Findabhair wasn't usually a simple thief. A prankster, a trickster, a mischevious acrobat, yes, even one who occasionally summoned money to herself that probably did belong to somebody, but not just an average, ordinary cutpurse. Not because the half-leprechaun had any problems with stealing itself (as long as it wasn't from her), but because she found that it generally lacked style. This loud, large fool, though, was making her reconsider.

A typical drunkard, he seemed to have mistaken her for a child but was being overly creepy about it. She had seen him earlier throwing money around and generally being obnoxious. And now he had started following her, calling her a sweet little thing. With how drunkenly annoying or annoyingly drunk this guy was, she felt she barely needed any trickery and that he didn't deserve much flash at any rate.

The way he was half-holding out his wallet, flashing it at her, it was incredibly tempting. Plus the man was being a disgusting pig. Trying to sweet talk her in a way that made it clear he still thought she was a child. "I'll give you a dollar for a kiss, sweetheart." The buffoon was cheap too. Who did he think she was?

Finn put on a bit of a pout for the man, one hand on her hip, a gold coin flashing through the fingers of her other hand. "Now why would I want just a dollar when I have this?" She held her hand out palm up, almost daring him to take the coin. Then when his gaze was on her money, she pulled a dollar bill out of her pocket with the hand that had been on her hip and tossed in the air slightly, hoping her powers would produce something useful.

For once, she was not disappointed. There was a bright flash and a bang like a fire-cracker going off just above her hand. Not dangerous, but enough of a startlement that she was able to grab the half-stunned man's wallet out of his hand and make a run for it.

Unfortunately, the little woman didn't make it far. She was a decent runner, but she still had short legs and usually got out of situations like these by climbing more than sprinting. Except there was nothing climbable within her reach, and the angry giant chasing her had ridiculously long legs. She turned back to see how close he was getting - if it was just money, he wouldn't be able to snatch it from her, but it was in a wallet that wasn't even hers, and he could certainly beat her up if he wanted to. Then suddenly she ran into another tall person. Most people were taller than her, but at the moment it was really annoying. At least this guy was cuter than the drunk idiot following her, but that didn't stop Finn from glaring up at him for being in her way.

Travis would have said he had no idea what made him go out and just wander the town today, but the real reason was simply that he was bored. He had been shut in for a bit too long and needed to get out and about. See the sites, try the local cafes, have far too much coffee and the like! So that was exactly what he had done, and he was not upset with the results.

The island may have been small but they had a lot of different shops and the like here, enough that one could possibly find anything and everything one searched for. All in all he was having a wonderful day, so of course that meant that the universe had seen fit to ruin it.

Half way through his third coffee for the day the unexpected happen, and by that he meant that some fool hearty person was running around like a crazy person. This also meant that they weren't paying attention to WHERE they were running and of course ran right into him, causing him to drop his coffee.

Not only that this person, this young girl, had the nerve to glare at him like it was his fault! This of course got the sarcasm flowing.

"I am sssoooo sorry I got in your way kid! Don't mind me I will just get out of your way!" he said, trying not to sound too unkind. "Why were you running around like a mad woman anyway?"

Before either could speak again there was a loud shout as a rather large drunken idiot seemed to be charging at them shouting about something being stolen. Looking down he saw the wallet in her hand and quickly snatched it from her.

"Stealing? Really?" He asked her, shaking his head. "What would your parents think about this, child?"

Finn was not amused. She was well aware that she was short, but she still looked like a woman. It wasn't her fault everyone else was a bloody giant. She bet her dad hadn't had this problem - he probably could grow a beard though, and she was not a man.

When the guy snatched the wallet, she just blinked up at him for a moment, surprised that he was able to take it from her. It made sense, though, since it wasn't hers and she supposed that grabbing the wallet didn't count as stealing money from her.

Still, he was in her way, and she didn't really care about keeping the drunk's wallet anyway. Findabhair just didn't want this stranger to stay under the impression that she was a kid. Placing her hands on her hips, she glared up at him again. "Well, my parents are back in Ireland, and I don't know what they would say. I'm a grown woman you bloody giant. Now keep that thing or give it back, but the drunken idiot over there isn't after me to give me a hug. So - excuse me if I don't stay to chat."

