It was dark, the perfect time for the large blue hippogriff to kidnap the gryphon who assisted her class. So, she did just that. Melivere was now dragging the gryphon through the forest.

Eventually she threw the gryphon down, digging her talons into the ground. She chirped harshly, "If you say a word of this to anyone," she paused. Her hooves hitting the ground forcefully. "I will kill you."

To make her point known, the hippogriff leaned down to bite at the gryphon's beak. If he did not move, she would most likely have his head in her mouth - she towered over the poor fellow as it were.

The blue-feathered beast released the gryphon, her beady gaze focused on it. "Do we have an understanding?" She inquired, her talons digging into the soft, trampled dirt beneath them.

She did not play games.

Evander wasn't quite how it happened or what he did wrong to be staring at the open maw of a clearly pissed off hippogriff. He had just stepped onto the stoop to his apartment, and had just inserted the key when, suddenly, the gryphon felt himself hastily hoisted into the air and tossed onto the forest floor like a sack of potatoes. His chances of watching The Quest for The Holy Grail were pretty slim at best when he had got home due to grading papers... Now it might as well be a pipe dream.

Unfortunately, the brown and black feathered gryphon could only manage a weak, nervous nod to the hippogriff's question before his face found itself pressed against the wet, warm flesh at the back of her mouth. As much as he wanted to resist, to pull his head out and flee, the larger hippogriff would probably pin him to the ground and ensure his silence through other means.

"W-why are y-you doing this...?" he asked tentatively as the larger hippogriff released his head. Even with his head free, he couldn't flee. Fear kept him planted right where he was, in front of the blue feathered hippogriff.

Melivere stared at the gryphon she had released, her talons throwing dirt as she paced. After a moment, she shifted forms - and in front of the gryphon who helped her in her class, stood a very young, very pretty female.

Her blond tresses were tousled, the dress she wore was tousled as well. She eyed the fearful creature, and spoke quietly, "You will not tell this to anyone, tell what I am." Her eyes narrowed slightly as she rocked in her place, studying the poor creature.

"You speak, you die." She stated, simply. Her voice was quiet, soft, and cold.

Evander’s eyes went wide as he watched the large, angry hippogriff in front of him change to the all too familiar face of Ms. Melivere, one of the magical arts teachers at the academy. He couldn’t comprehend the sight in front of him, and yet there she was.

“Give me one good reason I shouldn’t just tell the cops. You kidnapped me right as I got home, and now you’re threatening me with death!” the gryphon protested, his voice wavering on every word; he was afraid of the lady in front of him. The fact that she simply plucked him off of his front stoop attested to her strength in her true form. What she was threatening to do didn’t in itself scare him. It was how she might accomplish it that gnawed away at him. She had restrained from just ripping his head off, or some other horror, but his words that moment just might have waived any right to mercy he might have had.

Melivere's lips pursed, and soon she shrugged gently, "Because I'll eat you? Or maybe I'll cut you up and save you to feed to any future children I bare..." She tugged on her lower lip, fingers twining through her blond locks.

"Your choice. Your poison. Pick it." She offered up, sounding chipper and happy as she said the words, she even grinned, though it was a crooked, dark grin. "Which is it, then?"

She gazed past the gryphon, tsking lightly to herself for a moment. "Well? I have little patience."

Her voice then faltered as she murmured, "I know you saw me hunting - I couldn't have you telling anyone what you'd seen," Because hippogriffs were not found too often; in the past five-hundred years she'd not run into but two other hippogriffs; many of them had been hunted in those times though.

Perhaps there were more. There was hope, after all.

Evander only gave a bewildered look at Melivere, his beak hanging agape with shock. Was she actually enjoying this? The grin on her face seemed to confirm that fact. He wanted to fly away, far away from the one in front of him, but he knew it would be futile. She'd catch him again, and probably wouldn't give him a choice in the matter... Not that either choice presented to him at the moment was favourable over the other.

He sat there in silence, his feathers standing almost upright as he tried to formulate some thought, some answer, Nothing.

Melivere pursed her lips as she received no answer... She mused quietly, "Then I suppose I shall choose for you..." With those words - she took her true form once again; angling her head back to stare down at the gryphon before she leaned to take his head back into her mouth.

She wanted him to answer her - to agree to stay quiet - so she did not release him until she was satisfied he'd get the point. After about five minutes of this, she released the smaller being, and paced for a moment in front of him. "Do you understand?"

Evander watched as Melivere transformed back into her true form, quivering as she leaned close to him. For five minutes, he lay silent, frightened that she might, at any point, decide to keep going. When the larger beast finally released his head from her mouth, he only looked down at the ground. When she asked for the second time of he understood her, the brown feathered gryphon nodded in confirmation. Now please just let me leave.... he thought.

Melivere stared at the other beast, her beady eyes flickering across the gryphon's form. Soon she leaned down to bite roughly at the side of his neck, before standing to her full height. "Shall I return you to your home?" She inquired - she'd let him go now, if he wished it. But she did mena her threat.

Evander was surprised when the larger beast stooped down to pick him up. He wasn't used to it, and while certainly eager to go home, he wanted to have nothing to do with Melivere at the moment.

"Put me down, you bedswerving bespawler! I can get home just fine without a damned fusty-lug like you carrying me home like I'm some baby!" He shouted, squirming as much as he could with Melivere's beak holding his neck.
