APPEARANCE
Not that Adelyn has ever been particularly subtle of being a werewolf; while her wolf ears and tail are typically kept visible, she can make herself look like a regular human. She simply prefers to keep her ears and tail because they are cute! She likes to wear cute dresses and jewelry with moon and star imagery. Her favorite colors are navy blue and silver: the colors of the night sky.
Her ears and tail both match the gray shade of her hair, and the fur of her wolf and werewolf forms as well.
Her wolf form is not far off from her human form: thin-framed, with those same unique eyes and gray fur. It’s her werewolf form, which she rarely ever shifts into, that tend to catch people by surprise: she towers over humans at 6’ 10” and is surprisingly muscular and intimidating. She much prefers to be a cute little human-looking girl with wolf ears over that.
As she has gotten older, she has grown her hair out and now typically wears it in a ponytail.
PERSONALITY
Adelyn has proven to be extremly bright and has breezed through high school, though she is still unsure about what she wants to focus on when she moves on to college. She was clueless about so much when she first came to Manta Carlos, but she is no longer as naive.
Adelyn isn’t exactly what most people expect a werewolf to be--more like a hyper puppy than a wolf. She is a very bouncy and happy girl who loves to make friends. She’s a curious girl; sometimes too curious for her own good and has been known to get herself into trouble sometimes. Her attention span can be a problem too as she quickly bounces from one thing to another. Unfortunately, this can sometimes cause her anxiety as she gets herself involved in too many things.Adelyn’s anxiety can cause her to be a bit paranoid, which is a bit ironic considering how curious and adventurous she is. But her paranoia is more focused toward people rather than events: that people secretly don’t like her, secretly find her annoying, and won’t be honest to her about it.
But at the same time, Adelyn has a desire to meet new people and loves to entertain. Adelyn is passionate about singing and dancing, and is surprisingly gifted at both despite no real training. She is often seen wearing headphones as she commits songs to memory and practices dances--either in person or simply in her head.
It's common for people to think Adelyn isn't particularly smart due to her hyper personality--and while she does have some naivety about modern society, she's actually quite bright and has impressive memory retention. She's been known to watch a dance sequence once and have every move memorized. She loves to learn, but is also prone to getting bored easily and a bad attention span simply because she tends to learn things quicker than others.
Despite her bright and sunny disposition and anxieties, Adelyn is no pushover. She surprises people when she stands up for herself, or doesn't let herself be taken advantage of. And even in those situations, she can remain polite with a bright smile on her face. But sometimes that smile can hide a little more than it should, maybe. Adelyn is prone to suppressing her negative emotions to an almost unnatural degree. It takes a lot of trust for her to open up about anything negative going on in her life.
ACTIVE ABILITIES
Werewolf Shifter: Adelyn has the capacity to change her form between a human, a regular wolf, and a werewolf. She can allow certain wolf characteristics to show in her human form: such as ears, tail, and fangs.
She’s rather small in both her human and regular wolf forms, so she isn’t particularly strong physically. She could do some damage with her fangs if she can get a bite into someone, but she can probably be thrown off pretty easily as well. Her werewolf form, on the other hand, is quite large and stronger than the average human.
Adelyn can access her werewolf form with complete control during a full moon, but shifting at any other time comes with consequences.
Berserker: Werewolves of the Moonlight Clan typically only have the ability to shift into their werewolf forms during the full moon—but some have what is known as a ‘Berserker’ ability, where they can become a werewolf at any time, but go into a mad frenzy when they shift outside a full moon.
Adelyn is one such werewolf, much like Storm. But while Storm is a very large and physically strong werewolf, Adelyn’s form is very different. Rather than huge and muscular like Storm, Adelyn becomes very skinny and her limbs become drastically extended. What she loses in strength is made up for in her speed and agility--able to jump and sprint at a speed that makes her seem to almost disappear from one spot to another. She looks like a starving beast—reminiscent of a wolf-like wendigo.
And much like a wendigo, in this form she is in a constant state of starvation and has an uncontrollable urge to eat any living being in sight. She will only transform back into her regular self after she has either eaten 100 pounds of flesh, or is subdued long enough that her starvation temporarily ‘kills’ her wendigo form and allows her to become normal again.
PASSIVE ABILITIES
Heightened senses: Like a wolf, Adelyn has stronger senses than a human. Unfortunately, it also makes her more sensitive to loud noises and strong scents. Loud noises cause her anxiety, and strong scents can cause headaches and nausea. She can change between her wolf ears and human ears to avoid the pain of loud noises, but even in her human form she always maintains the stronger sense of smell and sight.
Speed: Adelyn can run faster than the average human in her wolf and werewolf forms. This trait does not transfer over to her human form.
Species Connection: Adelyn can communicate long distance to other werewolves with howling, just as wolves do. She also can communicate to a degree with wolves and dogs; she can’t give you an exact translation of their thoughts, but can give a general idea of their emotional state that may not be obvious to anyone else.

HISTORY
- Born and raised in a wolf clan in the Appalachia mountains.
- Storm was her mother, but had abandoned Adelyn when she killed the clan leader and ran away.
- Lived mostly as a wolf in the clan, raised by the whole clan instead of by any 'parent' figure.
- The Moonlight Clan is cult-ish in how it is run, insisting on giving each wolf certain positions and expecting everyone in the clan to behave and function in a certain way. Adelyn is deemed a 'hunter' due to her speed, and is treated considerably better than Storm was.
- Despite the clan's cult-like ways, Adelyn is an extremely curious wolf who would sneak around villages and watch humans despite it being frowned upon.
- Adelyn is compelled by watching humans, and finds herself wanting to be a part of human society.
- She ultimately decides to leave the clan and integrate with humans, even though it means she can never return to the clan again.
- Adelyn is lucky enough to meet Storm when she first steps foot in a small township. Storm immediately knows Adelyn is her daughter, but keeps it a secret.
- Storm helps Adelyn and encourages her to go to Manta Carlos. Adelyn agrees and transfers to Starlight Academy to get an education.
- Storm transfers to Starlight Academy herself a few months later.
- Adelyn makes friends easily with her bright personality and loves attending the school. She even starts dating a boy, Alain Strega, despite being clueless about dating initially.
- Adelyn continues to have a strong attachment to Storm, even though Storm has been too scared to reveal the truth of being Lyn's mother...for now.

If Lyn wished to leave the clan and integrate herself into modern society, then she would have to leave permanently. Even though her clan was all she had ever really known, she also felt stifled there. She loved her clan family, but also felt that clan life was never quite right for her. There was more potential in the outside world, and in herself, that she wished to explore. So, ultimately, she chose to leave.
When Adelyn stepped into a small town for the first time, she was lucky enough to meet a clanless werewolf just like herself by the name of Storm. Her new friend helped her learn what she could not simply from watching humans from afar, and had told her about Starlight Academy. As soon as she heard about it, Adelyn knew she that was where she wanted to be—somewhere among humans, but where she could also show her wolf traits without fear.
Storm helped Adelyn secure admission to the school, and transferred in as an eager Sophomore student ready to learn and explore new things!
