Erasthai was not pleased with this idea. He didn't want to have a roommate, he didn't want to be in a room with a stranger, he didn't want a stranger in the only place where he could take his glasses off and be okay. But his mother had insisted on it, saying he had to bear with a challenge like that so he could have more motivation to control his powers. As if stalkers were not motivation enough.

It was a little odd how he moved in during summer, but his mother also said it was best to familiarize himself with the place first. So there he was, right in front of the dorm room he was assigned to. He was standing there nervously, for a few minutes now, wondering what his roommate would be like, and if he'll be able to live with him. He breathed in slowly, and out, before fumbling on his glasses just to make sure they were on. Good. They were on. No trouble then.

After what seemed like forever, Erasthai finally struck the door with his right fist, his knuckles, but only very softly, just enough to be heard inside. For one moment, he made sure again that he looked presentable at the very least, even though he did hope his roommate wouldn't find him attractive. He wore a sky-blue low v-neck shirt and a black cardigan over it. Prussian Blue denim pants, and sneakers. He fumbled on his clothes for a moment. And then sighed. He was probably too on edge. But he can't help it.

==> June

"Hm hm~"

June had a hum in his system that he couldn't get out. Earlier that week he received a note that he was going to have a roommate soon and he was particularly happy that he was going to have a new playmate. Not that he was planning to do anything bad to them, of course! Whoever it was going to be, they'll have to be stuck with June for a while and he'd rather they have a decent relationship with them. And by decent, it was more of being able to be civil without him pulling his tricks. June at least had some amount of respect to not go that far.

As he was humming his way back to his room, from afar he found a stranger standing in front of the door. A smile crept up his face. He could make a guess this was his new roomie. He looked pretty nervous it was almost cute. Actually, no, even from the side, he was kind of a pretty boy type.

June continued his way to him. Standing behind Erasthai, he greeted, "You know, no one's inside. I just got back from town," he said jokingly.

Erasthai flinched. But the way he turned around, slowly, and the curious yet indifferent-looking stare he gave, made him look like he didn't just lose his cool being surprised like that.

He took note of, what he assumed, his roommate. The guy was shorter and more slender than him, and if they weren't in this context, he'd probably think the guy was a girl. A good looking one.

Why, one thing Erasthai could think of now was that this might be troublesome. If he's caught without his glasses.

"How fortunate that you came back with perfect timing then," he said, giving him a smile. He didn't want his newfound worry to show on his face. He stepped to the side, making way so his roommate could come in first. He didn't exactly have a key for himself just yet either.

June gave him a smile matched with a flutter of his eyes. (This was more or less an unconscious habit for him by now.) "I tend to have pretty good timing, you see," he said stepping forward to the door. He'd already had his key out of his pocket so he didn't take too much time unlocking the door for the both of them, "But I do feel guilty that I had to greet you from out here. I didn't expect you'd be here this soon,"

June opened the door and casually walked in first. The room wasn't particularly large but it was comfortably wide enough for two people. One side of the room was cleared and tidied up --obvious that there was no occupant. June's side was just as neat and orderly but he had some papers and a few books lying on the bed, some of which were left open to some cross-sectional illustrations.

"Sorry about the mess, I was reviewing a bit and decided to take a stroll, he said as he let himself drop on his own bed with a soft thump on the cushion. "The name's June, by the way. You?"

"It's okay, my arrival was really a bit sudden. You couldn't have expected it, well, unless you have premonition." Erasthai chuckled lightheartedly as he followed this gorgeous person into their room, grabbing his bags with both hands.

And then he looked around, glancing at the fuller side of the room first. He smiled. It was really organized, despite the pile of papers, and he appreciated that because then he wouldn't have to worry about the room always being in disarray. And then he turned to the empty side of the room. His side of the room. There was a closet and an empty bed, and a small bedside drawer. That's all he needed, really. He walked towards his side and put down his bags against the wall, before sitting down on the bed with a long sigh.

"I haven't realized I was so tired..." he muttered. He smiled at June who was sitting on his own bed, face-to-face with him, repeating the name in his head a couple of times. "Honestly, I think the room's really neat, and nice. Name's Erasthai. But people call me Eros. Since it's shorter and... well... stuff."

If June wasn't going to ask, he wasn't going to talk about his whole "Eros" problem. About his glasses. That last one, though, made him worry more. He can't sleep not taking off his glasses. That would mean he'd always have to sleep later than June, and wake up earlier. Because he can't afford being caught without it. The fact that June was hot wasn't going to help.

