October's violet eyes went wide. At first, she thought it was a joke, but really — who would joke about something like that? She stared at the couple for a long time, unable to say anything. And so soon after Dani had died... oh, gosh.
"What happened?" she asked, voice cracking.

Andrew shifted uncomfortably. "Well...there was this witch. And she kidnapped him. And then she killed him." That was a very condensed version, but Addie didn't need to hear the whole version.
Adelina fell to her knees. She just couldn't take it to hear the whole story again, even if it was shortened.
A few tears fell from the thirteen-year-old's eyes. "Are we gonna get revenge?" she asked. October usually wasn't one for violence and vengeance, but in this case... she wouldn't let it just pass by.

Andrew knelt next to Addie and hugged her. He looked at October and nodded solemnly. "I don't know how, and I don't know when. But we will."
October nodded. It was time to start working on her powers more and learning how to use that scythe of hers. She went to Adelina and sat down next to her as well. "Don't worry. No one messes with our family and gets away with it." She smiled, being utterly serious.

Adelina suddenly jumped up. The thought of revenge could always brighten her spirits! She smirked, grabbing October's hand and puling her up. "Get up, Drew. We need to start making attack plans!" she said with a cackle.
October looked at Andrew with a hesitant look on her face. It was good that her sister was cheered up, but she didn't exactly know if fighting a powerful witch with just the three of them was exactly wise.
