In assault form, she takes on her true form as large flying biomechanical serpent of black and with yellow trimmings. She is nearly 80 feet long held aloft by 3 powerful jet engines that are able keep their the 8-ton biomechanical body aloft. Along her sides are six rectangular boxes that can fold out in spider like mechanical legs each tipped to spear-like points and crackle with electricity. Her narrow gun-like maw also crackles with stray electricity between its pointy, chrome teeth. Below the tip of her jaw exist a single omnidirectional optical sensor.

Coy:
Puts on a playful pretense of demure modesty and meekness to mask ulterior motives.
Nosy:

Conniving:
While well-mannered, there is insincereness about her that leaves people questioning her true intentions.
Dragon Wariness:
Their composure becomes strained when in the presence of a dragon.
Active Abilities:
Mode Change:
Co-opting a dragon’s natural magical ability to change form, Dragoons are capable of shifting between three modes: recon, hybrid, and assault.
Picture Perfect Eye:
Their eye is a powerful camera that can zoom in nearly 10 miles (16 kilometers) away. Snapshot is also capable of taking hi-resolution photographs or short videos. These can be later played by with a holographic projector also located in their eye. While able to see in the dark, their vision range is halved.
Eavesdropper Suite:
Built into their head is an is cellular receiver that allows them to connect to electronic communications devices such as cell phones or radios within 100 feet (33 meters) of themselves. While they are unable to extract anything from the phones remotely, they are able to intercept ongoing communications messages sent to and from the device in question.
Arc Lightening:
From their fingertips/claws, Snapshot can spout an arch of electricity 6 feet (2 meters) away.. These shocks are not powerful enough to kill a person but can immobilize for them for short time.
Tempest Cannon:
From either their tail in hybrid mode or toothy maw in assault mode, they can fire a high energy particle beam capable of punching though modern tank armor. The damage is relatively light as it only creates an injury half of an inch (1.25 centimetres) in diameter. Between each shot it takes 30 seconds for the cannon to warm up before firing. One can also tell where Snapshot is lining up their next shot based on the red dot of light of laser pointer used for targeting. While the beam is powerful, it’s energy quickly dissipates after striking any object, preventing over-penetration.
Passive Abilities:
Magical Biomechanical Construct:
Snapshot is a synthetic organism their internal physiology blurs the line the biological and the mechanical, the technological and magical. Never do they tire, have no need of sleep, immune to poisons and toxin, do not burn and are able to survive the cold vacuum of space. They are also unfazed by high-pressure environments found like those on the bottom of the ocean and can endure temperatures as hot enough to melt steel.
Self-Repair Protocols:
Can regenerate from minor or modest injuries but takes three longer compared to the typical human. Extreme injuries such as decapitated limbs would need to be reattached or recreated by a trained mechanic.
Flexi-dermal Armor:
Is covered in a light polymer material that makes their skin and/or exoskeleton almost like a flexible plate mail all over their body.
Mecha Musculature:
Snapshot is capable of lifting up nearly 1 ton (900 kilograms) in their recon form and capable of carrying up to 3 tones (2725 kilograms) in either hybrid or assault forms.
Jet Boosters:
While in hybrid or assault modes, Snapshot is capable of flying to speeds up to 85 mph (135 kph). When on the ground the boosters to "hover" above the ground so that they are not putting their full weight on the ground.
Dragon Sense:
Can sense dragons or draconian descendants within her field of vision even if they are disguised as another race.
Weaknesses:
Sensitive Optics:
Sudden flashes of light directed to the eye will leave Snapshot blind for several minutes.
Overload:
Is sensitive to electrical discharges directed to them and their internal systems go on the fritz when exposed. Anything more powerful than a taser forces them into a reboot phase that leaves momentary confused for about a minute.
Exposed Thrusters:
The thrusters used to make them fly also help offset issues of their immense weight and allow them to move normally in their hybrid and assault modes. If one of their thrusters is damaged or destroyed it will leave them grounded and their movement is slowed by half. If all their thrusters are damaged or destroyed, Snapshot become too heavy to support their own weight and their movement slowed to crawl.
