back at her, he didn't mind it honestly but it was just a bit of a surprise.

"I've thought about it, I have a lot of interest in magic and what there is in the world and what's happened due to it but I'm not sure." He had terrible indecision, one of his flaws.

He'd hold back a shudder and give her a mischief smile, he can play a game with her as well. Mal would rub his fingers together and create a soft looking feather, he'd drop it and levitate it under the table, running the soft end up her leg and back and forth along her thigh.

"Get into that major, then. Better than not having anything."

She quivered when the feather ran along her inner thigh. She sat up a little straighter and met his eyes, a smirk threatening to break her, so far, normal conversational expression.

Eliana cleared her throat, trying to sound casual. "When we were on the phone, and I mentioned the whole body thing, you were surprisingly calm about it. Is there a story to that?"

Because he had added flame to the fire, Eliana jumped the final hurdle. Her foot rubbed his groin. Again, she loved "footsie."

"Yes Ma'am" He'd say giving her a mocking salute.

Mal would continue eating his food, man it was delicious stuff, as she mentioned the body. "Well, sorta, I guess that'd involve my last secret from you. Plus death has never really bothered me honestly, part of nature, part of life."

Mal would give a slight twitch at her foot movements, deciding to up the ante as well, moving the feather over to her groin, rubbing firmly against her.

Eliana stopped mid-bite and shot him a look.

"Behave," she warned. "Behave or I might not take you out ever again, Luv."

She ate her bite, savoring the taste of the food. This place's sauce was on the sweeter side, but she really liked it. She had never eaten Italian food quite like it.

When she had finished chewing and swallowed, she mentally searched for another conversation starter.

"What's your most embarrassing memory?"

That was a typical date question, right?

He'd laugh a bit of a bitter laugh, dispelling the feather. "Me behave? I suggest you take your own advice darling."

"My most embarrassing memory...." he thought back for a bit. "In the fourth grade I was running late to school so in my sleep filled mind I summoned a pair of pants to wear instead of putting on actual ones. So I was in the middle of class and poof, no pants." He'd laugh softly remembering it, "Terribly embarrassing at the moment, couldn't focus long enough to make a new pair till I ran to the bathroom. What about you?"

He'd take a sip of his wine again, his plate was nearing empty when he looked down at it, he ate like a ravenous piranha some times.
