Rae shook her head. "No. I cheated because I hynotized you and thus you had no control over what you were doing. I'm not entirely sure how you 'cheated', but I'll find out what you were doing..."

Kalix shrugged and turned to walk away. He called back without turning around. "Well, when you find an excuse that sounds decently convicting, just come find me." He couldn't help but smile. He highly doubted anyone could figure out what his "powers" were without reading his mind.

Rae followed. "Why should I have to find you? I can just follow you around." She hid a grin.

He shrugged as he walked. "I'm a sight see-er and a thinker. You'll get bored as I stand and stare at a wall with a spot that looks like someone I used to know." He let out a hearty laugh. The sad truth is that he caught himself doing that once... "But hey... if you want to follow go ahead, but I warn you, I'm not really headed anywhere."

"Sounds like my life wrapped up in one sentence," she muttered. Shrugging, she smiled. "I don't really mind. I have nothing else to do now." Just then her hip began to throb where she had landed on it hard, but she made no mention f it.

"Speaking of losing myself..." A slow mist was rolling in as the clouds slowly covered the sun. With the water flat and them being so close to the shoreline, he could see the light disapear across the horizon. Kalix smiled, but then his eyes went for the tree just past the sand. The branches were still mostly bare, and the mist grayed out the new blossoms. He took a few steps closer and watched in awe at natures way of captureing such conflicting pictures. He reached in his back pocket and pulled out a notebook with a pencil looped in the spine. He opened it up and took the pencil and started sketching what was infront of him, not really adding any detail. He spoke to her as he finished up, "If I don't jot this down now, I'll forget about it by the time I get back to the academy and get my hands on my real sketch pad."

Losing himself? Who was speaking about that? She wondered. She watched him do a quick sketch and smiled. "You're really good," she complimented.

Kalix didn't look up from his work. "Thanks, but..." He folded the sketchpad up and pocketed it in the back of his pants. He turned his head to face her while talking. "It's nothing, really. Atleast, not yet." He pocketed his hands and walked along the sand. "If you're going to be following me around, why not tell me something about yourself?"
