<div align=center>William frowned, from the outside the school looked daunting, from the inside it looked even worse. He'd frozen up and his already pale complexion had turned snowy white. His dark eyes darted to the exit, though there was not much point in running away, the island was in the middle of nowhere. Bill didn't think he'd get very far, anyhow, he had barely found his way from the gate to the entrance. He bent down and picked up his luggage again, the foil hat atop his head slipping a short way, he pushed it back up again along with his glasses, which had fallen down his nose.

He remained there for a while longer, weighing out his options, he wasn't sure what to do from this point on, he'd not been given much guidance, and he looked around desperately for someone that might be able to help him, though not that he'd be able to say much to them, the thought of having to talk to someone made him feel like there was a brick in his stomach, that would be his last resort, he noted. Perhaps he'd be able to work it out himself.

The boy stood straight, gingerly making his way a little further into the school, he wondered if there was a map, this place was big and scary. He didn't even know where the bathrooms were. He scratched the back of his neck idly, a confused look crossing his effeminate features. One thought overtaking Bill's mind was the fact all he could think about was napping. His frown deepened, creasing his forehead a little, you don't even know where the dorms are, Bill.</div>

Vieve was strolling down the hall and honest to god, she was whistling. She was barefoot despite the autumn chill and her naked feet slapped against the marble floors. Vieve was making noise because she wanted to make noise.

She was dressed in a loose pair of sweatpants and a tight, long-sleeve shirt that hid her tattoos. Her dark hair jutting out from odd angles under her hat. In short, Vieve did not look like a teacher; infact, she looked very much like a student.

As she came around the corner, she saw a face she wasn't familiar with. Now, admittedly, Vieve was not familiar with every student at SA, but she typically saw their files at least once or twice over the course of their stay at Starlight Academy.

As she approached, Vieve was glad for her sense of smell that picked up on things like anxiety, yes, but also on gender.

Because this boy was pretty.

"Gooooddd morning!" she said, and the pep in her voice belittled the fact that she wasn't sure if it was morning at all. She often lost track of time at the gym.

"I see you have a large collection of stuff there and are heading in a way opposite of the dorm rooms, so I think I am safe to assume that you're either lost or running away. possibly both. Can I be of some assistance to you?" She would be about even with him at this point, smiling without showing her teeth. Her eyes were friendly and her posture was relaxed and everything about her body screamed be at ease my friend!

There was no way anyone would ever guess how dangerous she was at first glance.

<div align=center>Poor William practically jumped out of his skin when Vieve's voice met his ears, sweat beaded on his brow all of a sudden, and he let out such a squeak that he knocked his glasses off again. "Running away?" He stammered, tensing up and turning to look at her, "I'm not running away I only just got here." He added quietly, dropping his eyes to his feet. He took a moment to pluck up the courage to speak again, weighing out his options in his head for a moment. If he didn't get help he'd never get anywhere. "Lost." He mumbled, frowning to himself, and blushing a little, "I'm uh, not really sure what to... What to do now."

Bill lifted his eyes again, studying the woman briefly, before dropping them again, feeling a little rude. She was pretty, he supposed, though he had no idea whether she was a student or otherwise, the way she behaved suggested student, but she looked a little older than that. Another thought creeping at the back of his mind made him even more nervous, and that was the fact that he knew the people here had powers, and many far more powerful than his own, the thought that a large fraction of both students and perhaps teachers here could kill him made him feel more than a little bit frightened.</div>

Vieve's smile faltered for a moment when she saw how nervous he was. He wouldn't make eye contact, but that wasn't exactly a bad thing when it came to Vieve, and some people were more introverted than others. Her smile came back easily.

"I'm not running away I only just got here....I'm uh, not really sure what to... What to do now."

"You can start by relaxing," Vieve said. "I know my teeth are sharp, but I'm not going to bite."

She wondered if that was the wrong thing to say; she wasn't sure if he'd relax enough to know that she was joking. All things considered, Vieve was relaxed. The yoga, meditation, and boxing every day helped to keep her in a calm state, and this was a situation she'd been in more than once. New student, plucked from somewhere in the world, shoved onto the Manta Carlos Islands. Hell, she was a little nervous when she first came here.

"Well...what are you doing now? Are you looking for somewhere? Someone? Have you eaten yet? "

ooc: aghh sorry it's short xD

<div align=center>The boy sensed a joke and laughed nervously, something told him she meant him no harm, and he let his shoulders relax a little, he shook his head in reply to her question, he hadn't eaten but he wasn't particularly hungry. It took him a moment or two to decide what he actually was doing, "the dorms," he finally said, a slightly triumphant tone in his voice, though he wasn't sure where they were. He wanted to put his things away, his case was heavy and he was tired. "Could you possibly.. Direct me towards them?" He asked, his thoughts slightly clouded with thoughts of naps, he hoped the beds were comfortable.

Though in all honesty, William wondered what she had meant by sharp teeth, he supposed he should get used to things like this, he'd been surprised to find out this place even existed, and he didn't know half the strange things that could go on here yet. "You don't... You don't suppose there's a map anywhere do you?" He asked quietly, "to help me find my way?" He felt stupid asking that, Bill felt like a child again, of course, this place was nothing like his elementary school.

ooc: no worries!!</div>

"The dorms? Vieve said, "Absolutely! The good news is that you're on the correct floor. The dorms are this way," she said, amiably pointing down a hall.

