NPC | Academy Staff: Power's Coach | Werewolf
Character's Name: Genevieve "Vieve" Corbeau
Character's Age: Mid to late Twenties
Characters Birthday: —-TBA
Character's Gender: Female
Appearance Description:
Vieve is tall and lean, with long limbs and a thin torso. She has straight, dark-brown hair that hangs midway down her back and is in sharp contrast to her green eyes. Vieve has cream-colored skin that would tan easily if she let it, and she's lightly tattooed with a partial sleeve on her left arm, pawprints on her palms and the bottom of her feet, and a few tattoos she won't talk about.Though she doesn't wear her eyebrow or lip piercings anymore, Vieve consistently wears her earrings and bellybutton piercings, partially because they're the most socially acceptable.
Vieve's style of dress could be described somewhere along the spectrum of biker or military chic, but really, Vieve dresses in what's comfortable or practical for the situation. Her typical outfit would consist of a thin black tanktop, jeans, and combat boots, with or without her favorite black hat and olive jacket. If the situation calls for a professional look, Vieve will wear a pencil skirt and blouse or a black pants suit, using a cardigan if necessary to cover her tattoos.
Vieve's abnormal traits are something that most people don't notice immediately off the bat. She walks on the balls of her feet, with a steady and well-practiced gait that comes from being a fighter, but her instincts are sharp and she'll often tilt her head as if catching a scent or picking up a sound from far away. Her fingers, which are all the same length, end in thick nails that are naturally black, and her canine teeth are a little longer than normal, but these are easily dismissed due to her personal style preferences.
In her canine shape, Vieve resembles a large, dark wolf with a light underside and flecks of white against her maw. She retains round, human-shaped green eyes, and upon closer inspection her dewclaw hangs to low in the position her thumbs would be. She has limited ability to control her paws like hands.
Personality Description:
The fact that Vieve is a control freak comes as a surprise to most people given Vieve's laid back personality and easy-going nature.
It's really all the meditation.
If Vieve's life is a ying-yang, she exists as they grey line between the two. She creatures order and structure but thrives on chaos. Vieve grew up creating and controlling, and it's caused her to find a unique sense of balance that means nothing phases her.
That's not to say she doesn't get angry or upset. It's just not as noticeable. vieve's anger is a heavy, quiet thing that materializes in the straight line of her mouth and the slight narrowing of her eyes. It's not a show of strength, but rather a manifestation of all the power left in her limbs. Vieve will never slam the door, but you can be certain the pictures will fall off the wall all the same.
Vieve has a no-nonsense approach to her job and takes life very seriously, though she understands there's a time and place everything. Vieve will be the first one to throw a celebration party if it's earned, but nothing is preemptive.
Vieve cares strongly about the environment and spends a lot of time and effort into making sure it's properly cared for. Though not necessarily a religious person, Vieve feels a certain spiritual connection for the earth and spends much of her time outside. She teaches the majority of her lessons outside.

Powers:
Vieve is a werewolf, able to shape-shift between human and animal form at will.
Having been accidentally bit by her father when she was three, Vieve has grown up being a werewolf and thus has more control over her powers and can shift quickly. She has heightened senses while in her human shape and retains memories and intelligence in both forms. Due to her human eyes, Vieve can still see colors in her wolf shape, though they're diluted considerably.
The shift from human to wolf will heal Vieve's injuries, but any injuries sustained while in her wolf-shape will remain when she returns to her human form. Shifting requires energy, and if weakened or seriously injured, Vieve will transform back into a human. The only exception is on the night of the full moon--once she shifts, Vieve has to wait until dawn before she can return to her human skin, so while she's at her peak strength, she's also her most vulnerable.
Silver bullets won't do anything different than regular bullets. Vieve heals a little quicker than normal, but she's not invincible or immortal. Vieve has an allergy to chocolate.
She has no other powers.
Biography:
Vieve lived with her parents in upper New York state for the first five years of her life. Her father was bitten and struggled to control the early days of his condition, and it was during an unexpected episode that three-year-old-Vieve was bitten.
Unlike her father or later mentor, Vieve grew up being a werewolf and considers it a normal part of her life. Her family moved to Montana when she was 6, and then Minnesota when she was 10, hoping that the states normal wolf population would help conceal their own presence. Her father opened a tatoo parlor and Vieve began apprenticing for him, even as he began to waste away from an illness.
Vieve and her father noticed something strange, though. It seemed as though being a werewolf was keeping him alive--literally getting a new skin every full moon helped to diminish some of the cancer eating away at it, prolonging his life. Though he eventually passed away when Vieve was about to graduate high school, it helped spark her future career.
Vieve can make people disappear.
Domestic abuse victims, runaways, the homeless.
People who have no home to go back to. No one misses them. No one even noticed they were gone.
Vieves derelict pack took place doing odd seasonal jobs, living half their lives as wolves and the other half as human for the next several years. She rented the upstairs of the tattoo studio out and was able to relocate the worst of the cases.
But then, members of her pack started to disappear. Their bodies were found across the city, and it was clear to Vieve that someone was picking them off one by one. Vieve scrambled to find out what was happening, but it was only a matter of days until she was the last one.
Then, Vieve was rescued, snatched out of danger by a former werewolf who brought Vieve back to New York, where she joined a rag-tag pack of werewolves on the run. Vieve trained under her new mentor and learned to fight, but most importantly she learned about self control. Vieve attended business school and cntinued to work with her mentor, though while in school she found herself in the company of several other Non-Humans. She found that these other non-humans benefited from learning self-control and body-awareness as she did, and so Vieve began teaching lessons on the side.
She took up working for her mentor for several more years before her mentor came to her with an opportunity to work on a small island in the pacific for gifted humans. Away from other people, and sounding like a pleasant, if strange, environment, Vieve packed her bags to see what she could accomplish.
Additional Information:
I kind of have Vieve pegged more as a gym-teacher....but for magical powers. She wouldn't have a class on how to use them, Vieve would be the one teaching others how to control them.
I'm going back and re-reading and I'm not sure if I explained the werewolf thing, or if it still makes her seem too strong? I'm worried since compared to controlling elements/the weather/etc, turning into a regular wolf isn't really that big of a deal, but I'm not sure if I presented it that way. I can edit as needed.
