"By name is just as fine." Meena assured Tadashi while making a mental note of the mentioned sisters.
Unlike the children, she's had plenty of practice navigating the large and often complicated web of the Del Bosque family, and knew all too well the confusion her curse added. "Some other time then," Meena added. Then, she turned to smile softly at Iesha, hoping it might quell some of her nerves. Filomena's keen ears picked up on the whispers of hiding places, but her face gave nothing away. She couldn't blame them for seeking solitude. She, herself, wished for a quiet, secretive place away from the party. She did not deserve the attention and love, but Meena could not bear to break her family's heart again.
Then another of the adopted children arrived and Meena had to paw at her calming crystal to keep herself in place. Azure, as he was introduced, put her nerves on edge. Her rabbit instincts warned: predator. And though she saw one boy watching her, it felt like there were more unseen eyes, watching and waiting beyond her given sight.
Celeste gave introductions and Meena craned her neck to greet the young man. "Hello, Azure, it is nice to meet you. Are you gifted with magic as well?" She asked, thinking he had some kind of spell up. Though, as far as she could tell there is no magic upon or within him.
