Well this was a first - Kueria has never met someone else who grew up on the seaside as well. Now druids was a term that seemed much less foreign to her for some odd reason. The girl recalled having heard about this race before, she wasn't so sure when. Perking up even more, she then responded with greater zeal "Miss lived near the sea too? That's so cool! Is Miss also a druid? Kueria thinks she heard of them a long time ago."

Upon being asked about her past, Kueria tilted her head, doing her best to recall her life before the seaside. "Well, Kueria remembers being a wind fae or something like that last time but then a mean miss cursed her to be a bird for eternity. Then she woke up in the seaside after apparently a thousand years, Kueria doesn't know why though." Letting out a light chirp, she then continued her speech "Kueria's happy she could wake up because now she got to meet many friends like Miss!"

Was Bel a druid? That was a very good question, and one Bel hadn't really considered before now. "I guess that I am in a way," Bel conceded after a moment's contemplation.

"I'm the Celtic goddess's, Beltane's, reincarnation," she explained. "So yeah, I probably am a druid of sorts," she acknowledged with a thoughtful smile.

Hearing the bird girl's story, Bel raised an eyebrow in surprise. A curse? She wondered what had happened to her.

"That's a really long time," she remarked in awe. "Are you alone? Do you have any family?"

"Celtic goddess" the girl repeated, attempting to enunciate every syllable but not quite succeeding in getting the pronunciation right. "Miss, what is... Celtic...?" That being said, Kueria definitely did find it astounding to meet a goddess of all species! She thought that deities just kind of chilled in some unknown paradise in the sky, never bothering to so much as spare a glance below. Thus it was definitely nice to know that there were some gods and goddesses roaming amongst the student population.

Are you alone? Do you have any family?

Now that got her thinking. The last thing she remembered in detail was simply regaining her consciousness on a seashore. She knew she was cursed - 5 hours of being a fae per day, nothing more, nothing less. She knew she had air powers and stuff like that, however, she couldn't even remember the face of the one that cursed her. Images of her past family were but silhouettes shrouded in a fog of uncertainty. Addressing the lady once again, her tone was a little stuttery this time as her words were laced with doubt.

"Kueria... doesn't remember anything before being a pink bird... She can't really remember if she had any family before. Kueria isn't sad about it though because she's never thought about it until just now!" Letting silence settle between them for a short moment, she then followed up with yet another question: "Miss, is family nice?"

Bel couldn't help but sympathize with Kueria. How could she not? She, herself, as well as her brother, had been torn away from their family at a young age.

"Yes, having family can be nice, really nice," she had to admit with a wistful smile as bittersweet memories of her parents flooded back to her. Memories of a simpler time when her mother brushed and plaited her hair, took them for walks down by the ocean or read them a bedtime story.

"Although, not having a family just means that you can create your own, find the people you love and care about, and make your own memories," she told her.

Kueria nodded as she contemplated what the other was saying. Perhaps family was indeed nice; she felt no resentment whatsoever to her supposed family.

That being said, the idea of making her own family seemed very surreal and not something she could fathom quite yet. Instead, she choose to picture the other's words of finding someone you love and care about as someone like a friend. At this juncture there was a person that came to mind - a fellow student which she'd met not too long ago. The young girl definitely looked forward to forming similar bonds with others.

"How can Kueria make a family? Is family like friends? Has Miss already made her own family?"

Kueria's innocent, but inquiring question of whether Bel had already made a family of her own, made the goddess blush uncomfortably. She sort of had one, but didn't at the same time, and wasn't quite sure how to answer.

"No, not really," Bel said with a tiny shake of her blonde head. "Although hopefully, and with time, I will be able to create my own family," Bel confided as her thoughts strayed to her boyfriend and Celtic god, Samhain.

"And yes, a family is like friends, but good friends. People who you feel a special kinship with," she explained.

As Kueria continued to observe Bel, she noticed a rosy tint slowly bit surely adorn her face. Though she couldn’t quite understand it, she thought it was best not to question.

People who you feel a special kinship with.

Now that was something Kueria might have felt before but she was not quite so sure. She’d been meaning to ask around however there simply wasn’t any opportunity to and this seemed like a good time for her questions. Instantly perking up, she straightened her back ever so slightly as she addressed the other in a tone laced with exuberance.

“How does Kueria know if Kueria has a special kinship with someone?” An imagine of her newfound dragon friend flashed across her mind, throwing her train of thought off course but not before she hastily asked: “does Miss have a special kinship?”

"I do," Bel said as she thought about Azucena, Samhain, her friend, Erione, and a few other special people in her life.

"I have a few people in my life that I have a special kinship with, and would easily consider them like family," she confessed, realising now that she also wasn't as alone as she sometimes thought.

And when Kueria asked her how she'd know, Bel just shrugged. "It's hard to explain, but you'll know it when it happens. It's not something I can explain too well. I guess kinship starts when you feel you can trust that person with anything, and you don't hesitate to share your experiences, both good and bad, with them. They lift you up when you are sad and are happy for you when good things happen to you," Bel explained thoughtfully, trying to explain how she felt around Azucena who was like a sister to her.

Kueria nodded once again as she made an attempt to think back on what she remembered family to be. To no one’s surprise, nothing came to mind. The girl felt a gaping void slowly encapsulate the cage of her chest as the vacancy of memories shrouded her mind. That being said, there wasn’t a speck of sadness. After all, it’s hard to grieve over relatives she couldn’t even remember. Chippering up, she eased herself back to her usual cheery composure as she chided herself to remain positive - even though she had to start building her supposed family from scratch, things as of now were not so bad. Speaking up once more, she ensured her tone was that of her normal enthusiasm.

“It’s okay, Kueria gets it! Family sounds like a very special thing!” Pausing, she sparred herself a moment to gather her scattered thoughts. “Actually...” Stuttering ever so slightly, the girl found her cheeks tinted ever so slightly in rosy shades. “How can Kueria make her friend her family?”

Bel was beginning to notice a trend with Kueria, and couldn't help but wonder where this was going.

"I don't really know," she admitted almost apologetically. "I don't think you can just turn a friend into family. I think it often depends on circumstances and whether both people feel the same way about each other."

"Some people are very private and hard to get to know and some people aren't. Also, there are people who are nice to everybody, but you'd never want them as family because they see everyone the same." Bel explained, not sure she was making any sense.
