On a usual day, Luna is sheathed in a simple navy blue knee-length dress - casual yet practical, reflecting the core of her personality. While fighting, her hair is skillfully woven in a tight updo, preventing inconveniences. Luna's gaze is passive, apathetic, edging on stone cold. The edges of her lips curve downwards ever so slightly while her eyes are a constant cerulean. Standing at a height of 170m and a weight of 56kg, Luna's stature is lean but not enough to be considered petite. She carries herself with grace: unhurried footsteps and a regal tone. That being said, Luna is no stranger to dressing up; when an event arises, her formal outlook does not disappoint.

She’s passionate. Luna trains tirelessly to perfect her way with the sword and hones her magical and combat skills. She believes discipline and hard work are the keys to success. She's the type of person to put in her best effort in everything. If it all boils down to one statement it would be "play hard, work harder". Luna can't stand irresponsible people and will not hesitate to confront them about it. That being said, she does have a more gentle and less... hard-headed side. She's open to new opinions on trivial matters however, she is unlikely to respond positively to excuses.

It is no secret that Luna is accustomed to winning; victory is like a drug to her but above that, she firmly believes her achievements are the only thing that validates her existence. More often than not, she puts up a facade of false confidence. In reality, she does doubt herself and her abilities for to her, they are always lacking. "If I am not the best, I am not good enough." Failure to achieve her aims or failure in general can completely shatter her. Hence Luna generally has above average grades and maintains a high standard of fighting. The motive behind most of the things she does is trying to prove herself worthy of existence. Luna would go out of her way to try and better herself or excel in areas where others would not.

Luna remains loyal to those she respect. That being said, earning her respect may not be an easy feat. When around her closer friends, she would be able to laugh and joke around, however, she is usually silent and apathetic in the presence of strangers. This causes her to come across as rather cold or emotionless and it has become a barrier in making new friends. However, she is also very respectful especially to those older than her or of a higher ranking.

Luna's alignment is lawful good. She often enforces strict rules for herself which she believes pave the way to a better character. More often than not, she finds herself adhering to these regulations as well as the school rules and laws of Manta Carlos. She cares deeply about her reputation and the way others perceive her. Hence she will go out of her way to impress people through her skills in combat.

That said, during combat, her personality does a huge 180 degree turn. She becomes unpredictable; curses, pick up lines, and venomless insults would all be said in the spirit of fighting. In a sense it would be safe to assume the only real way she knows how to communicate is through a good duel.

Light creation and manipulation
Luna is able to create and manipulate light at her own will. She is able to turn surrounding light into crystals as hard as diamonds that weigh much less. Using this ability, she can form weapons to fight with (can be used as physical projectiles too)or physical armor. Luna can manipulate light within a radius of 10m around her (2m in dimly illuminated areas thanks to her weakness). The true limit is her creativity.

When luna creates her own light, she can only use them as magical projectiles or magic shields. The largest shield she can make would be the size of a softball field but it would only be strong enough to shield against rain or light snow. The larger the shield the weaker it is. Magical projectiles can do as much damage as a bazooka while her shields are as hard as steel. In summary, hardening created light is much weaker than hardening the light from her surroundings but it has its own plus points; Luna can temporarily blind people by expelling large flare of light and so on.

Manipulating light requires much less energy than creating her own light. As of now, 1 flare of light will completely drain her magic energy.

Body enhancement
By focusing her magical energy on her body she can amply her sight, smell, touch, and hearing to be 5 times stronger than an average human's but she can only move a maximum of 2 times faster. Body enhancement would drain magical energy hence after a full recharge, without using any other magic, she can utilize this skill for a maximum of 30 minutes continuously.

Though it is stated that she moves 2 times quicker, in her perspective, it's as if the world around her is 2 times slower.

Body of light (active)
Luna's body is made of light hence, much like shapeshifting, she can change her body back into light. In this form she is unable to physically interact with anyone or anything and she can go wherever light is present and travel as fast as light. Attacks will pass through her and cause no damage but she also is unable to attack. By tuning herself to be the same brightness as the surroundings, she can turn invisible. Using this ability, she can materialize mid-air as well. In the form of light she cannot use other magic and cannot attack at all.

Body of light (passive)
Since her body is made of light, Luna can recover from all non-fatal injuries simply by being exposed to light. Fatal injuries would require weeks of intense sunlight to be fully healed. Other wounds heal 2 times faster than a human She can also use light as a substitute for food or sleep (but she never does since they're just too good to replace). All medicine, alcohol, and poison do not work on Luna.

