It was warm, and peaceful to have Yesterday so close to him. It was like some type of vivid dream, so smell every scent that was one him, to hear and feel the breathing of him. He smiled happily all the way to his room. Though, the words that rang out of his mouth were not ones he wanted to hear. He didn't really need any help, but he didn't want Yesterday to so quickly leave him, not again.

"Y-You can come inside." He uttered with little emotion in his voice, as the act of saying those words had turned his face lightly pink. "I may need help fixing my wounds, I-I mean it would go by faster with someone else." He made up the weirdest excuse he could think of in order to have Yesterday stay with him. He liked the company. "I'm usually alone so, please stay." He nodded as he detached himself from him, grabbing inside his right pocket to get his key out. In a matter of seconds it was wide open, and Maylynn was already hobbling in.

He was being invited inside? How odd, he was never invited inside. In fact, a lot of people went inside when they saw him, especially at night. His glow was a dead giveaway and when he walked down narrow streets people would close their windows and occasionally peek out at him from behind the glass.

So being invited inside was new. He made note of it.

"Ah, okay." He nodded, waiting for Maylynn to enter first before he stepped in himself. There were a few personal items here and there, and the whole place was meticulously organized. He could appreciate organization; that was his job most of the time anyway, and he glanced around to take in all the data before turning back to his host.

"You wanted me to help?" He put the books down on the desk.

Good, he didn't have to force Yesterday to come inside. The last thing he wanted was to have to grab his hand and pull him in.... Because well, wasn't that a bit too forward? Maylynn didn't want to come off as if he wanted to have him with him 24'/7, as even he would be freaked out by that. He wanted him though, more than he had ever wanted anything.

When he heard his footsteps come inside, he was happy. Now if anything did happen between them, no one would see it. It would be behind closed doors with the window shut. He turned to his drawer, pulling the first one open to grab a small first aid kit. "Yeah, help with this." He plopped his butt on the foot of his bed, before unzipping the bag and exposing it's contents for Yesterday. "It's better if you do the stuff that I can't see." His head trailed downwards, as he stared blankly at the floor. That meant his face, his crush was going to touch his face! Maylynn was doing everything he could to not pass out from excitement and horror.

He recognized the first aid kit immediately by the white box and the big red cross on the front. Humans portrayed it like that a lot and he had to wonder why; the white box got so dirty, especially in situations where first aid is often needed. The contents itself was usually just rubbing alcohol or bandages.

"Places... you can't see?" He had to tilt his head a little at that, then pointed towards the washroom where he was sure there would be a mirror. "Won't the mirror help?" He could only assume, anyways. No matter, he picked up the first aid kit and popped it open, analyzing the contents.

"There's a cut on your face. I should apply antiseptic, then bandage it. Correct?" He hadn't read much on first aid, unfortunately.

Once he had opened it; for some reason he felt safer. To know that someone else was going to be taking care of him rather than him and his flumbly habits to mess it up somehow. He took a small sigh to himself as he touched where it stinged on his face.

No. He wanted to scream that word and act out in denial when Yesterday told him about the mirror. Of course, he knew that he could just as easily get up and look into it and be done; he didn't want that. How did Yesterday not understand that he was just a guy that wanted the person he liked to take care of him? He wanted to be a little selfish.

"Y-Yes." He nodded without a second in between. Maylynn looked up with his longing eyes, wanting to get it over with because he was utterly nervous, but at the same time he wanted this moment, this closeness to someone else to last forever. "Yes please."

He made a mental note to himself to read up on first aid. Humans were awfully squishy things that got injured on a fairy regular basis. Maylynn was just an obvious sign of that, and he needed to be able to patch them up. As for himself, he couldn't quite heal like they could. No, he literally needed patching up if he ever got injured. Thankfully, he was a bit more resilient than that.

He took the antiseptic and began to dab it onto Maylynn's face... None too gently, though. He had no idea how much pressure he should be putting on it. He didn't know how it was supposed to feel, either, so he kind of just jammed it in there and hoped for the best.

This closeness was eating at his stomach. He was going to pass out from embarrassment for sure. There was something about him raising his hand up to his face, the smell of him? The look in his eyes; he wanted it all. He gulped his spit as he man inched closer to his face. This is what he was waiting for, this is what he wanted to experience.

Ow! Did Yesterday not realized it stang? Maylynn wanted to scream as loud as he could, to push his hand away with all his power; all he did was make a short wince. "O-OW." He muttered out pathetically to his friend, who was pushing too hard on his wounds. "Please be more gentle." He said as he put his hand over Yesterday's nervously, lifting it off his face. "Like a dab."

Yesterday stopped as soon as the boy yelped in pain; he understood that noise at least and drew his hand away, cocking his head to the side with some measure of curiousity. So he didn't like that? Or was he going at it with too much pressure, or...? Yesterday would definitely need to learn a lot of things, including how much strength to apply to various tasks.

"Oh, I apologize." He recalibrated and tried dabbing at his face this time, a lot softer. Perhaps too softly, but a lot better than stabbing the poor boy repeatedly in the face with a cotton ball. "What made you fall?" It looked like he'd slid on his face, or at least had a good whack to the forehead.

"Thank you." Maylynn nodded as the soothing feeling of the cotton ball made him feel safer. Now he at least wasn't going to get stabbed with that. It was nice to have Yesterdsy listen so closely to his instructions, so that it wasn't a struggle for either of them. "I am really just clumsy." Maylynn remarked with a nervous laugh. It wasn't very easily hidden behind his blush. "I just tripped over my feet, nothing more." It almost felt like a lie, but at the same time, he could have blamed it on anything and he would have most likely believed it.

He looked over to the first aid kit and stumbled around until his hand landed on a bandaid, then another, before a stack of six was in his hands. He pulled it onto his lap, in between his knees and his crotch. "This next I'd say." He only hoped that there was smaller ones.

Just clumsy? Right, right, humans didn't have an augmentation and ballast system in place. They had a very rudimentary one that they evolved with and some had better ones than others, but Yesterday's tended to be far superior because he was designed with an ever-shifting floor in mind. He was stationed on a ship, after all. It wouldn't do to have your main memory bank fall over every few seconds.

Maylynn fumbled around in the first aid kit and dropped some band-aids in his lap. He figured that was next and, out of his peripheral, he reached for them.

Perhaps reaching too far up.

He grabbed blindly at Maylynn's pants for a second before grabbing... No, that was definitely not a band-aid. Yesterday actually paused and looked down and there were a painful few seconds where he wondered what it was that he grabbed. What part of human anatomy... Oh, right.

"Whoops." As if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. He reached for the bandages. Yesterday had yet to learn embarrassment.
