He tends to avoid touching people himself, except for handshakes. He's more likely to comfort someone with words than a pat on the back.
He can be very opinionated and set in his views, but also slow to judge people without evidence. If there is evidence against a person or they have done something to lose his trust, they would have to work very hard to regain it, and might never do so. He naturally has the quick reflexes and flexibility of a trained athlete. Can sprint up to 25 mph. Not very strong. He regenerates physical damage about twice as fast as a normal human, and even faster if it was done to him in anger. Regenerating a limb would take about a month. This regeneration may leave scars light scarring that resembles veins in size and colour. As well as being very damaged and able to be permanently killed by holy symbols and holy water, Aaron is susceptible to magic attacks, chemicals, and poison. He has a low tolerance for drugs and alcohol. He also has the typical Hellion functional immortality where dying will send him to hell for a couple months to regenerate fully and reappear.

His mother has never told him this and really doesn't remember much of that night. She was actually quite surprised to discover she was pregnant. His mother ended up marrying her high school sweetheart when Aaron was about a year old, and Aaron is not aware that the man is only his step-father. His younger sisters are identical twins about three years younger than him and have so far shown no real signs of taking after their mother power-wise. He is still fiercely protective of them.
Aaron grew up primarily in St. John's, Newfoundland, but also lived in Nova Scotia for awhile. He moved a lot because of his father's job in the navy, but other than that had a pretty average, solidly middle-class childhood. He practically idolised the man he thought of as his Dad, even though the both tended to butt heads a lot as well. he wanted to grow up and join the military and hunt and fish and get married and do everything just like him. They even had the same favourite sports teams. He was also the overly protective older brother. No one dared lay a hand on one of his sisters. Only one of his sisters actually seemed to appreciate this, though, the other being a little wild and rebellious.
Despite being a mostly average student and a nice kid, Aaron did get into a bit of trouble at school. But since this was predominantly in defence of the victims of bullies, it was mostly encouraged by his father. He took up sprinting as a way to channel his aggression, preferring that kind of competition to more close-contact sports. It didn't hurt that he was a natural. She revealed none of this to Aaron, though. She did tell him that she had been to SA and revealed that she had powers. So Aaron headed to SA with no knowledge of his demonic nature, believing he was fully human (just with some powers), and that it was his own father who had done such a horrible thing and that he had killed.

Around the time Aaron turned 16, his more rebellious sister confessed to him that their father had been molesting her for about four years. At first, Aaron thought she was just being malicious for some reason, especially when his other sister denied it. The accusation was too horrible to repeat. A couple of years later, on a family camping trip, Aaron caught his father in the act with both sisters.