"A map would be a fantastic thing to have indeed! I'm sure there is one I could bring to you somehow," Vieve said, trying to think of where they would keep such a thing. "Possibly the library, but I'm sure I could find a copy somewhere in the admin wing.."

She trailed off, wracking her brain. Vieve almost never used maps, preferring to get completely lost in an area once to create her own map that ensured she'd never be lost again. An actual map would have saved her several hours, though, and now that she was thinking about it she realized it would indeed be a good thing to have.

"Would you like a hand with your stuff there--?" She looked up suddenly, her dark eyebrows jutting up her face like quotation marks. Oh! Forgive my rudeness! My name is Vieve Corbeau and I work at this lovely institution, so if you signed up for a powers-course or any form of meditation I'm sure we'll run into each other again. You seem a little flustered, if you don't mind me saying, and I'd like to assure you that there's nothing to worry about. I don't know if you've read Harry Potter but we're lucky to not have evil wizards--although I do believe we have a student that's a three-headed dog, but he's quite civil, really, and is an absolute charm with brewing tea-- so you've got nothing to worry about besides dodgeball. "

She smiled the entire way through her little triage of information, offering her hands out to take some of his luggage if he'd like.

<div align=center>William's head turned to where she had pointed, before snapping back to look at her when he heard the words three-headed dog. He wasn't sure if he was curious or frightened, or perhaps a mix of the two. She was a teacher, he realized, he didn't think she really looked like one, but then again nothing was the norm here, he supposed. A small, shy smile crossed his face, he stepped forward, and held a hand out for Vieve to shake, he thought that was common courtesy, at least. "N-Nice to meet you, Miss Corbeau," he greeted softly, "my name is William." Though he wasn't often addressed as William, most of his close friends at home knew him by 'Bill.'

He wondered what powers class she taught, or what went on during a powers class, the term sounded a little daunting to him of current, powers. It seemed a strange word, William had never thought what he had was powers, he'd just always thought there had been something wrong with him, his parents had deemed him Schizophrenic, of course that was far from what he really was. He laughed at her mention of Harry Potter, it had been one of his favourite books when he was younger, and still was in one way or another, though he'd finished the series a while ago.

"Oh!" He blinked, and tipped his head to one side when she offered to help him, he nodded a little, "yes please, ma'am, if... If you don't mind." He stuttered, handing her one of his cases, he had an awful lot of things packed into them, and his shoulder was aching from having to carry it around. "Thank you," his smile returned a moment later, though there was still an element of nervousness in it.</div>

"Oh! Psh, please, none of that Ms Corbeau nonsense! Call me Vieve--I insist!" she took his things and continued to lead him down the hall, happy to be chatting with someone. This was a nice excuse to not do paperwork, she thought cheerfully. Sorry headmaster, was helping the new student, couldn't complete that....that....shoot, what was she supposed to do again?

Her motives weren't entirely selfish, though. Vieve did enjoy meeting the new students and getting a gist of who they where and hear some news from the outside world. The island made her a little claustrophobic at times, even though she could technically leave when she wants to.

"So William--or will? or bill?-do you mind if I ask where you're from originally? I'm a Minnesota and New York transplant, so I'm always curious of news from someone even 500 miles close from home," she asked, tilting her head in a very dog-like manner.

<div align=center>William paused for a few moments, he wasn't really all that fussy with nicknames, his old friends had called him Bill, but that didn't stop anyone else calling him anything new, in fact, he liked change from time to time, he nodded a little, apologizing softly for addressing her the wrong way, he wasn't used to teachers being so informal. "I don't really mind, if I'm honest." He smiled softly. He glanced up around himself, the school was old, but it had a nice feeling to it, there was a musty sort of smell about the place, it reminded him of old books. "Call me what you like."

"I'm from Illinois." Bill replied absently, he'd never really stepped outside of Illinois, but he'd have liked to, this was a completely new experience for him, it was strange being away from home, he wondered how long it would take before the homesickness took to kick in, not very long he suspected. "Barrington, really, but no one knows where that is." He laughed, it had been a nice place, small, but he'd liked it. Bill had lied to his friends and family about where he was going, since his parents thought he was a mental case, and his friends didn't even know about his 'gift.' His family had been strangely cold to him once they thought there was something wrong with him, the thought made him frown, he was bored of stigma.</div>

"Only ever been to Chicago once, I'm afraid," Vieve said, "And that was partially for a business meeting but mostly to try some pizza. So unfortunately you're right." She turned around the corner and nodded to his dorm.

"Here you are, what you like." She said, making the lamest joke since the beginning of all lameness, but with Vieve it was completely sincere. She fished her card out of her pocket and stuck it ontop of his luggage. "Do call this number if you need anything. I'm going to do my best to get you a map!"

[ooc=spoiler] Omg Knox! I am so sorry, I didn't see that you responded. Would you like to wrap this one up soon? I know you've moved on with this character in other threads xD
I'm just stumped. Vieve was a bad choice of chaacter on my part ;_;[/ooc]
