((*embarrassed look* Oops. Yeah, that's right. My mind couldn't think of the right word last night. >< ))

Scarlet nodded slightly and quietly ate more of her food. When she began to feel like throwing up, she just forced the urge down and kept on eating. Unknown to her, Scarlet's face was paler than it had been.

Ivan was clearly conscerned. "Scarlet. You don't look well. Perhaps we should get you to a doctor." The waiter watched them intently from behind a counter, waiting to refill a drink or deliver the check.

Surprised that he had noticed she wasn't feeling well, Scarlet frowned slightly. "Most likely only a cold or something. Nothing to concern a doctor about." Truth was, she never had liked doctors much.

"Nonsense." Ivan replied, standing up. "You looked just like this a few days ago at breakfast. I'm not going to take chances. Whatever you have might be deadly if we don't have it treated. We're getting our dinner to go." The waiter appeared immediately to package their food for them and leave them the check. "Thank you for coming!" He said cheerfully.

Scarlet sighed quietly and stood also, seeing there was no way she could get him to change his mind about her having to see a doctor. "Do you know where one is?" She asked.

"Charlie should know." Ivan turned, holding the to-go boxes. He paid for their dinner and headed to th limo, making sure to hold the door open for Scarlet before doing so.

Charlie closed his novel and stepped out of the vehicle to hold the door open for the couple. "Enjoy your dinner?" He called.

Scarlet flashed him a bright smile and nodded. It was true. She had enjoyed her meal, but it had only been until she began to feel sick. But Charlie didn't need to know that, because it was only a technicality.

She slid into the limo and, slightly weak, relaxed against the plushness of the seat.

Charlie nodded. "Glad to hear it." Ivan frowned. "She's actually not feeling too well. Could you get us to the nearest hospital?" Charlie held up a thumb. "Sure thing." He climbed into the driver's seat as Ivan got into the back seat with Scarlet. "Hey Charlie?" "Yes?" "Did you know my father?" Charlie shrugged. "I'm not sure. Who's your father?" "Gary Grey." Charlie laughed. "You mean you don't know? He won the lottery and the jackpot in the same night! He's one of the most famous foreigners to visit us. Because of him, everyone in the city speaks english." Ivan's eyes widened. Charlie pulled out of the parking lot and sped down the road. "He did it every year on the same day for three years." Charlie added.

Scarlet wondered what they were talking about, but didn't ask Ivan to repeat any of it. She closed her eyes because one, the speed the vehicle was traveling at was aking her head spin, and two because she was getting very tired. "Ivan..." She whispered before reaching around and finally grabbing his hand.

Ivan smiled, huddling up against Scarlet. It was as much to comfort himself as it was to comfort her. Well, probably more latter than former. Charlie came to a smooth stop in the parking lot of a large hospital. "We're here." He said simply, quickly getting out and opening the door. Ivan lifted Scarlet and carefully carried her inside. "She needs to see a doctor." Ivan explained. "You'll have to wait your turn." The nurse said in a friendly voice, gesturing to the near-full waiting room that was to be expected of a hospital in a large city. Ivan nodded. "That's fair." "Right. Sign here please." Ivan signed his name. The woman blinked. "The doctor will see her now." She said, gesturing to one of many examination rooms. "But, I thought you said-" "Wait your turn. Yes. It's your turn now." Ivan shrugged, but carried Scarlet into the room. The doctor was a thin man with gray hair. He had a pale beard that was kept in order so it wouldn't grow longer than his neck. "Let's just take a look." Behind his thick glasses, the old doctor had blue eyes. He used the stethoscope to check Scarlet's heartbeat.
