Evie was starting to think she was scraping the bottom of the barrel when it came to her weekends.

The party had been going on for the better part of the evening, and while she'd had a decent time at first, well, she'd been going to parties like this since she'd arrived on the island. Parties at clubs, at seniors houses, parties for events and holidays.

And boy, was she getting weary of parties that were 'decent'.

She stood leaning against one of the walls, red cup of beer in hand as she watched some of the more drunken revellers dancing. It was some college party thrown by some guy she'd never met and didn't really care to meet. She had started to realise by now that there wasn't much reason to stick around. The music sucked and even the more enthusiastic party-goers were only keeping themselves going thanks to all the alcohol. Speaking of alcohol...

Well, she may as well get something out of this night, so while everyone else was preoccupied with themselves, she decided to grab as many beer cans from the nearest cooler she could, floating them into the air with her powers and gently nudging them along with her towards the exit. Not paying attention to anyone who might be watching the girl with all the beer floating around her.

Sidney had been going to parties pretty steadily after having been unfrozen and told that she was twelve years in the future. She wasn't dating Aranea or taking care of the old lady any more, so she basically defaulted back to party-going.

The latest one was... not bad, but nothing great either. She'd been invited by someone she met at the last party she went to, but that someone was a no show. Which left a bunch of people who she didn't know, only a few of which who she vaguely recognized. That would've been fine if the party was great, but it wasn't anything special.

She was sitting on a couch, just sipping the last of her beer can and watching a few inebriated teens trying and failing to play beer pong. When the can was empty, she gave it a disappointed shake and got up to get another.

It was in her travels that she caught sight of Evie. She could already tell exactly what was going on, but came over anyway.

"Hey, white hair! Just what do you think you're doing?" Her tone was clearly more teasing than upset.

Well, she hadn't expected her little attempted theft to go on unnoticed, she supposed. Putting her usual smirk on her face, she pirouetted on her heel to face the voice calling out to her.

"What's it to ya-woah!"

The smug expression was quickly replaced by one of surprise. Purple fluffy bug-looking person. Ok, that one was new, she admitted. Not the most outlandish thing she'd seen on the island by far, but still a surprise.

She recovered quickly, though, the mischievous expression quickly returning as she crossed both hands behind her back and leaned forward slightly.

"I 'unno, bug girl, I was thinking of taking all these cans and practising my juggling or something." She shrugged with a look of mock nonchalance. "It'd probably be more interesting than this sad ass excuse for a get together, y'know?"

Sidney was just a little amused by the reaction she got. She wore a slight smile the entire time Evie was explaining the situation and when she was done, Sid took a look back at the party. She looked from one end of the room to the other as if she needed to consider whether or not juggling was actually better or worse. When she was done, she turned back to Evie, scratching her chin for a second.

“Yeah, you’re probably right.” She shrugged. “Alright then, lead the way, I wanna see some juggling.” She didn’t ask if she could come with, she was just going to.

"What, just like that? Do I look like I'm here to perform for you or something?"

She shook her head, a similarly teasing look on her face as she spoke.

"Well, maybe if I'm feeling generous you can tag along. Though I guess that depends if you can keep up." She stepped forward, peering around her mothlike body, curiously. "Those wings just for show?"

“If you’re gonna do it you might as well have an audience.” Sidney’s wings quickly spread out all the way and were followed by a very confident grin. “I can assure ya, keeping up won’t be a problem.”

She giggled to herself, stepping back, mulling it over in the back of her head silently. After a while, she simply shrugged.

"Eh, why the hell not? Might as well have some company. C'mon, let's blow this joint."

And so Evie, and the multiple floating cans of beer around her, moved off towards the exit, gesturing for her to follow.

"You got a name fuzzy pants?" She asked, casually, glancing back behind her as she did.

Score. Wherever the heck this was going, it was definitely going to be better than hanging around the party any longer. With a content smile, Sidney followed along behind Evie as they made their way out.

She giggled a little at the nickname, before correcting her. "That'd be Sidney Fuzzy pants actually." She watched the cans floating seamlessly around her, distracted for a second before walking up beside her. "What about you?"

After stepping over a partygoer who had apparently decided to sleep off his hangover on the floor, Evie spun around on her heels, walking backwards out of the door with a wide smirk.

"I'm Evie," She flicked a pair of finger guns at her and clicked her tongue. "Nice to meet'cha. Now before we go on, I'm afraid I got some bad news."

Once they were outside, finally out of the stuffy, noisy building and able to feel the cool nights air, Evie's expression suddenly shifted to one completely serious, taking on a completely monotone voice as she spoke.

"I have to go now, my planet needs me."

And then she simply started to rise into the air, the stolen beer following after her, her body completely still as she floated up.

She managed to keep the same expression going for a few seconds longer before her trademark grin broke across her face again. Giving her a challenging look, Evie started to fly off, not too fast to ditch her but fast enough to make her work to keep up.

Sid watched, with a slightly confused look as the girl floated away, supposedly off to her planet of white haired munchkins that needed her. With everything she'd seen on the island, it was weird but totally possible. Though the second the grin appeared on Evie's face, Sid just shook her head and spread her wings once again. "This better be some damn good juggling."

With that, she started flapping, lifting into the air and off in the direction of Evie. Luckily, her eyesight was top notch, so it was going to be hard to actually lose her. Although, keeping up wasn't exactly easy. She tried her best to get beside her, yelling in between breaths. "What'd I tell ya!?" Quick breaths. "Piece of!" Quick breaths. "Cake!"

As far as flying powers and wings went on the island, Sidney's were never on the upper end of the spectrum in terms of speed. She was only really able to fly about twice as fast as she could run.
