When the music ended and Marina performed her finishing flip, the sound of a horn signaling the end of their performance blared. Marina stood up with the rest of her team, linked their hands together and bowed for the cheering crowd.

Cheer Squad was popular because Sports were popular. Whenever there was a big event of note, the Cheer Squad came in at halftime to lift the hearts of the audience and the players with their fantastic, well-choreographed performances. Some people may dismiss the value of cheerleaders as sexy fanservice, but those people were jealous idiots and probably not well-liked by the rest of the populace anyway. The Sports teams and the School valued the Cheer Squad's contributions.

Case in point: Amidst the several Sports teams in the school gunning for renting out the Sports Field, Marina managed to put the Cheer Squad into the priority list. It was a beautiful sunny day out here. There were streamers and signs, and a long table that had refreshments, stacks of autographed pictures of the cheerleaders, as well as pom-poms, batons and samples of the uniforms for anyone that decided to try out their cheerleading workshop as well as the following tryouts.

Marina grinned at her team.

"Everyone, make sure to put on your biggest smile for the incoming crowd~" She put her hands to her chest, tilting her head a bit. "Keep in mind a bunch of people are skeptical about us. Show them why I love you guys so much. I'm sure they'll love you too."

She blew kisses at them before waving at the crowd slowly making their way out of the bleachers.

Panting lightly as they finished, Flayace felt a lot better when the performance was over. It wasn't as if they had just made it up, but the fact that it was rather sunny out made her glad that it was over, as she would be spending most of the day outside. After hearing Marina's small but sweet pep-talk to them all, Flayace felt a lot better, being a lot more excited and happy that she joined the cheer squad. Looking around her, she did a 180 to check out where her squad mates were going. Going over to the table, she quickly moved to the pom poms and other cheer equipment, double checking that none had moved and that everything looked meticulously perfect. "Okay." She smiled, keeping her 'cheer-happy-all-the-time' smile in effect as she turned. Looking at the bleachers, she saw the many attendants to their performance get up, moving away from the large sitting area.

'Hopefully some of them will be interested enough to join.' She thought to herself as walked to her side so that she could see the school. Putting her hand above her eyebrows, for protection from the sun, she scanned the area to see if anyone was indeed coming their way. At the moment, it didn't seem so, but that would most likely change over the day, she hoped. Walking back to her squad mates, she walked a bit closer to Marina, wondering if the girl wanted to practice or not. Unsure of the girl's intends, considering that she was most likely busy, she walked over to the autograph area, ready to give out autographs as well as point out as to who each person was on their team. Flayace was already excited for the day to come.

Stiles heard about the school festival events and decided why not try it out. He could finally meet some other people and he could learn some new things too. What could go wrong? He needs to learn to how let loose but inside he still felt a little nervous and scared. Walking outside he saw a huge crowd and decided to check out what was going on. The pint sized boy shoved(not really moving anyone, more of them moving) and pushed about to get through. He kept apologizing as he walked through the crowd. He gained a few stares and a bit of secluded laughs as he pushed through. When he got to the front he saw a group of cheer leaders performing. He was stunned. It was outstanding and the 7 year old boy was thrilled to watch. When they finished their routine he noticed one walking towards another crowd and wanted to meet her.

Once again he did his best to crawl through the crowd. Pushing and shoving and eventually making it to the end. He ran excitedly towards the autograph stand although he really wasn't aware it was the autograph stand. He just wanted to meet one of the members. He noticed there was a line and frowned. He stood in line and waited patiently to get to the front. When he was there he was finally excited to meet this cheerleader. His nose directly lined with the table. "Hi! My names Stiles!" The boy said excitedly to Flayace. "Im new here and I saw this place. That was sooo cool!" For once he felt at ease in the school and not exactly shy and nervous.

It felt like it would be a betrayal not to pop by the damn cheerleading event, being the kind of guy he was, and the kind of people they were.

Or, rather, the kind of person Marina Bellamy in particular, who was playing at the game with such determination, was- which wasn't going unnoticed, oh no. She wanted to impress the right people. He was in that category. Honestly? The way this girl fit into the persona, just as he did, was both amusing and charming. It felt... classic, really. Hard to resist levels of classic- they were pretty much obligated to acknowledge each other, or something more than that.

Anyway. It was gorgeous out, so while he wasn't getting too uncomfortable with the heat yet, he had the sleeves of his customary SA varsity jacket rolled up. and might have to take it off and tie it around his waist after a while. Clarence was actually pretty impressed that the cheer team stole the sports field away. Once their show ended, Clarence wound his way over, practically shoving people out of his way without the physical shoving part, mostly just by being who he was and giving off the right, very worked at vibe. Worked at to the point that it fooled people into thinking it was effortless.

Clarence made an absolute beeline for Marina Bellamy, and flashed one of his best smiles.

"Marina," He purred, with a nice edge to it. Not a threatening edge, but an edge. "Nice show."

Less is more, to start with, especially when there are so many unsaid implications already, settled under things... Like electricity. How lovely.

Morgan wasnt particularly interested in the cheerleading squad, but Marina was a friend and a fellow student council member, and Morgan wanted to show her support. Morgan had never really paid cheerleaders and attention so this was the first time she ever really watched a cheer squad event, it was certainly a dangerous task, performing mid air flips, and other dangerous maneuvers.

