By this point, Félix switched to a more consistent piece. It was still very soft, but now more of his attention was drawn to the keys and his thoughts to what part of the piece he had to play next. It was a very recent study of his, and still fresh in his mind. The muscle memory was all still there.

“It's just practice.” Maybe it was, but few people could practise to that degree. Nor could most of them memorize nearly everything they heard. But some could. Some had gifts with music that made remembering and rehearsing a song as easy as quoting lines from a movie. Those dedicated to watching a movie over and over could even quote you the whole thing.

It sounds like one hell of a complicated practise to me... Lysander said, his eyes heavy, as the soft sound of the piece gradually put him to sleep. Which was why he never listened to classical music much. It wasn't that he didn't want to, it was just that... well, this.

He closed his eyes completely, drowning in the sound.

God, how completely idiotic you are. Lyre commented as Lysander's ears shut down and he couldn't hear the sound anymore.

For Pete's sake, Lyre, would you stop already? the boy muttered, seconds away from snoring. I'm trying to sleep here...

“Oh. No, I meant...”

Félix looked up for just a split moment, and realized Lysander was either asleep or just about to be. Gradually, Félix stopped playing and let the tune die away. All he could hear was Lysander's muttering, but not the words themselves. Probably Félix's fault in picking such a quiet piece.

He debated whether to wake the man up or just try and slip out himself. Before Félix concluded, the phone in the back of his pants vibrated. It was probably his valet, telling Félix he had arrived. Once he confirmed it, he looked back at Lysander and studied whether he had truly dozed off.

“Well. Thank you. I must be going.” Félix politely stood up and excused himself from the sleeping Lysander. Best not to wake him up suddenly, though Lysander was probably just hungry from missing lunch so far. Better to leave him to eat once he was awake.

He suspected the campus wasn't so large that he wouldn't ever run into Lysander again. Perhaps then, Félix would have a little more to say to him than a small 'thank you'.

Lysander woke up an hour or so after Felix left the room. He slowly opened his eyes, and blinked, taking a minute to remember why the hell he was sleeping it a chair. When he did, he jumped to his feet, only to trip over a guitar holder and fall straight to his face.

Man, I'm an idiot. he said, realising that Felix wasn't there. The other must have left while he was sleeping, which was only natural after all.

I'll have to agree with that. Corrolis said, chuckling softly from his head.

You and me both. Magena scoffed softly, deciding to add her two cents.

Shut up already. he growled. All six of you. he added, before others could become a part of the conversation as well.

After a few seconds of rolling on the floor, he got up and left, deciding that lunch and some more sleep would do him well. And the next time he saw Felix, he was going to apologize until the next week.
