Takashi gulped at the glowing being in front of him. But he had to admit that he had a point. If he was truly supposed to be the strongest in the world, then it made no sense for him to be a fearful coward here. If the many men and women he'd defeated on his way to the top could see him at this moment, that would only make them respect him even less than they already did.

He clenched his hand into a tight fist. Each callous, every nail, every pore on his battered hand had been curated by his master. Every muscle was made for fighting, even his brain. He wasn't much for thinking, or even much for strategy, but he knew how to move himself, how to handle himself on the field.

Legs spread apart, letting his knees relax. His head dropped a couple inches as he drew his fists up to his chest.

"Alright then. Here it goes. Haaaaaah!"

Takashi punched. He pivoted from his toes, his hips snapped with the power, his arm drilling with precision as though he was aiming at a spot about the size of a nickel.

He punched the spirit in front of him in the face. After all, a spirit couldn't be affected by physical things, right? It wasn't like it actually mattered.

That - that was - that was -

Well, a little disappointing, honestly.

Still, Teddy, for whatever whim gripped him, sent himself flying through the walls. Had he not chosen to, the punch wouldn't have connected in the slightest, and even when he did let it connect... he'd taken stronger. A little look of disinterest formed on his face as he passed through the wall, and then through a few tables, and then began to walk back once he felt he'd had enough.

He came around, passing through a different route to manifest behind Takashi with a wide smile. "That was not bad. I have felt worse, and I have felt better - but I felt it."

Technically true. I did feel it. It didn't hurt but I did feel it.

"It is a fine day then, a day when men so young as you can achieve what many can only dream of. Be proud."

Internally, Teddy crossed out a few words from that and made revisions. That bit of dialogue was from a character he'd only planned on inserting into his work a few moments ago, that of a kindly old man, and he didn't seem to quite figure out how to get that warm and fuzzy feeling into the lines yet.

That was going to be his character for the next few moments then? That seemed about right. Even if kindly old men probably didn't slowly rise up with half of their body stuck on the wall.

"How long have you trained, for you to reach this level -"

Which isn't all too great but that might just be my judgment being skewed by being surrounded by people freakier than me -

"- and why did you set yourself on this path? Power... strength... people seek these out for a reason."
