At the sharp jab, the hippogriff leapt to her feet, groggily looking around - that was, until she heard the voice. Oh yeah. Her last meal was still in there alive. She grumbled lowly, "Come back when you have an apology," Before she settled back onto the ground, "It is impolite for my meal to talk back to me," she added, before settling back for some more napping.

As much as Evander's hopes had risen that he might have a chance of getting out, they were instantly brought back down as the hippogriff settled back down on top of him. A moment passed as Evander pondered his options, before poking the beast's stomach again, a little harder than the last time. Perhaps he might become such a nuisance that she'd be forced to spit him out.

"I just wanted to let you know that the longer you keep me in here, the less papers you'll have graded, and it's the week before grade reports come out, if I remember correctly." he stated, maintaining a polite tone despite his urge to do otherwise.

Melivere grumbled when the beast in her stomach woke her again. She rolled her eyes - oh shit, grading week. She hated paperwork, it was why she had requested an assistant. Grumbling to herself, the hippogriff started to move.

Soon she was in the air again; with a small bit of difficulty at first but once she had steadied herself in flight, she was perfectly fine.

A while later she was perched on the gryphon's stoop, and she inquired, "You want to apologize or shall I let you digest?" It was always a possibility that she would digest him if she kept him in there long enough. Not that she wanted too; this time, anyway.

Evander wasn't really expecting his mention of grades to work, but, sure enough, he felt the hippogriff take off into the air. He wasn't sure how long she had been flying, but when he felt the jolt of hitting the ground, he knew pretty much where they were. When she inquired about an apology, however, the gryphon just rolled his eyes.

"Oh, just spit me out already. Apology or not, I've still got to get cleaned up before I even touch those papers," he said, squirming around just a bit. At this point, he really doubted her threat of digestion, because if she really wanted to, the hippogriff would have started the moment she started napping.

Melivere made another sound, before she began to start the process of spitting the gryphon out.

It was almost the same process as when she had eaten him; feet first, head last. It took a while, and would give her a sore throat tomorrow, but she soon had deposited the gryphon in front of her, staring down at him.

"Next time I will digest you, ungrateful pup." It was a simple response, and then she was moving to leave - quite tired.
