Current Planning Thread

Donnel couldn't have been more pleased at the surge of interest in his little company. He'd spread the word at key places around campus and the town, hoping to test the waters. The response he'd gotten was absolutely thrilling, enough so that he decided to start making things a bit more official. Placing down one last plate of food, he smiled at the room he had in the apartment he'd paid for to start his production company.

The building was towards the outskirts of town, the windows blocked with heavy drapes and otherwise looking as innocuous as possible. The symbol of a feather had been drawn over the doorway, a marker that those interested in joining his company could use to find their way. Despite his efforts to make everything legal, he had to take other precautions to ensure the safety and privacy of anyone thinking of joining. It wasn't any fun if others were hurt by what he was trying to do, after all.

The wide-open space was filled with tables and chairs, situated around a projector he'd rigged. He had a little presentation set up, a business pitch of sorts, then after everything was said and done he'd see who wanted to join. If anyone didn't feel right, they could leave with no questions asked. He couldn't wait for the first to join, anxiously watching the door and listening for any knocks.

Gods, what was he thinking? It was bad enough that he'd gotten himself involved on one of those 'World War' things that had made a mess of quite a bit, but this? This was just... well. He supposed perhaps there might be some sort of exotic attraction, or whatever thing people might come up with for it, for what he was about to be doing some of the time. It wasn't really like him, but then who could even say for something like that?

He was keeping a secretive eye on things; that was all. Here, Lance, or rather Valreth, was just a dragon; no more did he need to reveal anything beyond that than anyone needed to know that this was a teacher doing this. That would, no doubt, make rather a mess of things, which was something he really didn't need.

Now then... this was the place, he supposed, judging by that feather over the door that he'd heard some mention of in the general correspondence and such things. Grumbling slightly to himself as he stood just outside the door, the (albeit quite small for one at the approximate size of a pony) black-scaled, golden-eyed dragon pushed open the door and slipped easily inside, opting to wander off to the side on the basis that none of the seats set up would likely hold him regardless... nor would he want to use them in this form anyway.

Time to see who else might come along, he supposed, and if he'd have to have the annoying task of calling any relatives later on, when this was over...

Trotting out of his dorm room, Augustine proudly made his way out to the address he had been given — the piece of paper firmly clutched in his hand. He didn't want to be neither early nor late, and figured now was as good a time as ever to show up. The prospect of going into the porn business was a new one. August had personally never thought about showing off his body to strangers, but the promise of extra cash and extra admirers was more than welcome.

He found the place easy enough, fixed on the very edge of town and the windows all blacked out. It looked like the kind of place he'd expect a porn meeting to be held in, and took a minute to take in the surroundings. It didn't look too formidable, however, and August supposed by the feather over the door that this was undeniably the right spot.

Nudging open the door, August peered in cautiously before stepping in, almost immediately drawn to the snack table. A various host of foods littered the spread, and Augustine could definitely appreciate a company that could feed it's employees well. Grabbing a plate and piling it with all the snacks that appealed to him, he retreated to a corner, curious in the lizard-creature that lurked in another corner of the room. Ha. Beastiality didn't particularly appeal to him, but if he was paid ...

As Lelei stood outside the entrance to the innocuous building just outside of town, its front door marked with a tasteful feather, he felt a sudden and momentary urge to kick the door down. The place was neither rundown nor dirty, but it was just shady enough to remind him of the many other buildings he had stormed during many a police raid. The door would, thankfully, remain safely in its place since Lelei was fully aware of what the building was actually being used for in this particular case. He would, however, make mention of its appearance to the management, or whomever was in charge. Being inconspicuous was one thing. But the place had stepped just over the time into "suspicious".

While he thought nothing of it right then, Lelei would probably be surprised about the road that had lead him to opening that door to the shady building. Perhaps it was his own fault for having such a healthy appetite for such things. It was pretty much the reason he had been exiled to the land. But it was not until Lily had introduced him to that one demon lair that Lelei had really let his appetites go, slowly, over the cource of many visits to a svelte dolphin boy.

There were no regrets, though, as Lelei closed the door behind him and entered the building proper. The insides reflected the truly professional and upright nature of the business he was considering getting into, on the side. The place was clean, well-kept, and tastefully decorated. Refreshments had been set out and the man in charge was there to greet him. Lelei approached the red-headed young man a little sheepishly, but held his hand out in the resolute manner of an officer of the law.

"Ahem. Good evening, sir. I'm here about the missive regarding your venture. I'm Lelei."

Glancing around the room, Lelei felt a twinge of the nerves again. There seemed to be a dragon and another well-built man there. No offense to them by any means, but they were hardly Lelei's type. He preferred the smaller, softer kind.

