What would a paint fight hurt anyway?

Faye stopped watching Orion for a few minutes letting him work in peace. It was a different experience having someone paint on you. Faye couldn't say that it was weird, because she found it quite interesting if she was going to be honest with herself.

She hadn't been paying attention as to what he was painting for a few minutes, as far as she could tell he was painting the lines he was earlier, just in new places now. She smiled when he mentioned that he would sign it.

"Great idea! Sign away!"

As Orion was finishing, Faye noticed just how close he was. She hadn't really given it a lot of thought. She looked up and gave a small smile, and bit her lip slightly, then looked down hoping he didn't notice. She liked the fact she could trust him this close, with her in only a tank top that was slightly wet. Then, Orion took a step back and asked what she thought, she realized she hadn't looked down at her tank top in a while. He completely transformed it.

The picture made her face drop in awe and amazement, it was a skeleton. What a cool idea. "Wow this is a keeper for sure, you've got some real talent Orion." Faye smiled brightly at him.

Orion could have played the humble card like he had been so far. But this time he was actually very proud of his work on Faye's shirt. Maybe it was because he had two canvases worth of practice or it was his signature on it, but he felt like it was a particularly special piece. Still, he kept his ego in check and tried to keep some humor about it.

He puffed his chest out a little and put his hands on his hips, playing the part of the smug artist.

"Well, uh, you shouldn't have expected any less from me at this point, Faye. I think I'm winning Art right now. I'll just take your shirt to the nearest museum for my trophy."

Stepping right up to her again, he pinched the shoulders of her tank top and held it up slightly, spreading the shirt so that the paintings could be seen more easily.

"Ah yeah. I get the Mona Lisa for winning, right?"

By that point, he was pushing his joke a bit too much for himself and he started snickering. He let go of her shoulder straps but kept his hands on her arms. The cute lip bite had not been well hidden and Orion had seen the momentary flirty look. It looked cute on her.

"Now I'd offer myself as a canvas in return, so you could, y'know, try your own hand at a masterpiece, but..."

He looked down between them at himself. He was covered in paint from head to toe. Not even his pants were really worthy of being a canvas. The light soaking Faye's tank top had received was okay, but his pants were a thick mess. Unless she wanted him to take off those, then there were no options left.

"Hm. Any ideas?"

She quietly laughed at the sight of Orion puffing his chest out. He was quite a site. Paint was from his head to his toes. He began to add some comments that made her giggling start again, but bit her cheek to stop herself.

"Well, your prize could be anything I guess. I'd give you my tank top, but..Then well.. all that's left is well..."

Her talking faltered as he came close again and lifted the straps to her tank top, her breathing stopped a minute. She could tell the effect he had on her, was different than the effect she had on him. She forced herself to breath evenly again, and bit the inside of her lip. Stop, she told herself.

Faye's face broke into a smile that reached her blue eyes when Orion's joke made himself start to laugh. Faye watched as he let go of her tank top straps, but his hands didn't go far, they slid down to her arms, causing her to suck her breath in again.

He began to say he'd offer himself as a canvas, but his face looked down to show that his chest had already been claimed by the paint for today. He asked if she had any ideas, and of course she was sort of clueless. She had already hugged him from behind with all the paint on her. She realized there were only a few places that weren't covered in paint, but wasn't sure if she should mention that.

"Well there's your legs, but that means you'd have to go pantless. ..." She gave a light smile, and bit her lip again. Maybe she shouldn't have said that...?

Orion had not meant for his offer to be a test for Faye, but it had answered a question nonetheless. He had merely offered to return the favor and be Faye's human canvas. Taking off his pants had only just barely been implied, if at all, in his offer. So when her mind went there, and when she nibbled on her own lip again, Orion was immediately made aware of Faye's own latent thoughts and feelings. If he was totally honest, he found it all quite attractive.

He had thought that maybe he could have played the fool a few moments longer. Perhaps he could have acted like he had never considered using his legs or whatnot. But Faye was straightforward, and there was no escaping her suggestion.

For a moment, he was quiet. His eyes looked away for a moment, betraying the fact that he was kind of getting what Faye was talking about. His hands ran up and down her arms once before he stepped back and put on a smaller, slightly nervous smile.

"That sounds l-like a grand idea! Lemme just..."

Sticking with his goofball persona, he immediately started undoing his belt and pants right there in front of her. He was just about ready to draw it downward, exposing a little bit of the simple grey underwear he wore, before he stopped and looked back at Faye.

"A-Are you sure? I mean, I'd love to be your canvas as you were mine... But only if you're okay with it."

