When Jude had said he had a request to make in person, Asteria had probably wondered. Considering he--by the very timeline he'd given to them--still didn't even have his arm yet, the timing was no doubt suspect as well.

But he figured it was worth asking, even if it was maybe a little bit presumptuous.

He'd been to their home before, and he arrived looking as presentable as Asteria no doubt expected. He liked to look well kept when asking favors, and this was undoubtedly a favor he was going to need some wiggle room for.

He had his usual messenger bag over his shoulder, but it seemed unusually large that day.

At the knocking of the door, there was a pause before gentle footfalls padded their way towards the large oak door and it slowly swung open. However, the person answering the door was not, in fact, Asteria. Clad in simple black workout shorts, an oversized white hoodie, and the infamous bandages wrapped around his arms, Ezra stared out from the doorway before locking eyes with Angelo.

"Oh, Mister Jude. Hello. It is a curiosity to have you at the door. I did not realize you planning on visiting today. Is there something you need assistance with, or are you here for a simple social visit?" The white-haired teen stepped back and pulled the door open further, as if to welcome Angelo into the home regardless of what he actually wanted.

Jude wasn't expecting to see Ezra, but when he thought about it, he couldn't help but feel it was obvious. He lived there. Why wouldn't he be there? He lived there.

"Ezra," Jude said with a quick smile. "I actually was coming to talk to Asteria, if she's around?" She should have been, considering he'd texted her, but... well, that didn't guarantee anything. Jude had gotten the vibe that Asteria was a bit scatterbrained during their interactions. Deeply focused on their work, but the kind of person who'd walk into the kitchen, forget what they were there for, and only remember once they'd gone to sit back down... twice.

"Oh."

Ezra stared at Jude for a moment, a faint yet creepy smile forming on the teen's face. "She is currently in the backyard... 'shadowboxing'? Is that the correct term? She is repeatedly punching a large bag over and over." They gave a small shrug, leading the blond into the living room and offered a seat before going down a hallway. The sound of a door opening at the end was faint but noticeable if one was listening for it, and a few moments later, Asteria walked into the living room with a curious glance with Ezra following behind like a baby duckling.

No longer holding the prim and proper professor image that she always seemed to carry; the artificer was now clad in a black sports top and matching workout pants. Her hair was in a loose ponytail, and her signature monocle was nowhere to be seen. From her toned biceps to her somewhat defined abdomen, it was quite clear that Asteria was no stranger to working out and keeping fit.

"Angelo! What a pleasant surprise. I didn't realize you were on the way today. Probably should have checked my phone but I get enough texts and calls that I tend to ignore it." She glanced at the duffel bag, a small smirk forming. "I assume you've come to cash in on my offer?"

Jude hadn't often had people over, but he'd been over to visit plenty of times, and he fell easily into his habits. He took his shoes off, followed politely behind, and took a seat as indicated, content to wait, his bag tucked beside him.

He didn't have to wait long. Asteria joined him in the living room in what seemed to Jude to be a very short period of time. He wasn't surprised to see that she was more casual, but he was surprised to see she'd been working out. The surprise probably showed on his face a moment as he looked up at her, before offering a small nod to her question.

"Yes, if you have time," Jude said. "Although my request might be a bit... unusual... and not quite what you had in mind."

Asteria crossed her arms over her chest, giving Angelo a stern glance. "Are you concerned that you're taking up my valuable time with your request? Angelo, please. The offer was extended for you to come at any time to have this enchantment done. I'm not sure what kind of request you're worried about, but I'm sure I can make it work."

She flipped her hair back in an attempt to be dramatic. "After all, I'm the best of the best. So, tell me what you're plan is." She moved in closer, eyes still locked onto the duffel bag. As horrible as it was, she was very curious as to what Angelo had in store for her.

"More concerned that I was interrupting your workout. I know most people don't want to be interrupted midway through a workout." Him, for example. His dad, for another. It had less to do with putting her out, and more to do with the timing.

But he pulled his bag into his lap just the same.

"I know you've met my father. Has he explained his condition to you at all?"

"It's fine. This was more stress relief than actual exercise." Asteria shrugged, still giving Angelo a curious look. He still hadn't mentioned exactly what he wanted, though. She couldn't help but be concerned by that, but it wasn't that bad. At the mention of Basilio Genovese, however, she couldn't help but frown. The two had met previously, although talks had ended up being quite... interesting overall. At the mention of a condition, though, the redhead shook her head.

"Besides being a bit of a cheeky bastard, I'm not exactly sure what condition you're referring to. Unless you mean the draconic eyes and the fire breathing. It's quite the condition."

"The draconic eyes and the firebreathing," Jude said, unable to stop himself from smiling a bit at the mention of his father being, ahem, a 'cheeky bastard'. "I've already talked to you about Giltenn a bit - my father is host to a similar class of being. As you can guess... a big dragon."

No points for figuring that one out.

"Either way, he has them under control, with a few side effects. The eyes, the fire breathing... But also his weight. My father weighs several tons. If he sits on a chair, it'll break. If he stands on the floor, he'll go through it. The only reason he can function is because he has enchanted shoes which bear his weight. Currently he has to sleep on top of one to keep from breaking the bed."

He didn't like talking about his dad's secrets much, but in this case... well, Jude had decided it was worth the risk. He reached over, digging into his bag and pulling out what he'd brought: A high quality blanket. While originally intended for something like a picnic, it was clearly intended to hold up to wear and tear.

"I couldn't think of anything for my arm. But I thought, if it were alright, that you might be able to craft a similar charm into a blanket, which would help with general quality of life."

Asteria continued to frown at Angelo's explanation until realizing exactly what he wanted. He didn't want an enchantment for his arm; he'd rather give it to his father to help his father have a semi-normal life. Which was endearing. How did Basilio have such a kind-hearted boy? She let out a long exhale, examining the blanket carefully. The quality was nice, definitely not a cheap blanket. It needed to be sturdy to not only support the enchantment, but in case of rips or tears.

"Interesting. Angelo, you've surprised me. However, I'm not going to count this as your one free enchantment." She shook her head, giving Ezra a look. The white haired youth seemed to understand immediately, walking down the hallway and around a corner, and the sound of feet against stairs could be heard as they ascended to the second floor. "First is because the enchantment is meant for you and you alone. The enchantment is a gift for you due to everything with Ezra. Second, I'm not going to do this enchantment... alone. This is something very special that you're doing for your father, but I worry somewhat that this might become a problem if the enchantment falls apart due to wear and tear on the blanket. It is high quality, yes, but it will eventually fall apart."

She paused as Ezra returned from the upstairs, carrying a small jewelry box. They held out the box to Asteria, who quickly opened it to reveal her silver monocle. Once placed in its proper position, the woman grinned. "Angelo, how would you like to learn the trade of artificing?"
