Private Finished A Real Page Turner

The oversized solid black orbs of Tril's 'true' eyes stayed trained on Katie as the girl freaked out. They assumed she would probably run away screaming and that would be the payoff for the joke. One human tricked and scared and no real rules broken. More or less. A good way to pass some time.

But the girl didnt exactly flee. At least not immediately. That was fun too, probably. Perhaps even more fun since Tril really was secretly very lonely.

The demon grinned, showing off sharp pointed teeth in their mirth. But they did at least remain seated. "Yes, hi. I'm really Tril the Fog Demon instead of Katie-the-not."

They snickered quietly to themself before adding, "I was bored and you were doing boring things so I took your face to have some fun."

Tril stared up at katie in silence for a moment before snickering quietly to themself. "What would I do with a soul? Maybe a delicious heart if I was still at home but I don't hunt humans here. I just wanted to have fun."

They suddenly dispersed into the air and condensed back into physical form sitting on the railing at the edge of the roof, a little behind Katie. Keeping the attire that matched katie's but now appearing as a female about Katie's age with long black hair and shiny blue fur covering their skin. Bright yellow eyes. "You can flee if you want. Go back to the stupid homework and books. But you'll be bored again." They gave a small grin.

Tril continued to snicker quietly, seeming to be their primary way of laughing. "You are very easy to trick. That could get you hurt. It's good I only wanted to find someone to have fun with." From where they were sitting the then clambered up to stand on the railing itself, precariously balancing in a dangerous way. But they were smiling.

"Most people just run away or try to fight me. What makes you stay? Just the view?" They asked curiously, starting to slowly and carefully walk on the railing with arms straight out for balance.

Tril stopped walking on the railing and hopped down by Katie with nearly no sound at all. "Yes. I had fun, you had fun and no one got hurt so the teachers can't punish me for doing a bad thing," they agreed and then offered Katie a furry hand to shake. And it wasn't even another trick, for a change.

"So what do you do for fun Katie? You can't just do homework and read dumb books," they asked as they slipped away after the offered handshake, whether she accepted it or not, and leaned over the railing again to look down at the ground so far below them. "Everyone here forgets to just do things instead of reading about them. Waste of time."

Tril finished shaking Katie's hand and then did a back handspring away while still talking. The blue fur looking mildly comedic flopping crazily as they moved

"Too many dumb people who dont like me at the community center. But I still go sometimes," the grumbled in their whispery voice and shrugged. "I go to the woods, I sometimes go where I'm not supposed to, and I look for fun faces to take and play pranks with." There wasnt even a hint of guilt at mentioning breaking rules or tricking people. "Do you want to help me trick someone?"
