Visiting The Library (Mazermax, Open)

The walk to the library was pretty silent, except for Neville occasionally trying to get the boy to pet him. It was an awkward silence since Serenity was afraid of what he might think of her if she asked him all of these questions. After snapping a few pictures and shaking the Polaroid pictures, they had made it to the Library. Serenity was afraid that Neville was going to knock down the bookcases and bother the other students, so she grabbed the leash from her pocket and tied him to a nearby tree. After pulling the strings to form a knot, she stood up and decided to ask the boy's name. "I've made quite an impolite impression have I?" The island girl was the first to break the awkward silence. "I'm Serenity Steele, um, what might your name be?" After a hesitation, she held out a shaky hand to the boy, she has never really shook hands with anyone except for distant family members and new neighbors, I hope I haven't embarrassed myself... She thought, chewing on her lower lip.

"G-great!" Serenity stuttered as Korite shook her hand, she quickly pulled away from the handshake and placed her hands back on the string dangling from her neck which held her camera. Awkward... "Uh-uh.. Lets go in then--!" She said, almost in a high pitch shriek. The town girl quickly turned her back on him and patted Neville's head to hide her red face. Serenity smiled nervously at Korite, "Serenity." She repeated her name again before slowly walking towards the library. Her palms were sweaty from the previous interaction, she never felt like this around the other person she encountered but why now?

When Korite patted Neville's head, he licked the boy's palm. Serenity chuckled, "Y-Yes, he will be okay." The girl was unsure if her dog was going to be okay. Hopefully no one would steal him, there were more majestic animals running around; Neville was just a normal Golden Retriever. She treated Neville like a service dog and her own best friend, but maybe she can be around people that wasn't a dog or people who can talk back. "I love animals," She replied, glancing at Korite before swiftly looking back at Neville. "They listen to you and never judge you, they're always your best friend no matter what you say, what you wear, or who you hang out with..."

Oh no, she was rambling! Serenity quickly held her Polaroid at eye level and snapped a quick picture of Korite next to Neville. She slowly grabbed it from the shot and quickly shaked it. This was to distract herself from further rambling, hoping he won't judge her. "Uh, lets go then-!"

Samantha Nightingale didn't like this school thing so far. Sure the teachers were chill but the homework was difficult and she couldn't control her powers without her blowing away at someone. The fifteen year old tried making friends but almost everyone in her classes found her too talkative and annoying! She still hasn't found Amalia yet. Her twin might not even want her here! Why did it matter? She was doing basic math problems in yhe library until she found two girls who dressed in the same colors and one was listening to music. This seemed like a great opportunity to actually talk to people! Slamming her basic math textbook, she stood up and flipped her long blonde hair. After rolling her shoulders back, sheran her index finger over her teeth before grinning and walking over to the two girls. "Hi!" She said in her british accent. "Is that Pink you're listening too?" Pink the artist was a bit too punk for her bubble gum pop music taste, but it was a great conversation starter!

Serenity pointed over to the manga section. "Do you like manga?" She asked. Her eyes averted to the cane he had and wondered why he had it. She wanted to touch and see his past but maybe she can find a much sly way to touch the cane...
