At first glance, one could be forgiven for thinking this milky-skin child with bleach white hair and scarlet eyes to be suffering from albinism. Her apparent condition however is due to her vampire heritage which can be seen in pronounced canines hiding behind heart-shaped lips. If she were to smile, one can make out dimples on her cheeks. Her face is triangular in shape with supple chin and cute crescent nose. The striking crimson of her eyelashes and eyebrows compliment the coloration of her almond-shaped eyes, naturally draws in viewers for a closer look.
When looking at her as whole, she is petite and dainty looking for her age as stands in at only 4 feet 11 inches (150 centimeters). Though she would appear to be at a healthy weight for her age, in actuality barely weighs in at 64 pounds (29 kilograms) though this number is highly variable as, depending on how much blood she has stored, could potentially weigh in at 240 (109 kilograms). Her fingers are slender and her nails well-manicured, evidence of girl whom cares much for her bodily image. Like porcelain, her skin is devoid of any flaw or apparent blemish. In fact, many would find the comparison to a life-size porcelain doll a scarily accurate description for Aedes due to her uncanny perfection she embodies and how fragile she looks.

When shifting into her demonic form, Aedes retains much of her humanoid appearance around the core of her body. Its only at the extremities that her insect-like features become apparent. For starters, everything below her kneecap is replaced with stilt-like limbs of black and white chitin and several long crimson filaments protruding outwards from dark knobby growths. This elongation of her legs adds another 19 inches (48 centimeters) to her height, for total height of 7 feet (2.13 meters). For feet, she stands on two hooked talons, balancing upon them like high heels. Her arms are similar to her legs, with insect like appendages spurting out from where her elbow should be. However, instead of one limb each elbow splits into two spindly arms that dangle with three-digit hands each equipped with sharpened claws.
Moving onto her backside, erupting from her tailbone, is a large narrow abdomen although it can expand great size when swelled with blood. Its coloration depends on how much blood Aedes has in reserve, usually a black and white coloration although the white areas can appear pink when gorged with blood. Those whom say otherwise will find themselves an enemy whom would gleefully seek their ruination.
Attention-Seeking: Fueled by her narcissism, Aedes seeks to put herself in the spotlight as much of possible. To her it matters little if the attention she brings is good or bad, so long as all eyes are on her then all is well.
Sassy: Quick of wit and sharp in tongue, Aedes passes out carefully concocted insults to pretty much everyone she meets. She takes great enjoyment when her words hit their mark.
Naturally Deceitful: Tells lies with such confidence and boldness that one could be forgiven for believing her deceptions. While she primary remains in humanoid form, she can switch seamlessly back and forth for her human and demonic forms at will (after briefly becoming a swarm of mosquitos during the transition). While her human form has no remarkable features (aide from a pair of sharpened canines) that different herself from a standard human with albinism, her demonic form is more exotic due to her more mosquito like-appearance. In demonic form she spouts for dangly arms, elongated legs, a pair of wings, an abdomen, and a pair of compound eyes on the top of her head. While her wings do grant her fly, the compound eyes on top of her head are none functional and more like a decoration on her head.
Mosquito Cloud:
Can transform her body into a swarm of mosquitoes equal to the mass of her body and the blood stored inside of her. The mosquito cloud she transforms into are near identical to a vast plague of Asian tiger mosquitoes save their ability to drink blood do to their proboscis being too weak to penetrate anything. When in this form Aedes can move around as if she were smoke, slipping through the tiniest of spaces to get into all sorts of places. The swarm itself moves as if a single organism, never straying more than 100 feet from the mass mass of the swarm. Outliers outside of this 100 foot (30 meter) range will quickly die when outside of the area of influence.
While in swarm form, Aedes has a black and white omni-vision about 16 feet (5 meters) around the main mass of the swarm. She can detect the presence of warm living bodies about 100 feet (30 meters) away from the main mass of the swarm as well via the detection of carbon-dioxide exhaled by most animals. Its important to note that area of vision and detection originates from roughly the center of mass of the entire swarm as a whole. Mosquitoes near the edges of swarm DO NOT expand the area of vision or detection.
