It had been several years since Agnes had felt like a human being. Her years as a blood bag for a shitty coven of vampires had really finished the dehumanization her parents had started, and after getting out from her captivity Agnes had, through and through, felt like an object, void of feelings and purpose. Or, well, there had been a single purpose. To go back to her siblings and protect them once more, save them and beg for forgiveness after being so stupid and getting captured. But that purpose had been shattered by their rejection and it had finally made Agnes an object. An empty shell that was literally not a human anymore.
It was ironic that now, as a vampire, Agnes had been able to start collecting the pieces of her humanity back together. She could feel things again, vaguely but still. Agnes hadn't found meaning in life, not exactly, but life was worth living for again. For the first time in over half a year Agnes thought she would actually mind dying. It was strange, like riding a bike for the first time in ages. But Agnes was getting used to it.
As for school and classes, Agnes mostly went to kill boredom. She was intelligent, and was able to study by herself and get good grades. Today Agnes had been bored, Kadir was busy and Bel was home so she couldn't play her drums. So Agnes was going to class.
Agnes had her hood drawn over her head and she walked towards the campus with her hands in her pockets. The sun was low enough so the light wouldn't hit her but Agnes wanted to be sure. Her vampiric side just didn't feel calm if it wasn't black out.
At least Agnes wasn't wearing her shades, and her blood red eyes scanned the few people that passed her. None she knew, or just some she'd seen around. Also some other night class people heading back, maybe they forgot something. But one person in the distance really caught Agnes' eye. And as she drew closer Agnes could feel her throat closing up. It was getting hard to breathe, so Agnes stopped. One good thing about not needing to breathe, no hyperventilation. But Agnes could still feel confusion, panic and crushing guilt and pain inside her.
Before Agnes and the girl met she froze where she stood. There was no denying it now. Agnes knew this person. She opened her mouth and forced enough air out of her lungs so she could form her name.
"Mia?"
What the actual fuck was her baby sister doing here?
