Cordelia dodged again, and smirked. She had figured out the pattern, and she yawned boredly. "That wasn't a complicated pattern at all, kid," the woman said. The closeness of the flames bothered her greatly, but seeing as she had figured it out, it didn't matter anymore. "The first one was aimed at my left. Then it came from behind, behind again, then front, and finally right. The next one will come at my left." Her smirk widened a little bit. "So, seeing as how I figured it out, why not lower the flames?"

With a chuckle, Axel pokes his head from the flames in front of her, "Hmm..I don't quite know..I'd imagine because I enjoy hanging around in them.." He steps out as the flames die down around him, "You're pretty smart..I suppose..I doubt you could hold your own if I was actually trying to kill you though..it would have been a rather short fight indeed.." Suddenly the weapons in Axel's hands disappear and his lowers his arms in a relaxed manner.

She watched as he stepped out of the flames, more than glad when they finally died away. She rolled her eyes when he mentioned actually trying to kill her. "Oh, please," she said. "I most certainly could have gotten out if you were actually trying to kill me. Don't doubt that." She shook her head, and when she saw his weapons disappear, and deciding that there was no reason for her to have her sword out anymore, sheathed her own weapon. She hadn't even really needed it for this thing.

"So," she began, "since I obviously need your permission to leave, can I go now?"

With a smile on his face, Axel walks over towards her, "Yes..you were so obviously able to escape, since you did such a grand job of doing that to begin with. I simply could have not made a pattern and killed you. I assure you, you would have worn out long before I would have." He reaches the point, right in front of her and puts his hand on her shoulder, where she was hit by one of his blades. He makes a flame and burns the wound so that it scarred, "Just something to remember me by, feel free to go."

"... I simply could have not made a pattern and killed you. I assure you, you would have worn out long before I would have."

The vampire rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right, whatever you say," she said sarcastically, just wanting to get out of there. When he put his arm on her shoulder, her eyes narrowed somewhat, about to pull away when the flames burned her. She bit the inside of her lip from the pain, though not allowing the fact that it hurt to show on her face. As soon as he let go of her, she started walking away, mumbling a few curses at him under her breath.

Ha. I hope he doesn't actually expect that this will stay there forever, it'll heal. Can't change, after all... she thought to herself as she walked, not looking back at him.

Axel laughs as he catches her mutter, I hope she knows that fire can scar vampires unlike normal weapons can.. He chuckles and turns as well, heading in the other direction, knowing he'll see her again. The thought makes him laugh, the urge to bother her possessing him.