Aedes can however only maintain this form so long as has excess blood to maintain. This is because of concerns over the attrition of the mosquitoes dying of “natural” causes, at about mass equal to half a gallon of blood (about 2 liters) per minute. If she was to use this ability without ample blood supply, the lost mosquitoes lost to attrition would manifest as random injuries to Aedes body equal in mass to the mosquitoes that are dark. Along with the natural attrition, any mosquitoes that die to other causes (pesticides, swatting, incineration, ect) will further add to the loss Aedes blood supplies equal to the total mass of mosquitoes lost.
Proboscis:
In either her human or demonic form, Aedes can extend a 10-foot-long (3 meter) proboscis from her mouth. The very tip of her proboscis is bladed and about inch wide with a circular opening where blood would be suck up through. After a foot (0.3 meters) the proboscis tapers into a more cylindrical shape about with a 2-inches diameter and is about as strong and flexible as steel cable. This allows her great utility and is able to use this proboscis much like the tail of monkey though she can barely lift 20 pounds of material (9 kilograms).
When used offensively, the tip of the proboscis is almost as hard as diamond, giving her excellent penetration (able to penetrate several inches of tough material like dragon-scales or tank armor) when thrusting the proboscis as rapier. Alternatively, she can swing her flexible proboscis as thick bull whip, leaving behind nasty lashes on soft targets.
While the proboscis is surprisingly strong (given how frail her body otherwise is), one weakness is that its not firmly attached so one was able to get a firm grasp on this proboscis, they could potentially pull and pop out the wriggling appendage out from Aedes's mouth. This would leave her without proboscis for about 10 minutes as the proboscis doesn’t regenerate as easily as the rest of her body. When the proboscis is not in use, it coils neatly inside of her stomach.
Passive Abilities:
Bloodsucker – Can drink the blood of sentient creatures using either her fangs or her proboscis. While capable of drinking gallon of blood per minute, by some quirk of her physiology she can can’t drain a person of all their blood. Even if she wanted to, by some strange compulsion the moment she can sense that she has taken 25% of their blood her feeding immediately stops. The victim will look a bit pale and complain of weakness and shortness in breath for the rest of the day, they should be otherwise be alright and recover.
Bloodbag – Can contain 3 times her weight in blood, allowing her to contain 180 pounds (roughly 21.5 gallons) or 82 kilograms (roughly 82 liters). As this blood is contaminated with various blood types and pathogens, it’s not recommended for use in blood transfusions. In human form this blood is stored in her stomach in compressed form while in her demonic form the blood is stead stored in her abdomen.
Bloodsense – something about being a vampire, or perhaps a mosquito, makes her senses keenly tuned to detecting blood and is able to detect the scent of exposed blood from a mile awhile.
Vampiric Regeneration – Though frail, her ability to heal from physical injuries is second to none. So long as she has blood in her system, she can heal using the mass of stored blood in her system to mend equal parts lost flesh. Minor scraps and bruises heal within seconds, while more serious grievous injuries like limb loose can heal within a minute. If she however lacks the stored blood to heal the injury, said injury will continue to persist until she can secure a source of blood. If, however the injury was the result of a fire, acid, holy, or silver is unable to heal momentarily as it causes the injury to cauterize. After 1 hour such injuries will be able to heal as normal for Aedes.
Flight – In her demonic form, Aedes is capable of flight with her pair of wings and is able to sustain a comfortable 60 mph (96 kph). Her wings also emit a loud whining noise during flight that many found mildly annoying while those with more sensitive ears finding the beating of the wings loud and obnoxious.
Instinctual Knowledge – Despite being only a mere few months old, Aedes seems to instinctually “know” concepts that human child of 12 to 14 years of age would know. She is thus familiar with concepts such as math, science and even history. How she knows these things? She just does. Her instinctual knowledge also grants her an understanding of English, Latin, Demonic, and Hungarian. Lastly, her innate knowledge allows her to know the abilities and weaknesses of her other 22 siblings and mother.
Disease Immunity – Immune to almost all forms of diseases caused by bacteria and viruses.