Word of mouth brought her here, that and a bit of curiosity. Someone was actually starting this? Dorito knew Cheeto would be full of questions. Who'd they market these films too, how'd they distribute them, would they get in trouble for letting stuff like this off the island if they do? She kept on going though, practically skipping. It was an interesting idea and one she had been thinking about for a while. It'd be tricky for her to star in any movie, and for a while the idea of this seemed both like something unobtainable and even uninteresting to her. Now that it seemed possible Dorito had a sudden interest in it.

She walked along until she saw the building, the one with the feather mark on the door. From what she could remember, she could just let herself in and find a seat. The door wasn't locked and she walked in, seeing many of the people already there. There was... A SHARK. That was awesome. As well as that there was a dragon by the door, one that Dorito had seen around the Academy for sure. There was a guy standing by the projector set up, probably the man starting this company up. Lastly there was... August! Dorito could barely contain a smirk at the sight of him as she walked over and sat down in one of the seats set up, ready for the presentation.

Eznier had been a bit nervous about following through with the invitation, even though a large portion of him desperately wanted to be a part of the company. He hadn't done anything like this before and even blushed at the thought his parents might hear about this. Still, feeling better about his powers and himself in general, he decided to go through with it. Head held high, he walked through the door with the feather above it to a scene that was more comforting than he had thought it would be.

Tables were laid out with food, all pointed towards a projector that hadn't yet been fired up. It looked like the boy was right on time. Sighing in relief, he looked at the others that had already gathered. Everyone here was attractive, even the dragon sitting in the corner. The thought of being in a production with such a creature caused Ez to blush even more, tail twitching on it's own. The well-muscled shark did the same, making the boy hasten to a table so the others wouldn't see how excited he already was.

As the dragon sat down, Donnel slapped his forehead with the palm of his hand. It hadn't occurred to him that such a beauty would be joining them so he hadn't prepared accordingly. This wasn't the start he had wanted, quickly moving over with an apologetic smile on his face. "I'm sorry about this, I didn't plan correctly. Would you like me to get you some pillows, something more comfortable to lay on?" His apology was sincere, as was his desire to make every visitor as comfortable as possible.

When Lelei strode up to him, a slight sinking feeling settled into Donny's gut. He knew the shark was a teacher and thought he'd already be denied, even though the gryphon had painstakingly gone through rule after process to make sure his proposed operation was as legal and legitimate as possible. Blinking as the hand was extended, a smile burst over his face and the butterflies dispelled. Lelei was here as a prospective actor, one that Donnel would want to star in a film with if he had his choice.

"My name is Donnel and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." As he introduced himself, he gave the shark a firm handshake, not trying to exert dominance but to show his confidence to the prospective actor. "Thank you for your interest. I'm going to give a little more time for any others to arrive, then I'll start the presentation. Feel free to relax and enjoy the food, I tried to get as many different kinds for any possible taste." Winking at the shark before leaving, he strode over to all the other guests so far to ask if they needed anything else to be more comfortable.

"Hah... I'm perfectly fine. It's been a few hundred years since I've bothered to worry much about idle comfort," the dragon replied with a little smirk. A decent number of males coming along, no doubt of that... where were all the females, he wondered. Staying away, perhaps, with the exception of the... goblin? That was interesting; didn't generally see too many of those around, though she was a student, he knew that much. A few of the people here were. All the better, perhaps, for him to be there; someone they wouldn't recognize as a teacher, but who was in fact one.

Not the only teacher here, granted, but the only one going incognito.

Now then... much as it might be pleasing to gorge himself, he was essentially here to watch, so watch from the side he would continue to. See what this was about, see if he might be able to even have much fun here; 'twas always possible, after all, and it had been some time since he was able to. Since that time around the first World War, perhaps, but she'd never even known he was a dragon, nor had he been around much to see if anything had happened. Ah well; such was how it went. Perhaps there had been a child out there missing an actual father and inexplicably half-dragon, who knew?

No point thinking on that now of all times, though; there was a presentation to probably start soon enough, and, perhaps, a few more people to come.

Lelei's return was just as firm as Donnel's, if not more so by simple virtue of his own inherent strength. To him, a good hearty handshake was a great way to gauge another person's constitution and attitude. Donnel's shake was solid and respectful, becoming of a businessman. Lelei could also sense that Donnel was, perhaps, less of a dominant on a more personal level. He liked that.

"I eagerly await any more takers on your business offer."

Donnel, and everyone else, would have noticed Lelei's extremely civil disposition despite his predatory appearance. What had once started as an active decision to be a civil creature worthy of land society had gradually become his normal personality. The decision to be part of Donnel's venture, however, was one made to give himself an opportunity to indulge his baser, alpha predator instincts in a safe way.