After the event had wrapped up she wanderd over to a table with refreshments and... autographed pictures? That was a bit strange, Morgan certainly wouldnt mind having a picture of her friend around but maybe shed try and get one without the autograph. Marina had been approached by someone Morgan didn't emediently recognize, though if she looked a bit longer shed probably remember, the man was wearing a varisty jacket implying he was on some sort of sports team (at least thats how it usually worked back home in Chicago), and she had made a point to memorize the faces of most of Starlight Academy's athletes.

She decided to grab a refreshment and see if Marina recognized her, and started up a conversation.

Whoever said that cheerleading was nothing but cute smiles and shaking plastic pom-poms clearly had judged wrong.

Including Loralei.

Though she wasn’t out of shape by any means, going from a skeptic that joined out of shits-and-giggles to a full blown out member that performed for the school had been quite the eye-opener. Throwing in backflips, tossing people up in the air, being tossed in the air, and shouting what appeared to be nonsense to the crowd. Not to mention the fact that she threw in the old razzle dazzle with her magic. Safe to say, she was beat. Which was the exact opposite with one of her teammates, who seemed more alive than ever.

"Whew! That was intense! Don’t you agree Lori?"

Polly, despite the itch to transform which caused general discomfort and the fact her already frizzy-beyond-tameable hair was poofed up to the maximum degree, was bouncing with anticipation with meeting any fans of the show. Literally. She trailed behind the genie before leaping ahead of her, to the station where they set themselves up for autographs and pictures. The whole idea was a bit much for Loralei, but hell, it seemed like the other members were into it. And that was what honestly mattered to her. For now though, Loralei couldn’t think of anyone else before she got a good drink of water.
"Yeah yeah… Shit … Hang on hon I’m sweating like a hooker in church.." She panted before downing at least half of her bottle. Her more eager friend waiting patiently as her pom-poms shook beside her, as if to distract from the dull pain in hopes for the bat girl to truly reveal herself. But that was pushed aside as Loralei’s voice rang out again. "I gotta say… Marina sure knows how to put on a show..."

That thought lingered in the genie’s head. Ever since that really bad day Loralei knew she really did like that sort of attention. Who wouldn’t? She had the looks for it anyway. Her being cheer captain really suited her persona. And besides, she made for a good leader. Something Loralei could respect. Unfortunately, the feeling might not be mutual.

"I wonder if she hates me..."

Loralei breathed under a whisper that twinge of doubt. Since when did she start caring that people did, anyway? The thought was unexpected, especially when it became vocal. Which was why that Polly’s concerned tilt of her head out of her acute sense of hearing was returned with a simple

"It’s nothin’.".

With that Pollyanna shrugged. She didn’t want to pry, for whatever had happened was none of her business. For now, she just wanted to talk to people and hopefully get a word of praise or two. She liked when people thought she was being a good girl.

"Well, c’mon Lori! The crowd awaits!" Pollyanna yipped after her, bouncing a bit ahead to the rest of the squad. Loralei chuckled a bit and threw down her water bottle, following the mutant’s path. Best to get this thing over with.

Marina spun on her heel and gave the incoming hottie a grin.

If there was one thing Marina liked, it was College boys. And Clarence wasn't just any College boy, oh no. Just like her, Clarence was on top of the food chain. There were so very few people up there that it was easy to recognize who was who.

Clarence was old money. Old money wasn't very impressive to her as a concept. After all, you were basically being born into the pedestal. But unlike his twin Val, Clarence wore fame like a natural. Marina had to respect that.

"Clarence, right?" She chuckled a bit, leaning in flirtatiously. "Glad you liked it. Did you expect anything less?" She cocked an eyebrow confidently. Anything less than a fantastic show would've been inconceivable, she thought.

Speaking of the food chain, there was another valuable player that decided to pay them a visit.

The good ol' Student Council President herself.

Marina waved a bit, inviting her over to their circle. After all, like them, Morgan happily resided at the top of the pyramid. "Morgan, dear, come over here. I'm so glad you came!"

Marina gestured between the two. "Morgan, this is Clarence Crowther, heir to the Crowther Estate. Clarence, dear, this is Morgan Ferris, President of the Student Council."

It seemed that there was a line already, of people that were somehow interested in the cheer squad. As most people that had come down from the stands just looked at the autographs, some taking the more popular girls' ones right off the table, Flayace stood there. Most of the attention was on their captain, Marina. Looking over, she bit her lip carefully at the fact that most of the people wanted to go see the cheerleaders that were actually doing something, rather than see her. Jumping at the sound of a childish voice, she looked straight ahead, then down, to see a little boy. "Oh hello!" She said with a bright smile, not wanting to make it seem like she was unhappy to be there. "I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm Flayace." She nodded to the boy, walking around to him, extending her hands out as she bent lightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Morgan waved to Clarence, he recognized them a bit better now. Clarence was the son of Alva Crowfeather, who was someone Morgan had heard of a few times around the island but had never had the pleasure of meeting. Morgan had made a habit of learning the names of wealthy families, a trait she had inherited from her father, something that would probably end up quite useful at partys.

"Yes im Morgan Ferris, a pleasure to meet you.", her father had also taught her the importance of introductions, a good introduction can make you a good friend.