Poison Resistance – While not wholly immune to the effects of various toxins in the world, she her partially undead nature means many of poisons are unable to kill her but will nevertheless make her feel ill.
Infectious – While immune to diseases as a whole, her body is full of all sorts of nasty viruses and bacteria. Upon drinking someone’s blood with either her fangs or proboscis there is chance the that person may contract malaria, yellow fever, dengue fever, chikungunya virus, or zika virus. Does not cause the target to acquire or contract vampirism in any form however.
Cold Resistance – Despite her insect physiology, Aedes can tolerate colder temperatures to which she credits to being partly a vampire. However, this can only go so far as temperatures below -4 Fahrenheit (-20 Celsius) will cause her to become sleepy and even force her to enter hibernation unless warmed up. The cold however, will never kill her.
Nocturnal – Is naturally adapted to the night life, able to see well in the dark. However, has trouble seeing during the daytime without sunglasses and is often finds herself somewhat tired at daytime.
Weaknesses:
Limited Lifespan – Began life with a measly lifespan of a few months but by devouring enough of her brothers and sisters she is now expecting to live for about 8 years. Hunting down her remaining siblings would allow her to add whatever their current lifespan is to her own. Killing their mother Nasci meanwhile would make them immortal… so long as none of her other brothers and sisters don’t slay her after acquiring her newly won immortality.
Blood Dependence - Requires a steady diet of at least 3 gallons (about 16.5 liters) of hemoglobin-based blood per day though she can rely on stores of her own blood stored in reserve if unable to feed for the day. If her blood reserves however run dry before she can get her daily requirement of blood she dies and turns to dust. Simple as that.
Fire Weakness – Being both a vampire and mosquito, she does not handle fire well. She readily burns under the flames as the fire interrupts her ability to regenerate the burn tissue for 1 hour after the fire has died down. The pain is so great that she will willingly sever her own limbs to prevent the spread of the fire.
Holy Weakness – Like many demons from the realms of Sin, she shares weakness to all holy. This is especially true of holy places, objects, and powers originating of the abrahamic traditions. Contact with things such as holy water or crosses inflict acid-like burns on Aedes' flesh. Stepping into holy sites like churches, synagogues, or mosques is will leave Aedes feeling as if there are worms crawling just under skin that are burrowing and eating her alive, causing her to scratch madly all around her body.
Silver Weakness – Objects made or coated in silver cause severe burns upon direct contact with her body. A painful sensation in which the contact with silver impedes with her natural regeneration on the damaged tissue for about an hour.
Sunlight Weakness – Practically roasts under direct sunlight and causes her skin to turn an embarrassing shade of pink. While she can tolerate being out in sunlight without protection, Aedes hemorrhages her blood reserves as her body uses up about a gallon of blood per minute to heal the surface damaged caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight. Upon reaching a shaded area to hide from the sun’s direct light, it will take several minutes before her pinky skin returns to is more “natural” white. While under direct sunlight Aedes is unable to heal herself.
Frail Body – Is as fragile as she looks, a playful punch can cause some gnarly bruises and her bones are about as brittle as dry twigs. While her remarkable regeneration allows to quickly recover from these injuries as easily as they came, it’s still remarkably painful to burned by holy magic or have limb pulled off. Given how weak she is, she is also barely able to lift and carry things over 40 pounds (18 kilograms) in weight.
Heart Impalement – While hardy due to her rapid regeneration, this ability to heal herself steams from her heart’s ability to pump blood to damaged tissue. Thus, impaling Aedes heart with an object like a stake or a spear is highly effective against her. If whatever object that impales Aedes is not removed writhing a few minutes she will expire, wriggling and flailing about as she gasps for breath. Objects made of silver, blessed with holy attributes, or coated in acid or flame will be the death of her even when immediately removed for the caustic damage it does to her heart hampers the regeneration of her vital heart, thus dooming her to a few mere moments of life before at last dying.
