Name: Amethyst (aka Amélie Ombre)
Age: 22
Birthday: February 22
Gender: Female
Species: Demon (Succubus)
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: 4th Year
College Major: Astronomy/Astrophysics

Appearance Description:
Amethyst would be well above average height for a human woman, at 6’1”. She is otherwise very well-proportioned, with light olive skin and small nose and mouth on a heart-shaped face. She has large golden eyes, and soft angles all along the contours of her face. Amethyst is somewhat slim, but her height and hourglass figure give more of a perception of a full-figured beauty.

Amethyst’s most striking features, however, are her demonic signatures. Both her long hair and her furry, arrow-tipped tail are the colour of her namesake. Both her ears and the dark brown horns on her head take on a tapering, cornucopia shape.

Finally, dark red markings decorate her face, around her neck and collar, and down her back and along the back of her arms. Amethyst can choose to hide the markings by avoiding use of her power, but the other demonic appendages easily give away her heritage anyway.

Because of her tail Amethyst typically keeps to lower-cut pants and skirts. Though she has a small wardrobe of clothes tailored around this extra limb, Amethysts prefers to just build her fashion around the tail instead. She’s not made of money, after all!

Personality Description: For a demon, especially a succubus, Amethyst is considerably more reserved and patient than one might expect. She is playful and clever all the same, with a small selfish and indulgent streak that signifies her kind.

When it comes to what she is and her needs surrounding it, Amethyst is surprisingly plain-spoken. She likes to be up front with her ‘prey’, enjoying the anxiety and uncertainty on their faces when she subsequently seduces them. This is the limit of her demonic personality, however. She does not overtly grand or sinister motivations, and even in her feeding Amethyst enjoys the intimacy and company.

Species Abilities:
Demonic Attributes

As a demon, Amethyst stronger and more athletic than expected of a human counterpart. Although she can overpower most normal people, she isn’t strong enough to be thought of as ‘supernatural’.

As a succubus, Amethyst can feed via intimate acts. This can replace the need to eat, and also replenishes her magical power. She is also supernaturally beautiful, and her eyes especially seem capable of charming a victim and lowering their mental inhibitions and defences.

If Amethyst does not feed, willingly or otherwise, her magical potency will fade and her urges will come out of check. She can eat food to stave off physical wasting, but there’s no substitute for her magic.

The act of feeding drains energy from her victim. Amethyst does not need to drain energy this way, but she needs to in order to replenish her own magic power and stave off more vicious cravings. It is almost impossible to completely drain and kill a victim this way, unless Amethyst’s cravings are so strong as to be out of control of her own mind.

As a demon, Amethyst also suffers from a variety of supernatural weaknesses. “Holy” magic, including magically-imbued religious iconography, are more effective against Amethyst. Her magical power is also easier to counter with ‘holy’ magic, as if it were a magnitude weaker than the opposing force.

Also in terms of magic and power, Amethyst’s abilities and powers are all considered ‘demonic’ regardless of their main function. So even if she cast a simple spell to light a candle, the flame would still give off a demonic aura.

Summary:
+ Strong, fast, athletic (but not above human peak)
+ Natural charming/enchanting ability
+ Can drain physical and magical energy through intimacy
+ Tail
- Weak to ‘holy’ powers
- Magical power weakens without regular feeding
- Always gives off demonic aura
- Risk of losing control over cravings

Powers:
Fatecraft

Fortune-telling is a part-time profession and hobby for Amethyst, but there is magic in her oracles. Amethyst cannot see the future, but rather she can magically forge ‘destinies’ and relationships for other people.

Amethyst’s magic is stronger the more the victim/client trusts or is otherwise open to listening to Amethyst’s fortune. After 48 hours, the magic starts to fade and can only be made ‘stronger’ through the client’s commitment to believe in the fortune.

Branches of this power come in the form of different types of ‘fates’ or ‘destinies’ Amethyst can create for someone.

The Quest: Amethyst foresees a quest the client must fulfill. When the client pursues the quest, they will feel invigorated and stronger, helping them to fulfill said quest. Should they choose to avoid the quest, they will feel sickly and weak.

The Bond: Amethyst foresees an important figure in the client’s life. With The Bond, Amethyst chooses either a specific person or a vague set of traits a candidate person must fulfill.

The client will notice and perceive that person (or the first person to fulfill the criteria) as the way Amethyst describes them. A true soul mate, a dangerous enemy, and so on. The more realistic and believable The Bond is, the stronger this perception will be.