Going through her backpack, about to leave realizes she forgot her talented friend's sketch book in the art room. She runs back through the halls, by the time she reached the art room she was completely out of breath and walked over to the water fountain to get a drink of water, but then realized what time it was and started to freak out again. As she entered the art room, not realizing the two painting each other she said

"Excuse the intrusion"

As she entered and grabbed her note book still not noticing the two other people in the room, she turned around now facing one of her classmates, with a now painted tank top and a boy she didn't know undoing his belt.

"i..i'm S.sorry"

She said as she ran out of the room with a bright red face, pounding heart and heavy breath.

Faye noticed that it seemed she caught Orion off guard a bit when she said she could paint his legs. Goose bumps ran up and down her arms as he rubbed her arms once more before backing away, with a nervous smile on his face. Was he really considering it? She really liked that smile. She stopped herself from biting her lip again. She was an open book and making everything way too obvious.

He began to undo his belt which made Faye's face turn many shades of red. She looked away, and then looked back to him.

"No go ahea-"

Her sentence was interupted by a girl who came into the room, Faye noticed as the girl's face turned red and ran out of the room. Oh no, Faye thought. From the girl's perspective she must have thought something completely different than what was really going on. They would have a wonderful time explaining this one.

Faye turned back to Orion, with a questionable look, ''What should we do?"

There it was. The literal "go ahead". Orion had not been wrong about Faye's intentions, which were only growing more obvious and bold by the moment. The blush on her cheeks, the nibbling of her lips, the way she furtively tried to avert eyes while still being drawn to his hands on his belt. For a few moments, the two of them were on the same wavelength and the room felt like it was being flooded by hormones and youthful want.

Orion said nothing. He needn't have. He simply nodded and a glint of mischievousness flashed through his eyes as he started lowering the waist of his pants, slowly and without breaking eye contact with Faye. It was a scintillating moment full of knowing looks and mysterious motives, where pressure built and built and there seemed to be no stoppi--

"Excuse the intrusion"

Turns out there was[i/] some stopping the moment. How foolish the two young artists were to try and turn up the heat in a room without a locked door, in a relatively public place where other students could come and go. They were still in school in an art room. They had only been lucky the intrusion had not occurred earlier.

Orion was just as frozen as the poor girl that had just happened on him and Faye. He may have been rather loose in terms of exposing himself and managing what people thought of him, but even he could feel a little bit of embarrassment from being walked-in-on.

He wanted to say something, but nothing came out. The girl ran out before he could say anything and Faye was right on top of the situation.

"W-We go after her and try and explain things!"

Tugging his pants back up, Orion ran after the girl. Using one hand to hold his pants up and covered from head to toe in paint, he must have been a considerably strange sight to see running through the hall. It was only fortunate that most of the paint had dried, or was drying, so paint was not going everything.

"Wait up! Wait up! It's not what you think! It's-It's-It's ART! It's ART! Anatomy and stuff! AAARRRT!"

Rose ran to the gym subconsciously after interrupting something that in reality wasn't as bad as it seemed, but in her mind what else could you see. As she ran into the gym she looked around at first not knowing where she was but then went over to the bleachers and laid down. She had a major headache from all the commotion. She pulled her headphones and her phone and played music as she laid there silently.

Faye noticed Orion was still frozen before he gave much thought to responding. He mentioned they needed to go after her. And with that, out the door he went trying to keep his pants up. It was hilarous, but there was no time to life. She had to go after them too, so she could help explain. She could only imagine what that girl was thinking.

But Faye had felt a bit of disappointment deep down. She pushed the thought to the side and kept running after, she heard Orion shouting after the girl.

Where in the world did she go?

She saw people staring at her as she went on. She even almost lost track of Orion. But eventually she saw the paint on him, and continued following him. Where was he going? Faye continued on the wild goose chase and hoped it would end soon. She also began to wonder if the girl would even believe them. She'd have to, wouldn't she?

Orion nearly lost the girl, and Faye. Turning corners with slippery, painted shoes was proving more difficult than he had anticipated. He would skid and slide on sharp turns. On one particular turn he had slid straight into a wall, leaving an Orion-shaped imprint of paint on it. It looked nice to him, but he suspected someone was going to have to clean it up anyway.

"Faye! This way!"

He waved Faye over just as he spotted the girl slip into the gym, for some reason. Hoping Faye would follow, and also back him up on whatever excuse he gave, he ran into the gym and started looking around.

"Ah ha. There you are."

The girl had taken a place on the bleachers and Orion made a bee line for her, holding up his pants with one hand the whole way.

"Hey. Hey! You nearly lost me there.

Um, I'm Orion and I wanted to make sure that there was no confusion going on here. You see, Faye and I--Faye is the other girl--were doing an art project. You can kinda tell by all the paint I'm covered in.

Now I know what it looked like! But lets be clear: that was for art. Just art. That's all it was for.."

He turned to Faye and gave her a not-so-subtle wink.