Decapitation - While her cracks about as easily as egg, Aedes is capable of surviving most forms of severe head trauma so long as part of her brain remains attached to the stem. During the time she is is regenerating her brain bits however she is will temporally immobilized for several seconds. If the damage to her brain was due to fire, acid, holy damage, or silver she will enter a coma-like state for about an hour. However, if her head separated or her brain wholly destroyed she will quickly parish and become nothing more than dust.
Water Aversion – Has an irrational fear of crossing or swimming over significant bodies of water. To the extent that she will refuse to fly over the water’s surface and instead only crossing the watery body if there is pathway such as bridge for her to cross. Aedes is also a very poor swimmer and will die if she drowning. Gets seasick while on water vessel and airsick while in an aircraft flying directly over water.
Garlic Allergy – Highly allergic to garlic. While direct contact won’t kill her, it will cause her skin to puff up and break into hives for the day. Keeps her distance from those whom smell strongly of garlic.
Reflectionless / Shadowless – Cast no reflection on reflective surfaces (mirrors, water surface, ect) which is a bit of an issue for someone so infatuated with their own beauty. They also fail to appear in photographs or videos taken with recording devices, as if she was not physically there. Her accessories like clothing, jewelry and make-up however will show up as normal. She also interestingly enough casts no shadow.

Biography:
Aedes began life as but a mere egg, a time in which she could only recall darkness and the sounds of some commotion. Aedes has the good fortune of being one of the first to hatch from the cluster of eggs, nothing more than wriggling disgusting larva thirsting for blood. And who better to offer their lifeblood than her own brothers and sisters just hatching all around her… still vulnerable as they emerged. By the time she was separated from the others, she had already drunk 8 of siblings dry, adding their lifeforce to her own. For several weeks her caretakers watched over Aedes, whom only displayed animistic intelligence, and feed her a steady diet of blood until one day the larva entered the tumbler (or pupa) stage. The next day, she emerged from her blood red husk as young albino child, appearing only 12 or 13 in age. In addition to her appearance, she appeared to have all of the mental fatalities expected of a child of her age. Staff quickly remarked that she was intelligent, she seemed rather enamored with herself. As time went one, more problematic tendencies emerged such as her penchant for lying and constant demands for attention by these assigned to look over her.
When several of her other siblings in the rooms nearby began to die to due to asphyxiation, it was assumed that their deaths were the result of the children’s inherent physiological defects. When Aedes was caught somehow in her sister’s room attempting to strangle them with a pillow late at night, she was immediately pulled off of her sister and questioned. It was then they learned of Aedes’ ability to slip into other nearby rooms via tiny cracks under the doors using her newfound ability to turn into a swarm of mosquitoes. When ask if she knew of the deaths of her siblings nearby, she only smiled and claimed that she had not heard of their demise. While there was strong speculation that Aedes was responsible for at least 3 of siblings since becoming sentient, there was a lack of evidence to prove that Aedes was directly involved with their deaths. As precaution her room refitted to prevent her from escaping again.
Since then, her caretakers noticed many psychopathic tendencies developing in this child and arranged sessions with several of her caretakers to try to build up her “cognitive empathy” with focus on rewarding Aedes for good behavior and following rules. The staff also sought parties interested in adopting Aedes, hoping that having a parental figure in her life would be a positive influence for the demonic vampire child. Eventually a dhampir by the name of Endrit Prifti offered his home to the young Aedes as foster parent. While the staff had some reservation with known criminal taking care of an already problematic child, eventually it was decided that Endrit was the best fist given both were partial vampires and Endrit has proven himself a reformed citizen. Thus Aedes now currently lives with her new guardian Endrit, occasionally be checked up by child psychiatrist from time to time to check in on her progresses.
Upon attending starlight academy, Aedes quickly established herself as the school bully, constantly harassing and antagonizing fellow students to make herself feel slightly better. She also joined the Starlight academy cheer squad and had a strong rivalry with her frienemy Dalia Tor. Aedes terrible ways eventually caught up to her as she got caught blackmailing students. She was sent to the inlets for several months and is now back on the island after much rehabilitation. Given her situation, guardianship of Aedes was changed over from Endrit to Vincent Zanetti. She is currently living with Vincent Zanetti who is teaching her how to be a better person.
