The young high school student found the atmosphere of the courtyards rather peaceful. The academy had plenty of outdoor places, separating regions of the college atmosphere. The high school was merely one building out of many. It would not be too long before she graduated it, however. Tenth grade was coming to an end, and she would be a full fledged Junior in high school before she knew it. After that would come senior year and graduation, but really, she had no reason to worry about college ahead. Was it not a given that she would attend college here? She was already surrounded by college students every day, so how much would be different? Other than exploring new buildings, nothing.
The alabaster and golden haired teen sad on a bench in one of the many outer areas, in between the athletics and power refinement buildings. In her hand was a paper cup of hot, sweet tea that she had purchased from the cafe, sitting next to the power refinement building. Having nothing else to do other than pleasure reading the geography book on her lap, Izuna sat quietly and peacefully. Her stream of reading broke as she would lift her head to think about what she had just read, or to take a sip of the warm tea.
Despite the fun she found with the brightly colored maps in the book, she was aware that there was possibly something far better for her to research. Yellow eyes gazed down at the golden bands hovering silently above her wrists. They were impossible for her to remove, and oftentimes unseen to the average human beyond the Veil; not quite invisible, but easily ignored. Was that an aspect of the magic they held? Rika had told her that the bands were seals, meant to protect her, and would help her refine her purification magic. However, they were starting to become a burden the more she thought about them. They rarely snagged on anything inanimate objects, though living beings were able to touch them.
Izuna felt that the Bakedanuki who acted as her caretaker was not being completely honest. She had seen no difference in her purification with the wristbands, and honestly felt she had regressed a little. And what did she need protection from? The island always seemed safe to her. Sighing, the young girl closed the geography book and proceeded to finish her tea, lost in thoughts.
