She sniffled. "For everything," she said. She couldn't bring herself to say she had killed their son again. It was just too heartbreaking. When told that they needed to get back to the school, Adelina wrapped her arms around his neck. "Carry me?" She didn't feel like walking, or even moving or doing anything at all.

"It wasn't your fault, Addie." Andrew repeated. When she asked if he would carry her, he didn't even hesitate before picking her up. He started walking back to the school.

Adelina curled into a ball in his arms, still crying. She didn't respond, since she still firmly believed that it was entirely her fault. If she hadn't lost her temper, then maybe Alexander would still be alive. If she had watched him more carefully and made sure that the witch hadn't taken him...

She just sobbed even more. Life sucked.

Andrew set her down when they got to the school. "We should go tell October." He said quietly.

Andrew shook his head. "No she won't." He assured her. He started humming Something Good from the Sound of Music. He started singing quietly. Nothing else had made her feel better, maybe singing would. "Perhaps I had a wicked childhood, Perhaps I had a miserable youth, But somewhere in my wicked miserable past, There must have been a moment of truth, For here you are standing there loving me, Whether or not you should, So somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good."

Singing always made her feel better, but this time, it didn't really. She listened to him, though she was silent for a long time when it would have been her time to come in. Adelina merely held him, but then, drew in a quiet breath. "Nothing comes from nothing... nothing ever could. So somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good..." Her voice was quiet, but it made her feel a bit better. And, to be honest ,she felt kind of bad for feeling better.

Andrew kissed her forehead. "For here you are standing there loving me; Whether or not you should... He sang softly. He wished he could just automatically make her feel better.

Andrew didn't hate her of course. He didn't blame her at all. But he didn't know that she thought he did so he didn't tell her that. "Nothing comes from nothing, Nothing ever could..." He sang.