Resources:
Is wholly dependent on Vincent Zanetti for things like shelter and finical stability. Lives with her guardian in their apartment and a modest allowance. Her most important possession is her smartphone, her lifeline to the wonder that is social media and the internet.
Additional Information:
Carries with her a large black umbrella to help walk outside in the sunlight without fear of being sunburnt. Still wears a lot of protective sunscreen just in case however.

After a foot (0.3 meters) the proboscis tapers into a more cylindrical shape about with a 2-inches diameter and is about as strong and flexible as steel cable. This allows her great utility and is able to use this proboscis much like the tail of monkey though she can barely lift 20 pounds of material (9 kilograms).
When used offensively, the tip of the proboscis is almost as hard as diamond, giving her excellent penetration (able to penetrate several inches of tough material like dragon-scales or tank armor) when thrusting the proboscis as rapier. Alternatively, she can swing her flexible proboscis as thick bull whip, leaving behind nasty lashes on soft targets.
While the proboscis is surprisingly strong (given how frail her body otherwise is), one weakness is that its not firmly attached so one was able to get a firm grasp on this proboscis, they could potentially pull and pop out the wriggling appendage out from Aedes's mouth. This would leave her without proboscis for about 10 minutes as the proboscis doesn’t regenerate as easily as the rest of her body. When the proboscis is not in use, it coils neatly inside of her stomach.
Passive Abilities:
Bloodsucker – Can drink the blood of sentient creatures using either her fangs or her proboscis. While capable of drinking gallon of blood per minute, by some quirk of her physiology she can can’t drain a person of all their blood. Even if she wanted to, by some strange compulsion the moment she can sense that she has taken 25% of their blood her feeding immediately stops. The victim will look a bit pale and complain of weakness and shortness in breath for the rest of the day, they should be otherwise be alright and recover.
Bloodbag – Can contain 3 times her weight in blood, allowing her to contain 180 pounds (roughly 21.5 gallons) or 82 kilograms (roughly 82 liters). As this blood is contaminated with various blood types and pathogens, it’s not recommended for use in blood transfusions. In human form this blood is stored in her stomach in compressed form while in her demonic form the blood is stead stored in her abdomen.
Bloodsense – something about being a vampire, or perhaps a mosquito, makes her senses keenly tuned to detecting blood and is able to detect the scent of exposed blood from a mile awhile.
Vampiric Regeneration – Though frail, her ability to heal from physical injuries is second to none. So long as she has blood in her system, she can heal using the mass of stored blood in her system to mend equal parts lost flesh. Minor scraps and bruises heal within seconds, while more serious grievous injuries like limb loose can heal within a minute. If she however lacks the stored blood to heal the injury, said injury will continue to persist until she can secure a source of blood. If, however the injury was the result of a fire, acid, holy, or silver is unable to heal momentarily as it causes the injury to cauterize. After 1 hour such injuries will be able to heal as normal for Aedes.
Flight – In her demonic form, Aedes is capable of flight with her pair of wings and is able to sustain a comfortable 60 mph (96 kph). Her wings also emit a loud whining noise during flight that many found mildly annoying while those with more sensitive ears finding the beating of the wings loud and obnoxious.
Instinctual Knowledge – Despite being only a mere few months old, Aedes seems to instinctually “know” concepts that human child of 12 to 14 years of age would know. She is thus familiar with concepts such as math, science and even history. How she knows these things? She just does. Her instinctual knowledge also grants her an understanding of English, Latin, Demonic, and Hungarian. Lastly, her innate knowledge allows her to know the abilities and weaknesses of her other 22 siblings and mother.
Disease Immunity – Immune to almost all forms of diseases caused by bacteria and viruses.
Poison Resistance – While not wholly immune to the effects of various toxins in the world, she her partially undead nature means many of poisons are unable to kill her but will nevertheless make her feel ill.
Infectious – While immune to diseases as a whole, her body is full of all sorts of nasty viruses and bacteria. Upon drinking someone’s blood with either her fangs or proboscis there is chance the that person may contract malaria, yellow fever, dengue fever, chikungunya virus, or zika virus. Does not cause the target to acquire or contract vampirism in any form however.
