"I was actually sad. I honestly couldn't believe how fast 15 years could go by. I wish I was able to spend more time with my daughter growing up, but it is hard being a working, single mother." Daniella followed Rafael's lead into the waltz. It was not an understatement to say she had centuries of experience dancing, but the waltz was not her favorite. Admittedly, it was perhaps the best dance to carry a conversation on, and she was able to perform all the steps precisely while holding a conversation.
"So about my project." Daniella spoke more slowly and calmly know than she did with her first pitch. "Manta Carlos has a noticeable gap compared to a lot of other countries. Despite having over 200,000 residents, we have only one major hospital, divided into smaller facilities, and a large amount of specialty, private clinics. A population this large could likely support 4 major hospitals. Further, there are virtually no non-profit clinics on the island, despite non-profit hospitals being one of the most common forms of hospitals in the Narrow Reality. My understanding on why this happens, is that no one thinks that there could be a viable competitor to the government's general hospital. I think that is a mistake. People do not just want free healthcare, they want quality healthcare, and with magic, it is possible to out compete the general hospital. My plan is to create a high quality hospital by recruiting the best talent from the General Hospital, private practice, and magic clinics. We then charge patients based on sliding scale fees and payment plans. In this way, our wealthy residents would receive better centralized healthcare, and our poor residents could live a full life while slowly paying their debt to us over time."
