As the couple went inside, Charlie hit a button to shut and lock all doors. He sat back to read one of the books he kept in the glove compartment for just such an occasion, making sure to keep an eye on the door for his clients.
Ivan grinned. Ever since he had married Scarlet, he had been entralled in almost perpetual happiness. He followed her inside. "Do you have a reservation?" The man at the counter asked. He was a no-nonsense sort of person with a rather impressive moustache. "Indeed we do. Last name Grey." For a moment the man's eyes flashed with interest. He rang a bell, summoning a young waiter, eager to serve. "Show mister and missus Grey to their seat." He instructed, putting stress on the word Grey. Immediately the waiter seemed to tense up at the name. "Right this way!" He said cheerfully, leading the way to their table by the window. There was a wonderful view of the ocean from there, which glistened in the light of the setting sun. Ivan smiled. It was perfect. He pulled Scarlet's seat back for her to sit down. The menus were elegant, devoid of a 'kid's menu'. None of the meals were priced at under twenty-five dollars.