Cold Resistance – Despite her insect physiology, Aedes can tolerate colder temperatures to which she credits to being partly a vampire. However, this can only go so far as temperatures below -4 Fahrenheit (-20 Celsius) will cause her to become sleepy and even force her to enter hibernation unless warmed up. The cold however, will never kill her.
Nocturnal – Is naturally adapted to the night life, able to see well in the dark. However, has trouble seeing during the daytime without sunglasses and is often finds herself somewhat tired at daytime.
Weaknesses:
Limited Lifespan – Began life with a measly lifespan of a few months but by devouring enough of her brothers and sisters she is now expecting to live for about 8 years. Hunting down her remaining siblings would allow her to add whatever their current lifespan is to her own. Killing their mother Nasci meanwhile would make them immortal… so long as none of her other brothers and sisters don’t slay her after acquiring her newly won immortality.
Blood Dependence - Requires a steady diet of at least 3 gallons (about 16.5 liters) of hemoglobin-based blood per day though she can rely on stores of her own blood stored in reserve if unable to feed for the day. If her blood reserves however run dry before she can get her daily requirement of blood she dies and turns to dust. Simple as that.
Fire Weakness – Being both a vampire and mosquito, she does not handle fire well. She readily burns under the flames as the fire interrupts her ability to regenerate the burn tissue for 1 hour after the fire has died down. The pain is so great that she will willingly sever her own limbs to prevent the spread of the fire.
Holy Weakness – Like many demons from the realms of Sin, she shares weakness to all holy. This is especially true of holy places, objects, and powers originating of the abrahamic traditions. Contact with things such as holy water or crosses inflict acid-like burns on Aedes' flesh. Stepping into holy sites like churches, synagogues, or mosques is will leave Aedes feeling as if there are worms crawling just under skin that are burrowing and eating her alive, causing her to scratch madly all around her body.
Silver Weakness – Objects made or coated in silver cause severe burns upon direct contact with her body. A painful sensation in which the contact with silver impedes with her natural regeneration on the damaged tissue for about an hour.
Sunlight Weakness – Practically roasts under direct sunlight and causes her skin to turn an embarrassing shade of pink. While she can tolerate being out in sunlight without protection, Aedes hemorrhages her blood reserves as her body uses up about a gallon of blood per minute to heal the surface damaged caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight. Upon reaching a shaded area to hide from the sun’s direct light, it will take several minutes before her pinky skin returns to is more “natural” white. While under direct sunlight Aedes is unable to heal herself.
Frail Body – Is as fragile as she looks, a playful punch can cause some gnarly bruises and her bones are about as brittle as dry twigs. While her remarkable regeneration allows to quickly recover from these injuries as easily as they came, it’s still remarkably painful to burned by holy magic or have limb pulled off. Given how weak she is, she is also barely able to lift and carry things over 40 pounds (18 kilograms) in weight.
Heart Impalement – While hardy due to her rapid regeneration, this ability to heal herself steams from her heart’s ability to pump blood to damaged tissue. Thus, impaling Aedes heart with an object like a stake or a spear is highly effective against her. If whatever object that impales Aedes is not removed writhing a few minutes she will expire, wriggling and flailing about as she gasps for breath. Objects made of silver, blessed with holy attributes, or coated in acid or flame will be the death of her even when immediately removed for the caustic damage it does to her heart hampers the regeneration of her vital heart, thus dooming her to a few mere moments of life before at last dying.
Decapitation - While her cracks about as easily as egg, Aedes is capable of surviving most forms of severe head trauma so long as part of her brain remains attached to the stem. During the time she is is regenerating her brain bits however she is will temporally immobilized for several seconds. If the damage to her brain was due to fire, acid, holy damage, or silver she will enter a coma-like state for about an hour. However, if her head separated or her brain wholly destroyed she will quickly parish and become nothing more than dust.
