"Do you honestly think your just special or something?"

She rolled her eyes upon seeing him smirk. She hated it when other people smirked at her... and yet, for her, smirking at everything was like second nature. Odd, but still true. "Did you not here the sarcasm in my voice?" she asked him.

She shuddered at the idea of a body being burned. Since she was a vampire, fire was a big weakness... that, too much sunlight, and some other things. "Burning a body? Well, I'm sure that's a beautiful sight..." she said, again being sarcastic. "Beautiful indeed. But, I must ask, if I didn't want to die, why are you still here? I thought you only came over here because you thought you could grant a supposed death wish."

His smirk fades a little in thought, "Well, I suppose it's because gender confused vampires interest me, who really knows? You just seem slightly nice for a vampire..I mean, shouldn't you be trying to suck my blood and turn me into a vampire and yadda yadda by now or something. Not that it would really cause me any pain, but still, it's interesting to me.." He shrugs a little at her, his smirk returning, "Besides, your wonderful attempts at sarcasm make me laugh.." He starts to chuckle.

A smirk of her own almost came to her when his began to fade, but she kept a straight face instead. It wouldn't make any sense for her to not want him smirking and then do the same exact thing herself. She sighed inwardly... apparently 'gender confused vampire' was going to be her title from now on, if 'title' was even the right word for it.

"... You just seem slightly nice for a vampire..I mean, shouldn't you be trying to suck my blood and turn me into a vampire and yadda yadda by now or something..."

The woman sighed outwardly this time. "Not all vampires are that blood-thirsty that they go after everyone, you know," she said. "I happen to be one of those vampires. Besides, I'm careful about who I make into a vampire. I don't just change anyone..." She shook her head. "Perhaps you should realize that just like humans have different personalities, we do too."

Her eyes narrowed when he insulted her sarcasm and started laughing. "Laugh all you want, go ahead, act like it actually bothers me," she said. She really didn't care at all what he said.

Axel shakes his head, "Personalities? You're all dead, what does it matter if you have different personalities? You have no true feeling in your body, I could stab you through the heart right now and it would accomplish nothing. You're dead to the world, as I am. The only difference is that you still have emotions other than anger, I don't..people don't care about you and I and our personalities..we're freaks..so why be kind to them? I'd personally rather kill them mercilessly and be done with it, but the wouldn't go over well.." He shakes his head in annoyance and spits into the water in disgust, "Say what you want about it, were alike you and I, we hate the world and those in it.."

"... You have no true feeling in your body, I could stab you through the heart right now and it would accomplish nothing..."

Cordelia sighed. "And how would you know that? You're not a vampire," she said. She could feel pain, both emotionally and physically, although she could honestly say she didn't know what being stabbed through the heart was like. It was the complete truth that she didn't know if she could die from that or not, but she didn't plan on finding out anytime soon.

She said nothing when he said she was dead to the world. He was right about that, and there was no reason for her to argue with the truth. She swallowed when he said that no one cared for her or him, knowing... or, more like hoping, that it wasn't true. People had cared about her when she was human, she knew it... but now? Sure, she had a little brother that had tried to help her, and she had Jira who had said he needed her... but that didn't mean they cared.

She didn't like this, and she didn't like thinking about it. She stood up, but not with the intention of leaving. She just didn't exactly feel comfortable sitting down anymore. "We may be alike...." she began, looking down at him, "but we're definitely not the same. You may want to kill people without a second thought, but I have more of a mind and a sense of guilt than that." The widowed vampire shook her head. "I may hate the world and everyone in it, but that doesn't mean I go around murdering." She sighed. "So, why do you hate the world, kid?"

Axel chuckles, "For the same reason I have no emotions. When I was a young child, a man broke into my house and killed my entire family, even our pets. Then he left me there alive because he wanted me to suffer, just out of the cruelness of his heart. I suppose he was an old employee of my father or something, I'm not really sure. A year ago I hunted him down and killed him, then his body was never found. I don't go around killing people willy nilly either..I do it only for those in pain, those who want to be alone and leave the world because of a problem in their past. I give them a way out and I kill them.." He shrugs and looks away, knowing exactly what the woman was going to say about that last part, but not particularly caring.

An eyebrow raised somewhat when he started spilling his story. And he was doing that... why? She listened, though. It seemed like the same story with everyone here... their family had died somehow, or at least something tragic had happened to them, which either left them depressed or bitter or along those lines. In her case, she had gone bitter. "Well, sorry that happened to you," she said. Even if it wasn't her fault or she couldn't change it, she supposed an apology was still in order. "I lost my family too." And that was all she was saying of her past. Nothing else was going to be revealed, she would make sure of that.

She listened to the last part of what he said. Alright, well, at least he didn't go crazy and kill without reason, she supposed. Even though she did object to it in some ways. "And you didn't give a thought to try and help them out?" she asked. Cordelia then shook her head. "Nevermind. You said you don't feel emotions, so I guess that's your way of doing things." She shrugged her shoulders.

Axel chuckles, "Now you're catching on Lady, you see..you think of me as a murderer, however I find from reading legends, I tend to behave more like the Grim Reaper.." He sits up and then smoothly arises to his feet, "Once you have no emotions, like caring and sorrow, your mind tends to think more clearly. As in my situation, I just figured these people no longer want to be here, why is it my place to change their minds? Besides, people come, people go..death happens daily..speeding up the process as a way to heal is something I'm amazed nobody else had thought of.."

Cordelia listened to what he said, and watched as he stood up, noticing that they were about the same height. Not like that mattered, really, she just found it amusing. An eyebrow raised somewhat when he said he acted more like the Grim Reaper, finding it odd how he would compare himself to something like that. She still didn't like his thinking, no matter how he explained it. "And if it isn't your place to help them, how is it your place to release them?" she asked. "And why would you want to cause someone else the same pain someone caused you just so you can heal?"

She shook her head. No matter what he thought, she believed he was just doing the same thing that the man who had killed his family had done. Causing others pain so that he could heal was selfish in her opinion.

Axel just shrugs, "Your opinion is that of your own, however clouded with emotions it may be..Now then, the reason it's my place to release them is because nobody else will. It's my belief a person's death can be one of their choosing..it's not like I walk up to them and kill them. I make sure it's what they truly want, and as far as anybody else knows, they just disappear. Whatever pain I cause them is minimal in the least, nobody hears about their death in the news, and as far as they know the person just ran away.."
