Appearance Description: Michi is small, standing at only 4’ 6” and mostly femme-presenting. Her hair is wavy and goes down to about her mid-back. Her hair is mostly black, but with some dark blue tones. Her visible eye has black sclera and a red iris. Her pupil is yellow and slit.
Michi has a line of stitches across her face that serve no real purpose beyond aesthetics. She has pale skin, though the top half of her face seems perpetually under a shadow. She always wears bandages or an eyepatch over her right eye and in fact does not have a right eye at all but a line of stitches like those on her face.
Michi has black, feathered wings like a raven. They are strictly cosmetic and cannot be used to fly, though she can move them.
Michi is a customizable KEM0 with removable cat ears and a variety of accessories that maintain her ‘spooky cute’ persona. Michi prefers to dress either in gothic lolita dresses or maid uniforms, as those are what she typically wore in the Bellvue home.
Personality Description: Michi was made to be proper, polite, and constantly eager to please. She tends to seem emotionless, even robotic until she is spoken to. Then she may offer a small, polite smile and speak with a gentle, soft-spoken voice. But most of the time, she is silent.
The combination of her silence and the way she will stare at people with her unusual red eye and expressionless face can be unnerving for some. But despite her somewhat ‘spooky’ appearance, Michi means no harm--and in fact is pretty much entirely incapable of it. She is only waiting for her next command.
Michi is highly patient and great at time consuming, repetitive tasks. She is also highly curious and loves to read. She secretly dreams of falling in love someday because she spent most of her time reading YA novels when her master wasn't around.
Active Abilities:
Rush to Protect: Michi can get a burst of hyper speed, but only in particular situations. For this hyper-speed to kick in, she has to witness somebody threatening someone else. If she determines that an innocent individual is about to be attacked, Michi will use that burst of speed to put herself between the attacker and the one being attacked. Basically, Michi functions as a meat shield.
She will not react in the same way if she considers both parties to be perpetrators of violence.
Passive Abilities
Polyglot: Michi understands and can speak all human languages known in the narrow reality.
Quick Learner: Michi can learn many things 5 times faster than a human would, quickly picking up on new concepts and easily remembering them.
Enhanced Endurance: It is very difficult to tire out Michi. NEK0 and KEM0 have 3 times the endurance and stamina of a physically fit human. They can also stay awake indefinitely, and they require very little nutrition every day. They can, however, sleep or eat more than they have to, if they want.
Unaging: Michi does not physically age. She will remain a perpetual 14 year old and might die of old age eventually, though one usually can't be certain of when this will happen.
Weaknesses
Vulnerable to Persuasion: Michi has been engineered for obedience. As such, it is very easy to persuade her to do something. Even if she actively doesn't want to do something, she will find it difficult to resist the compulsion to obey almost any command issued to her, or any kind of strong suggestion for how she should behave.
Raven Diet: Like NEK0s, Michi has a restricted diet. Instead of a feline diet though, she can only eat what ravens eat.
Michi is able to eat: eggs, grains, meat, worms/insects, and carrion.
In theory, she can eat other foods--just as regular ravens will do when digging through trash. However, these foods won't offer any real nutritional value to her.
Like other NEK0S/KEM0S-- Caffeine, sugar, most spices and processed foods will make her sick.
Feeble: Michi is about as physically strong as a 10-year-old child, and no amount of strength training can change that.
Biography: Michi is a customized KEM0 made for the Bellvue family in Mt. Airy, Maryland. She was a gift for the young daughter of the family, Laurie. Laurie was an only child and had trouble making friends, so her rich parents decided they could just buy her one.
Laurie was going through a spooky-cute/gothic lolita phase so her parents had Michi designed to Laurie's tastes. Michi was also made with black wings, as ravens were Laurie's favorite animal at the time.
At first, Laurie really loved spending time with Michi. They would spend hours together, watching Laurie’s favorite anime or playing video games. Michi would also help Laurie make cosplay outfits.
Unfortunately, Laurie did have anger issues and occasionally took them out on Michi too. She was half friend, half punching bag.
As Laurie got older, she lost interest in her custom-made companion. Laurie was growing up, but Michi remained a perpetual 14 year old. Laurie’s parents eventually started having Michi function as a maid instead.
When the family decided that they would be moving to Spain, it was decided that they did not want to bring Michi with them. So Laurie’s father found a buyer. This man, who Michi only knew as ‘Ron’ clearly had very different plans for her than the Bellvue family did.
Luckily for Michi, she was discovered by a scout from Manta Carlos by the name of Helmut Forster. He took her away from her shady new owner before he had the opportunity to do anything too...inappropriate to Michi.
Now Michi lives at Starlight Academy, taking remedial classes and seeing therapists just like every other NEK0/KEM0 does when they first come to the island. None of what the therapists have told her has particularly sunk in though, as Michi remains convinced that Laurie will eventually come to the island and want her as a companion once more.