Water Aversion – Has an irrational fear of crossing or swimming over significant bodies of water. To the extent that she will refuse to fly over the water’s surface and instead only crossing the watery body if there is pathway such as bridge for her to cross. Aedes is also a very poor swimmer and will die if she drowning. Gets seasick while on water vessel and airsick while in an aircraft flying directly over water.
Garlic Allergy – Highly allergic to garlic. While direct contact won’t kill her, it will cause her skin to puff up and break into hives for the day. Keeps her distance from those whom smell strongly of garlic.
Reflectionless / Shadowless – Cast no reflection on reflective surfaces (mirrors, water surface, ect) which is a bit of an issue for someone so infatuated with their own beauty. They also fail to appear in photographs or videos taken with recording devices, as if she was not physically there. Her accessories like clothing, jewelry and make-up however will show up as normal. She also interestingly enough casts no shadow.

Biography:
Aedes began life as but a mere egg, a time in which she could only recall darkness and the sounds of some commotion. Aedes has the good fortune of being one of the first to hatch from the cluster of eggs, nothing more than wriggling disgusting larva thirsting for blood. And who better to offer their lifeblood than her own brothers and sisters just hatching all around her… still vulnerable as they emerged. By the time she was separated from the others, she had already drunk 8 of siblings dry, adding their lifeforce to her own. For several weeks her caretakers watched over Aedes, whom only displayed animistic intelligence, and feed her a steady diet of blood until one day the larva entered the tumbler (or pupa) stage. The next day, she emerged from her blood red husk as young albino child, appearing only 12 or 13 in age. In addition to her appearance, she appeared to have all of the mental fatalities expected of a child of her age. Staff quickly remarked that she was intelligent, she seemed rather enamored with herself. As time went one, more problematic tendencies emerged such as her penchant for lying and constant demands for attention by these assigned to look over her.
When several of her other siblings in the rooms nearby began to die to due to asphyxiation, it was assumed that their deaths were the result of the children’s inherent physiological defects. When Aedes was caught somehow in her sister’s room attempting to strangle them with a pillow late at night, she was immediately pulled off of her sister and questioned. It was then they learned of Aedes’ ability to slip into other nearby rooms via tiny cracks under the doors using her newfound ability to turn into a swarm of mosquitoes. When ask if she knew of the deaths of her siblings nearby, she only smiled and claimed that she had not heard of their demise. While there was strong speculation that Aedes was responsible for at least 3 of siblings since becoming sentient, there was a lack of evidence to prove that Aedes was directly involved with their deaths. As precaution her room refitted to prevent her from escaping again.
Since then, her caretakers noticed many psychopathic tendencies developing in this child and arranged sessions with several of her caretakers to try to build up her “cognitive empathy” with focus on rewarding Aedes for good behavior and following rules. The staff also sought parties interested in adopting Aedes, hoping that having a parental figure in her life would be a positive influence for the demonic vampire child. Eventually a dhampir by the name of Endrit Prifti offered his home to the young Aedes as foster parent. While the staff had some reservation with known criminal taking care of an already problematic child, eventually it was decided that Endrit was the best fist given both were partial vampires and Endrit has proven himself a reformed citizen. Thus Aedes now currently lives with her new guardian Endrit, occasionally be checked up by child psychiatrist from time to time to check in on her progresses.
Upon attending starlight academy, Aedes quickly established herself as the school bully, constantly harassing and antagonizing fellow students to make herself feel slightly better. She also joined the Starlight academy cheer squad and had a strong rivalry with her frienemy Dalia Tor. Aedes terrible ways eventually caught up to her as she got caught blackmailing students. She was sent to the inlets for several months and is now back on the island after much rehabilitation. Given her situation, guardianship of Aedes was changed over from Endrit to Vincent Zanetti. She is currently living with Vincent Zanetti who is teaching her how to be a better person.

Is wholly dependent on Vincent Zanetti for things like shelter and finical stability. Lives with her guardian in their apartment and a modest allowance. Her most important possession is her smartphone, her lifeline to the wonder that is social media and the internet.
Additional Information:
Carries with her a large black umbrella to help walk outside in the sunlight without fear of being sunburnt. Still wears a lot of protective sunscreen just in case however.