The Demise: Amethyst foresees a tragedy to befall the client. The magic in this fortune will draw out an irrational fear of anything that might put the client ‘in danger’. For instance, if Amethyst foresaw a plane crash, the client would be stricken terrified of going even near an airport.

The Submission: Amethyst’s fourth and strongest fortune is one specifically related to herself. Instead of a traditional fortune, Amethyst attempts to convince the client/victim to bind their fate with Amethyst herself. Essentially, they submit their free will to her.

Falling victim to this magic is not easy, as it requires consent from the client. Instead of trying to impose such magic on a victim, Amethyst typically offers this fortune as a gesture of playful fun, a contract that lasts a set amount of time and with limitations that can draw a person out of its spell.

However, with a mutual agreement on the rules of the fortune, the magic is twice as strong. It can last almost indefinitely if the victim is stupid enough to allow it, and for the time they are under Amethyst’s enthrallment they are effectively her plaything.

((All fates, especially Submission, require OOC consent to activate and use. The power is meant to expand on plots and character arcs, not as an offensive tool.))

Biography:
Amélie was born to a young witch and occultist hiding in rural Europe. Her mother had ran away from her own family at a young age, when a travelling cabal of eccentric yet secretive folk had convinced her she could learn great magic under their guidance. So she did, but at her eighteenth birthday was set up to become a virgin sacrifice in a summoning ritual.

But the demon summoned had other plans in mind than become a slave to some cult. The young witch was a keen learner, and knew more than the cabal had meant to teach. In exchange for the witch’s life, the demon demanded she corrupt the ritual to destroy the protective sealing. In exchange for the witch’s freedom, he requested she carry a child for him.

She accepted. The seal broke, the occultists were slain, and Amethyst was conceived. However, the young witch feared she chose the greater of two evils out of self-preservation. What kind of child was she carrying?

For nine months, the young witch continued her studies and sought knowledge from the deepest cults, the highest of ascetics, and in the most forgotten corners of ancient worlds. She applied magic seals to herself, as many as she safely could without harming herself or her child. She received blessings from those willing to provide to such a witch, and ingested the strangest of goods meant to cleanse evil.

When she first laid eyes on Amethyst, she cried. From her marked appearance, it seemed the young lady had failed. But when the demon returned to claim his new child, he scowled and rejected Amethyst. Not out of any magic seal, but that the child had simply taken on more from her mother than the demon desired.
It was unavoidable to stave off Amélie’s curiosity in magic. Even at a young age, she learned to read a scant few phrases out of the encyclopedias of magecraft. Her mother, despite becoming an accomplished mage, was deeply hesitant to pass on her knowledge and skills to Amélie. Sadly, it would drive Amélie to resent her mother. It was only until she threatened to run away, just as her mother did, that the witch painfully capitulated.

It was through magic that Amélie’s mother realized there was more to her child, more of a demonic presence, than simply her appearance. The more Amélie practiced magic, she would develop markings along her body. Deep red tattoos slowly covered her back, then expanded to her arms and neck. When they finally reached her face, her mother refused to teach her any more.

Rather than let her run away, Amélie was sent to Manta Carlos both for some protection from her father, a more varied learning after so many years in secrecy with her mom, and lastly to develop her magic in a safe environment. Amethyst was more keen on travelling the world to learn, just as her mother did, but she was convinced to start by both her mother and the invitation from Starlight Academy to at least start on the island.
For the last six years, Amélie has miraculously stuck with Starlight Academy. She took a liking to astronomy, in part out of her hobby in astrology, and chose it as a major for her college degree. She found the natural sciences to be an amusing break from magic studies, and stuck with the program to this final year.

So far with her time on the island, Amélie had yet to encounter her father as far as she knew. But there were other demons or similarly unholy creatures mingling on the island, and Amélie grew more curious than scared by the day. She would eventually delve and reclaim some of her demonic heritage as her own, adopting the nickname ‘Amethyst’ to reflect on the distinct tail and its colour.

As such, Amethyst is still a bit of a novice when it comes to being a succubus. Her approach to it can be rather unorthodox, and she harbours a bit of a naive perception towards the whole behaviour.

Now, with graduation looming on her mind, she is approaching a crossroads. Ironically, of all the fortunes she’s seen, Amélie has never been good as seeing her own...