Fueled by Hate:
Inside of every Dragoon, is a raging human soul whom’s righteous desire for vengeance against dragons gives power to these terrible war machines. Should their anger ever simmer, the Snapshot becomes more lethargic and eventually power down should their souls ever find peace or reconciliation. To avoid wasting away, they will have to renew their anger at dragons or find some other sources of anger to sustain themselves.
Deprived Senses:
Deemed unnecessary during their construction, Snapshot possess no ability to taste nor smell… something that they greatly lament.
Uncommon Tastes:
While their tortured human souls provide them with all the power required, their bodies do require “food” in the form of exotic materials such as metals, petroleum, and electronic components while they are active.
Biography:
Originating from an alternative universe where dragons ruled over mankind, all she ever wanted was to show the world the beauty of her home through the lens of camera. To show its beautiful architecture, its beautiful art, its beautiful cuisine and most of all its beautiful people for all the world to see… but that world is no longer. But when humanity rebelled against the dragons, her home was razed to the ground in dragonfire and the people she loved so much now charred husks. All she had of the world that once was where the photographs of that time before… and a burning vengeance against the scaly devils that stole it all away.
They were human once, but when the offered the power to slay dragons… she accepted what terrible price was to come with it. A new body was prepared just for her, one fashioned from derelict war machines and dragon corpse meshed together with artificial tissues… all that was needed was a human soul to serve as its battery. The extraction of her soul was pain beyond comprehension but when it was all over, she felt nothing... nothing but an unseething rage directed to dragonkind as they were now entombed within a dragon killing vessel. On that day, the person they were once before ceased as they were reborn as a dragoon: that day they became Snapshot.
A photographer’s curating eye now turned to the lenses of war, Snapshot was utilized by the military as long-range observation unit as well as deadly sniper depending on the situation. Forming warpacks with their fellow dragoons, they would hunt down targets of opportunity as command saw fit. But as the decades of war worn down the resolve of both humanity and dragon, an unthinkable prospect of peace was brokered to save their planet. Such peace however went against the nature of the dragoons and when they were called to lay down their arms, they turned their weapons on their own their own creators. They were after all build to slay dragons… not to save humanity.
Weakened from their long war, both man and dragon were soon extinguished by the dragoons. Inheritors of a dead world, they cracked their planet for whatever useful resources remained to craft a fleet of stellar ships. With their victory on earth a prelude of battles to come, their collective gaze turned to stars… the galaxies… and beyond.
Assigned to the Baltica Warfleet, Snapshot would continue to serve for hundreds of millions of years in rooting out dragons in hiding either in some desolate world or hidden among some alien society. Such was their mission when they arrived to an alternative universe with an earth that was in so many ways like their own before the dragon wars. Assigned to a warpack to investigate the planet, their vessel was brought down by some unknown anomaly on the planet. Snapshot’s warpack was scattered across the planet their stasis pods, waiting to be reactivated.
After being unintentionally reactivated by peasants in 16th century France, Snapshot would would hide among human societies. Cut off from the rest of their warpack, they continued their mission of reconnaissance throughout the European region. Snapshot would also mettle with human affairs to provoke conflicts with dragons, supported organizations that hunted dragons, or even killed stay dragons herself when presented the opportunities. It was only in the 1960’s that Snapshot would finally reconnect with a fellow dragoon and leader Cortex Prime. After being briefed by their leader, Snapshot would receive new orders to relocate to Manta Carlos.
Once on the the island, they were to observe and study the capabilities of dragons living there. Secondary objected also included evaluating prospective allies on the island and to uncover anomaly responsible for cutting off their contact with the warfleet. With their new objectives realized, Snapshot established themselves in the familiar role as freelance photojournalist (or member of the paparazzi depending on who you ask) to blend in with society and stalk its dragon population undercover. While they were ordered not to engage or kill dragons under any circumstance, to Snapshot the mission was the same as always: observe though a lens and wait for the right moment to take the shot.
