Who Am I?

Claudia hummed to herself, skipping up the old, dusty, stone steps to the roof. A yellow bow was in her hair, and she was dressed in black, as usual. It was odd that such a happy and innocent child was wearing black, of all colors. It was her favorite color, though, so she enjoyed wearing it. The girl opened the door and looked around.

"Wow, this place has a great view!" she said to herself, blinking. She noticed someone else there, a boy, and decided it was time to make some friends. She skipped over to him and plopped down next to him.

"Hello!" she greeted with a smile.

Claudia's smile widened when he introduced himself. "I'm Claudia," she said, still smiling. "I just got here. Have you been at this school very long, Jacob?" She asked. She had more questions, but she refrained from asking him. She didn't want to be annoying, and besides, if she asked all of her questions now, she wouldn't have any questions for later.

That smile was still on her face, glad that she had met someone so nice to talk to. "I'm twelve," Claudia said. "How old are you? And what are your powers?" Another question. She couldn't help it, she liked to know about people. She couldn't help the fact that she was always curious, now could she?

Cool! He was the same age! Claudia nodded when he told her his powers, and looked around for something she could demonstrate hers with, but there wasn't any dirt up here, nor were there any rocks. "I'm an earth elementalist," she said. "What's being able to move things with your mind like?" she asked.

Claudia nodded at his answer, then thought for a while for hers. "Well.... I pretty much control dirt and rocks, really," she said with a brief nod to emphasize her point. "So - " She blinked. She had forgotten what she was about to say. "Nevermind. Sorry. I forgot what I was going to say."