That said, Finn side-stepped and walked around him. Maybe he'd be a bit of a distraction. And then not wanting someone to think she was a common thief, she added. "And just so you know - stealing is not my style. Let's just say the buffoon deserved it."

As she called back, the half-leprechaun noticed that the large angry man had almost caught up. She didn't see herself being able to get away by straight out running, so she decided to make use of her lack of height and duck behind the one who had gotten in her way.

"Be a sweetheart and - cover for me!"

Well, she certainly had an attitude on her! Not that it was that off putting to Travis of course! And then again, when she mentioned that she was indeed a grown woman he couldn't help but notice the curves that had previously been ignored.

As she was about to storm off he was going to make one smart ass comment or another but then this new found friend had changed her mind and decided to use him as a meat shield to deflect the wrath of the unknown drunk! Sighing he held his hands behind his back as the man approached. Visible to only those behind him, meaning mostly Fin as this point, there was a flash of multicoloured light in his hand as an exact duplicate of the wallet appeared in it, and then with two more flashes of light it was full.

It was at this point that the drunkard had caught up and looked like he was about to tear something or someone apart.

"Why you little," the man began before Travis cut him off.

"I know, I know!" He started, "My little sister is a handful! I apologise for her behaviour sir! Trust me, she will be in a whole heap of trouble when our parents find out about this! For now though please, accept back that which was taken!"

With that Travis handed over the duplicate wallet to the man and gave his most charming smile, hoping that combined with the man's intoxication it would sell the ruse. He and the girl looked nothing alike after all!

"I don't know." The man said, as he reached for the wallet.

"Trust me sir, the moment we get home our father will make sure she will be unable to sit down for a week!" He winked at the man who then took the wallet and muttered as he walked off.

Turning around Travis faced Fin and laughed a bit, holding out the real wallet.

"Well that should fool him at least till he goes to order another drink!" All of a sudden there was a burst of yelling as Travis looked over his shoulder to see the man once again charging at them. "Good drinker that one!"

Grabbing the girl's hand he winked at her as he tossed the real wallet over his shoulder.

"RUN!" It was all he shouted before he took off laughing, potentially dragging his new friend with him.

Finn laughed when she saw what Travis did - both because it was a great prank and also because his powers seemed to match her own. Of course, hers were much more finicky and cost money, but this bloody annoying giant would probably be more fun than he'd looked at first.

She wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry at being called his little sister, even if he was just covering for her. But she was a big fan of keeping her skin intact, so she went along with it. Burying her face in his back to prevent the drunk from getting another good look at her. It wasn't entirely unpleasant. So she just huddled behind him trying to look small and cute without showing her face. Hopefully, the drunk guy would think she was scared or would realize how much trouble she could get him in, since he still seemed to think she was a young girl, and he had tried to kiss her.

When the helpful guy turned around Findabhair grinned back in relief. "Maybe I'm lucky you ran into me, then. What's your na-ah!" The shouting caught her attention and when he grabbed her hand, she was too caught off guard to do anything but run along with him.

"I hope you got something out of this - that cheap creep wanted me to kiss him for a dollar!" She tried her best to keep up, but even holding hands, running was not her strong suit. "Curse your long legs - I'm not made for running. Got any better ideas? I can climb - something - there are not many places here for that, though. Or -" she pointed to a nearby bar, "I'm pretty sure he's been kicked out of that one already."

He heard her protests so Travis ducked into the bar, taking her with him and had them seated at a table far enough away from the door. He didn't say anything while he watched the entrance, waiting for the eventual show, and it did not disappoint. The drunk tried to enter and of course got in a fight as he had previously been ejected so this lead to him being thrown out again. This time it was a literal thing though and Travis laughed as the man's ass bounced off the pavement.

"That was exactly what I needed today." he turned to his companion and remembered a question previously asked and winked at her. "Well, I did end up getting the pleasure of your company as well as the fact we held hands. I didn't even have to pay the dollar as well!"

He looked over the menu, as if they had meant to come in here to just have a meal or something.

"The name is Travis, Travis Thereault Tremblay." He bowed his head slightly. "At your service. Can I interest you in some lunch, or is it late enough to be dinner now?"
