Name: Søren Sang Jun
Age: 26
Birthday: July 17
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Category: Citizen
Career: Actor (Vigilante Hero)

Appearance Description:
Søren has a face made for the camera. He boasts mature, sharp features even at a relatively young age. In a sense, his visage is timeless, with just enough distinction in the tiny mole on under his right eye to make as his signature.

Though much of Søren’s face seems European, his eyes retain some of the pronounces epicanthal folds from his Korean side. He is 5’10” and somewhat slender despite his muscular definition. On the camera, he can often appear taller and stronger than he is.

Søren usually has messy hair, though he’ll slick it back and leave the ends wavy. He regularly wears makeup even off stage, and is familiar in its application and quality. He also tends to wear upscale clothing that make even his budget cry a little.

Personality Description: It's difficult to understand Søren any deeper than by his impressions. He almost champions moral values and justice, but in the same breath can happily break a few of them to fulfil his own ends. He's noble, almost chivalrous, but in the same vein a greedy, competitive, and lecherous sort. Women either love him or despise him, sometimes both at once, and men may be equally contemptuous and envious.

Something within Søren drives him to be passionate and just, but often his ego clouds this intent and leaves him making bad decisions in the short or long term. This inner drive stems from a sort of alter-ego, albeit not literally a separate personality. It is more of a living mask, a character that Søren cannot quite set aside from himself, and it is one that drives him to be heroic.

When not acting, Søren moonlights, quite literally, as a hero vigilante. The better part of the darkest nights are occupied with his patrolling the island, ensuring crimes both mundane and preternatural are put to swift justice. The power of his eyes helps him locate dangers and crimes before most any other kind of law enforcement, which compels him to act.

Powers:
Eyes of the Ophanim

Søren’s power derives from his special eyes. He has a knack for spotting the smallest details and microexpressions, can opt to see in thermal vision through walls, and can even see around corners or just enough into the future to make his reflexes seem inhumanly fast. Though Søren cannot ‘see’ things for being magical or necessarily see through illusions, his knack for seeing detail means that most visual illusions will be spotted out because they lack to perfect refinement the real deal gives at a miniscule level.

A secondary aspect of this power is that Søren can process visual information significantly faster than humanly possible. He can discern and learn fighting styles just from watching, or recognize languages by the way a person moves their tongue and mouth. It is hard to fool Søren twice, and he improves his own fighting ability just by watching others.

Aside from needing to keep his eyes open to use his power, Søren also struggles with light exposure due to how sensitive his eyes are. Søren’s eyes are most effective at night and in dark places, where there is no sunlight or more oppressive light sources that could easily blind him. Furthermore, when acting as a vigilante, Søren dons a mask made to specifically filter out excess light.

Biography: Søren was born to a Korean father and a Danish mother. Although he had powers his whole life, Søren rarely used him throughout his childhood and opted not to utilize them the way he does now. It was easy to conceal his power after all, and Søren had put pressure on himself to fit in and seem ‘normal’.

It wasn’t until after acting in a live-action children’s show, featuring a heroic character called ‘The Golden Ronin’, that Søren’s mindset changed. The show itself wasn’t particularly popular with children, though it did pull in a surprisingly large adult and teen women demographic. However, most of the merchandising towards the show was toys aimed at young boys, and the show was ultimately cancelled after 2 seasons.

Though Søren saw some success after ‘The Golden Ronin’, he could not reconcile the strange void the character left behind in him. He turned down a more lucrative contract to find work on Manta Carlos, where he intends to hone his power and take up a real life mantle of the old children’s show.
