Hiatus
It was good Mia had calmed down a bit. The last thing Agnes wanted was for her baby sister to get trouble because of her, and so soon after arriving on the island. Or, well, Agnes presumed Mia hadn't been on the island for that long. But Agnes had been so disconnected from everything it wouldn't be weird if she hadn't noticed Mia.
No, Agnes would've noticed. She would always notice Mia and Oscar.

What was she. That was an understandable question. Agnes put her hands in her pockets and shrugged.
"Technical term for what I am is vampire."
Although Agnes guessed that much was pretty obvious, with the red eyes, fangs, inhumanely pale skin and blood, that was so dark red it was almost black.
"But the latter, I don't know. I guess it's up to you to decide, whether I'm your sister or not. I sure as hell won't act like one to you if you don'g want it. But...after I left you, after what I did and what happened to me, I don't think I'm the same person."

Mia wasn't satisfied with Agnes's answer. She wanted to know if deep down, Agnes was the same sister that protected her for years. It seemed Agnes didn't know herself.

At least the vampire explanation made sense. It explained the changes in her appearance, her new strength, and what happened that night. Mia would have to learn more about vampires on her own.

"I guess it doesn't matter now," Mia said dejectedly. "You're not the older sister who protected me, and I'm not the younger sister that needs to be protected. It's too late to protect me."

"I'll keep an eye on you. I'll see if there is any bit of my sister still left in you. But if all you are is a monster that looks like my sister, I'll end your life," Mia said confidently with tears still in her eyes. Mia than turned away from Agnes and slowly walked towards the dorms, listening to see if Agnes had more to say.

Agnes wasn't the only one who had changed. Mia had clearly changed as well, a lot as far as Agnes could tell. There must've been a lot of shit Mia had had to bear after Agnes left. The thought made her chest hurt, and Agnes grimaced a bit in self-loathing as she watched Mia walk away. End her life, huh?
Maybe it'd be okay if it was Mia killing her.
"You can kill me. But make sure you won't do it in front of Oscar, and...that it doesn't kill a part of you too."
With those words Agnes began walking towards the academy, opposite direction from Mia. Her eyes were dry and mind numb, but inside her heart Agnes was crying like a waterfall.

After Agnes spoke, Mia made a quick wave back towards her without turning around. Seemed like Agnes didn't even care what happened. Mia was fine with that. Mia thought about Agnes's words, that it doesn't kill apart of her too. Was there anything left of the past her to kill? Could she feel even worse than she already did? Mia would figure that out for herself later.