"Ah, by the way," he snapped himself out, clapping his hands together. "Do we have rules here? I mean, between the two of us. I'm the newcomer, and I'm okay if you have rules for us."

June let out a soft chuckle as he pulled one book to his lap, looking over the page for a while, "'Stuff' is a pretty vague word, you know. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason you got that name is because you were quite a heartthrob," he joked. It wasn't purely one; Erasthai was undoubtedly attractive and if he really tried, well--everyone would be all over him.

After a glance at the page of his book, he his gaze scanned the room. Well, it wasn't that much of a mess but the clutter of review materials was making it less neat for June. "The room is usually clearer without these books but I try to keep up with school every once in a while." More like almost every afternoon. He turned the page of his book before looking up at Eros again.

He hummed in thought for a moment, "I haven't exactly figured that bit out myself," he said thoughtfully, "One: you'll have to keep the room clear too; I have to warn you I might be... a bit too organized." "Too organized" wouldn't cover it. "If either of us stays out too long, it'll probably better that we'd inform each other in case someone asks; I don't like being held responsible."

June paused to think, resting his chin on his hand, his eyes turning to the window for. A suggestive smile appeared on his face as he turned to look at Eros, "If at some... instances you'd want the room all to yourself, I'll be glad to give you privacy and leave you alone." It was a joke for the most part; for June, he'd probably stop 'inviting' people now that he has to share his room.

Eros laughed awkwardly. He wasn't sure June meant that guess about his nickname, but his uneasiness showed when he shakily fixed his glasses on his nose. "Perhaps... Not really a good thing though."

He nodded at the rules, satisfied with all of it... except the last one. He wasn't exactly dissatisfied, more like he was bothered. "I... I don't do stuff like that, no worries," he said, looking away and touching his glasses again nervously. He meant it, whether his roommate was joking, teasing, or saying something more innocent. "Same goes for you. I can always hang out in the lounge... I think."

No, not really.

June looked at Eros curiously because of his response. Why wouldn't it be a good thing? For June, that would have made things easier for him. He had to consciouly guide people to pour their attention on him. But maybe, because he had freedom to place whatever idea he wanted on the person, it was simply the advantage of having hypnosis.

Still, June brushed it off. "To each their own," he said with a smile on his face. He wouldn't judge him. To be fair, June might have been already taking advantage of his own ability when he should have much more important things to do.

"I... I don't do stuff like that, no worries. Same goes for you. I can always hang out in the lounge... I think."

June tried to stifle a laugh. He wasn't really sure if Eros took it the wrong way or he actually did but that almost did make him laugh. Either way, he'd rather not delve into that sort of conversation this early. "I was joking. I'd rather have a rule about that here too if that makes you comfortable," he said honestly.

He was looking at Eros the entire time. His eyes almost transfixed at the other male with curiosity. June also noticed that for whole while they've been talking, Eros had been fiddling with his glasses one too many times. "You know, I think the more you play with you glasses, the more likely you'd lose them."

Eros flinched. Was he really playing with his glasses that much? "Sorry," a word casually came out of his lips as he absentmindedly removed his glasses and wiped them with the end of his shirt.

He wasn't minding the awkward joke anymore, he was just... feeling so tired all of a sudden. "I think I'll take a nap. Sorry, June. Travelling drained my energy I think."

He opened his largest traveling bag and brought out two pillows. Thankfully his bed already had a mattress and a linen, and he didn't have to set it up before getting some rest. He fixed the pillows where they should be and plopped down on his back, heaving another long sigh.

June found himself not even looking away from Eros. What was it about him that made June so transfixed on him? He was gorgeous, he wouldn't deny that. It was a fact set in stone but something tugged at the back of his mind that didn't want him to look away. And something there also felt a little dejected when Eros somewhat brushed him of.

"I think I'll take a nap. Sorry, June. Travelling drained my energy I think."

"Probably not the only thing draining your energy soon," he said, almost sounding predatory. June was shocked at himself that that actually slipped out of his mouth. Shit, that wasn't supposed to come out. June cleared his throat and turned back his attention to his book, trying to redirect his attention to his study. But no, his mind was swimming with carnal ideas that wouldn't let him focus. Just wonderful, he couldn't stop thinking about.

And this morning, he told himself he was going to be civil with his new roommate. What was wrong with him?
