Rae's eyes widened as he jabbed her stomach but she quickly spun toward him to strike again, the sword aimed at his stomach. Maybe he is as good a he says... She was NOT going to be beat by him.

Kalix pulled back as fast as he could, though he knew long before the sword sliced through the front of his shirt that he wasn't going fast enough. It didn't cut any flesh, but he'd be needing a new shirt when he gets back to the academy.

After the sword cut a line across his shirt, he continued moving to the side and thrust another pair of fingers at the closest wrist holding the sword.

Rae gritted her teeth as the sword got knocked out of her hand. He was good, but she would get him. She would even if she had to die trying--literally or otherwise.

Rae decided she would be better off if he was on the ground, so she lunged, hoping to tackle him.

Kalix ducked just in time to let her land on his back. Supporting himself with one of his arms and both legs, he lifted her up to let her slide off, but not with the force to send her sprawling. He got to his feet as fast as he could and took a few steps away to gather himself.

Rae unfortunately landed on her hip and gasped. There would be a big bruise there the next day. He's going to pay for that... She got back up and glared darkly. She quickly reached for her sword and attacked again.

As she rushed at him, he could tell she was in a fury. He angrier they were, the easier it was. He grinned before sliding to the side, pushing down on her arm, and lifting her back end to send her sprawling forward.

Rae's sword went flying through the air and got stuck in a tree trunk. She herself landed hard against the sand. Rae made herself calm completely down--which only took five seconds--before standing. She faced away from his, but she remidied that.

Staring directly into his eyes, her own flashed a light florescent purple as she tried to hypnotise him. She waited to see if it had worked.

Kalix's eyes were on the sword when a flash happened infront of him, so he didn't really see it. He glanced back at her with a questioning expression. She was up to something and he wasn't about to get caught up in it. He dashed off after her sword.

Rae hissed when she figured out it didn't work. She then saw him after the sword and sprinted toward it. She wasn't even sure either of them would be able to easily get it out of the trunk of the tree, but no way was she going to wait and see if he could. Her sword was special to her and she didn't want him to.... Rae wasn't sure what she didn't want him to do to it, but she just didn't want to let him touch it.

As Kalix reached the sword, he knew the young lady would be closing in fast. He thrust his hand down on the end of the hilt to test how deep the sword was in the tree. Since it didn't budge, he wasn't going to try to wresle it out with her coming after him. He turned around and positioned himself between her and the sword, taking a martial arts stance, but instead of fists, he had his index and middle fingers pointed outward.