Mana recharge
Luna can convert surrounding light into magical energy. If she's under the sun in midday she can fully recharge within 50 minutes while if it's during the night it can take up to 5 hours. Natural light is better than artificial light. If she's in a brightly litted room, it would take an 2 hours.

Mana recharge is always activated unless she is using magic.

Is she immortal or what?
Even she doesn't know her true age so it is assumed that only darkness can truly kill her. When she first had a conscious, her body was that of a child and continued to grow at a human's pace but physical growth will halt completely after reaching her prime.

The world's first clingy sword
Luna has always had the sword and it keeps coming back. She could toss it into the ocean and wake up the next day with the sword by her bedside. No one knows for sure what material the sword is made of but it hasn't been shattered yet so she isn't opposed to her little pet sword. As of now, the sword is seemingly indestructible, however, it can be destroyed by an opponent who is at least 3 times more powerful than Luna in terms of physical and magical power combined. If the sword is destroyed, it will take 3 months to return to her as compared to a day.

Is it just me or are you kinda glowing
she just kind of...glows... It's not that obvious under the sun but during the night or in a dimly litted area she's basically a glowstick. (However, this does not buff her powers in any way and will not affect her weakness). The intensity of the glow also depends on her emotions. When she's happy she glows as brightly as a street lamp while when she's feeling desolated or depressed, her glow is like a flickering candle.

Darkness
Without any exposure to light (pitch darkness excluding her own light aura), Luna's existence would fade within 2 days and she will disappear (aka die). When kept in partial exposure to light (nothing but a few candles of illumination) she will fade within 1 month. Without proper exposure to sunlight, she will fade within 3 years.

In addition, if luna is forced to fight during night time, she can only fight at half power unless there is a light source (like brightly lited areas or street lamps). In general, any weapons utilizing shadows or darkness would be more effective against her.

Night blindness
In low visibility such as during the night (even when there are street lamps), Luna cannot see areas which her own glow does not illuminate (usually a radius of 2 meters).

She didn't know what or who she was, only that she existed, bathed in abyss of light for centuries on end.

In her first waking moment, she stood in the middle of an arena. In front of her, her foe whom towered above her like skyscrapers and in her hand the hilt of a sword. The starting bell sounded and she leaped into action, instincts guiding her dance of battle. Next thing she knew, the giant's dying cry pierced the air, eventually fading into the white noise of applause. This was her first taste of the euphoria which victory brought and the start of a seemingly mindless addiction.

She remembered the fear pooling and clawing within her ribcage as she sat in a room lit by nothing but her own glow. She waited until finally, the door burst open to reveal a gruff looking make whose face was shrouded in shadows. With a voice rougher than his appearance he addressed the once lost child, now crowned champion.

"Seems you were worth the find, kid. Say, what's your name, what are ya?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

The man grunted, his thinning patience finer than a strand of a newborn's hair. "Prepare for your next match 'morrow. You die, none o' that matter." The door slammed shut and his echoing footsteps sounded fainter by the second. Once again, the nameless child was left in isolation.

Sleep, eat, win, repeat. The repetitive cycle continued until one day she lost and like the drop of water which breaks the dam, she saw her whole world shatter into a million pieces. It was no secret; the price for loss is death. However, as she awaited the final blow, a lone objection sounded out from the crowd. For once, the audience was silent. Time stilled as the woman rose from her seat, slowly, elegantly. She spoke with dignified grace; each word piercing the atmosphere like light penetrating water and enunciated thoroughly in a regal tone fit for a monarch. She was known to the world as Alia but the child would soon call her "mother".

She took her to a planet called earth and gave her a home but more importantly, she gave her a name which birthed an identity and symbolized the start of a new life. Her name was Luna.

That being said, it wasn't any easier; her reward was winning and winning alone, failure was unacceptable. The right to exist was earned, not given. Hence to prove her validity, she trained. There was always a higher goal and the end point forever unattainable yet she vowed to reach it. Despite being enrolled in countless competitions and clinching the champion title, her mother never offered praise for it was expected. Even on her dying bed, Alia gave no acceptance, her last words being "show me you are worthy, not just in fighting but in other areas as well. Until you've attained true success, I will be watching."

Not long after, Luna received a letter offering a place at Starlight Academy and needless to say, she accepted without hesitation for it was an opportunity to prove herself yet again.

Luna lives in the student dorms. She is not supported by anyone hence all the money she has access to is earned either by participating in competitions or working.
