"S-Still." He said was his voice cracked like some teen going through puberty. It was crazy how hard Maylynn was trying. This was more than what he usually did for people; that was for sure. There was something about Yesterday that he wanted for himself as he glanced up at the man that had just patted his hand. "I want you to, to be safe and loved." He flushed as he spoke those words, as he would have never said that to just anyone.

Maylynn was perplexed by the statement that he didn't eat or drink, but he paid no mind. Maybe it had to do with his powers, and it wasn't his job to be nosy. He hesitantly turned his hand around and grabbed onto Yesterday's. "I-I'd really like for you to stay with me."

He didn't quite understand why Maylynn was growing so flustered about how he didn't have a place to stay. It didn't bother him, but Maylynn looked borderline distraught and he didn't get why he was so... concerned. He didn't understand the concern, though he knew the source.

"Okay." He agreed to stay, at least temporarily. He found that he liked roaming; it increased the amount he could learn at any given time, and there was more information to absorb that way. He couldn't sit around and do nothing for weeks on end. And the library. Yes, he loved the library.

"What would you like me to do, then?"

Maylynn smiled and wrapped their hands closer together. He was thankful that he didn't have to argue with this man any longer. Though, the next question made him ponder. What were they supposed to do? Was there some secret code that roommates had to follow? Certain places that they had to go? Maylynn didn't know how to properly be a good friend. "I-I'm not sure." There were tons of things that Maylynn wanted to do, like cuddling, kissing, holding each other, just being close. But he doubted that Yesterday wanted to do any of those things. "Maybe we could watch a movie?" The thought of holding hands, cuddles up against this man excited Maylynn. "Like, on my laptop."

Yesterday was already looking up literature on the subject of cohabitating. There was plenty out there, and a lot of it had the potential to be helpful. Nonetheless, he scanned it anyways and found that a lot of it was drab and had very little to do with the subject at hand. Most of it was for housewives in the fifties anyway. Last he checked, he was definitely not that.

"Well, okay." Whatever Maylynn wanted. He was the one housing him, after all. Yesterday would make a point of not being around much too often, not enough to bother him at least. Which begged the question...

"So where do I stay?"

"I-I mean." He pointed to the other bed. "You can have your own bed if you want to. No one else uses it." The thought of them sleeping in the same bed was a bit too much for him to say out loud. "But it's whatever you want, that chair is comfy too." He pointed to the desk chair that he had spent many nights sleeping in after long study sessions. "You have some options." He nodded as he adjusted himself on the bed. They were now only 2 inches away from each other. "It's whatever." He only looked to the side, as the closeness was causing him to feel light headed.

Yesterday hadn't gotten a tour of the place; he had no idea there was a second bed, but he didn't exactly need one either. Last time, Maylynn had more or less slammed the door in his face. So there was a second bedroom in here, a chair he could 'sleep' on... He didn't need those things, though. He didn't need sleep, food, water, shelter. What could he possibly get from inconveniencing Maylynn?

Nothing, but apparently the boy wanted him around.

"I will see to it." Another glance around the room, taking in their proximity.

Yesterday reached out and patted Maylynn's hand again; it seemed to comfort him somewhat. "Don't worry, I'll stay."

"Good." He gave Yesterday a shy smile before he stood up from the bed, moving the the side of Yesterday so he could get over to his laptop. "You can lay on the bed for the movie." He nodded, as the fact that he wasn't fully focused on it allowed him to be a bit more confident with what he was saying. Maylynn unplugged the laptop, and brought it over under his arm. "I think I'm in the mood for a funny movie." He didn't want something too awkward, as he didn't know what the other white haired boy's taste in movies was. He too crawled onto the bed, opening up his laptop when he got comfy. Their hips and shoulders were touching. "O-Okay." He fumbled over the keys like he had no fingers at all, before he pulled up the file of 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'. Maylynn started it, but halfway through the movie, his head fell over onto Yesterday's shoulder.

Yesterday just nodded along to everything Maylynn was saying. It wasn't like he knew much better anyways; he hadn't had much experience with movies, just books and journals, really. He'd seen a few and flipped through a couple in the library, but those were mostly educational. He just let the boy set up and waited patiently, seating himself on the bed.

He knew what 'funny' was supposed to be. He knew why certain jokes were said, or what play on words fit in where. He didn't laugh, though. He knew what funny was, but he didn't find any of it funny because it wasn't programmed into it. Of course he could laugh on que, but that would also sound horrible and fake.

Maylynn fell asleep halfway through, but he kept watching until the credits rolled and the screen went dark. He didn't want to move because he didn't want to disturb him, so instead he just sat perfectly still until the laptop went into sleep mode. In the dark room, his eyes glowed violet. His gaze was fixated on Maylynn, as if analyzing something he couldn't see in the light of day.

Had he fallen asleep? Dang, and it had been one of his favorite movies too! He felt warm though, or maybe that was just from the heat of the laptop that he felt on his legs. He was up against something, but it wasn't the wall or a pillow. Maylynn opened his eyes, blinking in the darkness of the room. This laptop was asleep, which meant that he had been sleeping for a little while; he had it so that it shut off after 45 minutes.

He noticed a glow to the side of him, an unnatural color that was making the otherwise dark room bright again. As he turned his head over, he screamed. The laptop fell on the floor with a loud clunk. In a matter of seconds, so was he. He had fallen hard, as the lights that reflected back at him wasn't something he had expected. Maylynn panted in fear, as he had not gotten a good look at what it had been. After a few seconds, he got up on his knees and peeked over the edge of the bed, staring at Yesterday with his glowing eyes. "O,Oh, sorry." Hopefully the light from his eyes was masking his redness.

He hadn't meant to scare Maylynn, but he supposed glowing eyes were traditionally thought of as belonging to night creatures that lurked and stole children. Ghosts and goblins and all those things that went bump in the night and scared humans. It certainly didn't help that he could never turn off his glow completely; his hair, though dimmed down, still gave off a dim luminescence, as did his skin that wasn't covered by clothes. His eyes continued to glow the brightest out of everything, though.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He leaned over to make sure Maylynn was alright just as he peeked over the edge of the bed. He didn't glow, but his face was illuminated by Yesterday. The light was faint blue, much like some deep sea creature or the soft glow of machinery.

"Did I frighten you? I didn't mean to."
