Appearance Description: Jefferson is a tall at 6'4, with a well toned and lean body. Short and straight black hair, barely even reaching his ears, rests on his head. His expression is almost aloof, with a light smile usually on. Often found wearing hooded jackets without the hood.
Personality Description: Lord Jefferson West is a very friendly and sociable person. At times a bit competitive and fierce, but knows when to hold his tongue - a skill taught to him by long years of doing what he does. Observant and quick-witted, Jefferson can notice even the tiniest detail and spin it into a story or anecdote.
He is very polite and refined (albeit not averse to things like drinking, partying and sex), speaking with a well-mannered and well-bred tone in regular conversation, with a hint of the dramatic added in. However, he switches between that and his loud "LORD" persona when on-air if need be, and generally is flexible person both in personality and personally.

Jefferson's presence is naturally commanding, although the means that grant it this attribute are unclear. All that is known is that people tend to be more agreeable and more susceptible to suggestion when he is nearby (within ten meters minimum and scaling with proximity). The extent of his influence is affected by how susceptible a person is to suggestion and influence by default. However, at the most, without being angry, he can only make people more open-minded.

Jefferson's influence is highly influenced by his emotional state. Anger increases his influence, and when he commands people while angry, his command will feel more compelling than a normal command, and when greatly angered (to the point of physical violence) his commands start to feel like there is a physical force compelling obedience. However, these are still resistible.
Biography: Born a resident of Manta Carlos, Lord Jefferson West grew up to a migrant refugee family that washed ashore around the time of the first World War. Two generations of his family had managed to work their way into the city of Manta Carlos, becoming semi-prominent members of the local communities. They even managed to put up a local publication (a monthly magazine) and a local music shop named For The Record.
Lord Jefferson West spent his childhood in that shop, although he never really managed to pick up the usage of any instrument properly. He could use most any of them, but nowhere near masterful levels. He did manage to pick up a good voice from the voice lessons of his parents that he'd eavesdrop on.
When he was a young child, he stole the family radio from the living room and hid it in his own bedroom to listen late at night. His family actually knew, but they kept it secret from him and feigned surprise when on his twelfth birthday, he rushed out of his room and declared, with complete conviction and unnecessary pomp:
"I shall become a radio personality."
Jefferson worked toward that goal, participating in as much public performance as he could and racking up a bit of a following by the time his power became known to other people and to him. He didn't like that one bit, and fell into a deep depression when he considered the possibility of his success being due to something he wasn't responsible for.
However, Starlight Academy staff came knocking, asking to talk to him. They managed to convince him that his powers only played a minor role in his success thus far. What they didn't say was the potential of his powers to be dangerous if kept unchecked.
Or whether or not they were lying about his power's role in his success.
He agreed to enroll there at the academy at sixteen, and agreed under the condition that they teach him how to keep his ability in check. Over the years, he learned how to not use his ability and still be as well-received as he was in the past.
The lack of a campus-wide radio bothered him, and so when he entered college he started up Constellation Campus Radio, helmed by him after he announced himself to the world as DJ LORD. Recently, however, he's started looking for more people to join him. It's not like he can stay in the radio forever - he has his eyes set on greater heights, and doesn't exactly plan on spending forever in the academy.
Additional Information: Lord Jefferson West runs Constellation Campus Radio. His radio persona "DJ LORD" is a stark contrast to his normal personality. Both personalities get used on the show.