Looking at the dragon, and bowing his head in a gesture of respect to another not-quite-human being, Lelei wondered if they were here for a similar reason. The goblin girl seemed to not be hiding her intentions.

Lelei found a seat at a table next a boy that sat quite well in Lelei's prefer taste. He was another not-quite-human, though not quite as overt as the dragon or himself. A lithe feline young man could be quite the fun time if Lelei did not scare him off.

"Good evening, young man. I hope you're old enough to participate in this, otherwise I might have to carry out."

Dorito watched the socializing from her seat, kicking her legs and leaning back. It wasn't normal for her to sit back and observe like this, normally she'd be chatting up some of the other stars-to-be around the room or grabbing a plate of snacks and moving over to August, maybe even striking up a conversation with the man who had invited them all here. However, Dorito remained seated and smiled, looking around the room and observing people talking, pairing up, how they acted... The Shark-man was talking to a cat-like boy she didn't recognize. August was eating in a corner all his own and... dragon. That still stuck out to her, the fact that there was an honest to goodness Dragon in the room.

Thoughts floated through her head, would she have to do a scene with the dragon? Maybe with the shark? Admittedly the idea wasn't as immediately appealing as she thought it would be. The shark was huge, and his muscled body and sharp teeth had stirred a primal flight instinct in the back of her mind. However he was very polite and seemed quite collected and amicable, maybe someone to talk to later. The dragon managed to look magnificent, even while lurking in a corner. Dorito was starting to feel a little impatient, but people-watching at least kept her busy.

Eznier nearly jumped when Lelei started to speak with him, a combination of nerves and what little sense of guilt he had left. Looking over his new companion, though, he immediately calmed down to the point that his tail started to swish in the air. The boy gave a small smile to the older man, somewhat cocky in it's appearance as he wanted to try to impress the shark. He already knew he'd love to be in a movie with just the two of them.

"Don't worry, I'm 18." Leaning forward as he spoke, he gently poked at one of Lelei's muscled arms. He gave a whistle of approval, liking what he felt. "You feel so nice...I hope I get to be in a special with you, if we get hired." The sultry tone in his voice would hopefully convey to Lelei that Ez meant business, a swish of his tail across the shark's leg a bonus to help get the point across. He'd be willing to practice with him even if they weren't being filmed.

~~~~~
Clapping his hands, Donovan tried to get everyone's attention as he stood towards the front of the room. "Welcome everyone, and thank you for coming. I realize this isn't a usual kind of business venture I'm pitching, but I'll do my best all the same. We'll still be waiting for any others to join us, but to get things started I'd like you to turn your attention to the screen here." Hitting a button on a wireless device he held in his hand the projector turned on to the start of a slide show.
"My name is Donnel Mallory. A couple years ago I started a hobby, only with those who were of legal age of course." The slide flipped to a shot of one of his first movies, tastefully edited so the passion of the scene was evident without too much view of the actual sex. "At first just a thing to make mementos of those I had been with, the videos I made gained popularity at an incredible pace. I was even approached by a businessman here on the island willing to produce the videos for sale, something I'd never even dreamed was possible for me."
Another click and the slide came to a logo, loosely based on the Starlight Academy logo yet far enough away to not be target-able by a lawsuit. "With a little seed money combined with the small amount of profits from my amateur films, I would like to open Twilight Productions. The demand for this kind of pornography is quite high even outside the island. I've been told that to the regular viewer, everything we're doing is part of a test of the newest level of computer generated images. Of course, we'll know the truth." With that he winked at the others in the room, trying to pass on the humor of that statement to them.
"I realize I can't do all this on my own, so I put out some feelers for interest in joining this venture. This is where you all come in." With another click, the slide changed to a list of benefits. "With the funds I have as well as with what I project we can make with our sales, I'd be able to pay any actor involved a living wage in and of itself. Thanks to my partnership with my business friend, we will have access to high quality props and medical items. I intend to give you all the best and safest workplace that I can possibly provide."
Clearing his throat, Donnel moved on to the next slide. It was a list of requirements for the actors. "What I need from you all are just a few things. First, I need documented proof that each of you are of legal age for sex. Second, I'll need the same kind of proof of the absence of any diseases that can harm anyone you are with. Third, I'll need a list of what kinds of sex you feel comfortable having and what is pushing the line. Illegal acts will not be tolerated, but I'm willing to push the fetish envelope only if everyone involved in that movies agrees with it." He smiled at this, a kind smile. "I don't want anyone to do anything they don't want to. You'll never be forced into situations that you don't like, I swear it."
Turning the projector off for the moment, he clapped his hands again as he looked around. He knew he probably hadn't covered each aspect of the job yet, which was why he made sure he had plenty of time for questions. "Now, I'm open for any questions from each of you. Don't be shy, I'll answer anything you want."
