Ivan wore a large grin. "Ah, perhaps my speech was beautiful, but nothing could ever compare to your beauty. With you, I consider myself the luckiest man alive." Ivan wondered if he could expect frequent visits from Jake, his brother-in-law.
Shoulders, who had left after the speech without being noticed, returned, driving the bright red convertible Gary had paid for. He got out and opened the door for the newly-weds.
Ivan felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Smokey smiling at him. "Whadid I tell ya, Shifty? I knew there was someone for ya." He leaned in a bit closer to whisper. "And you picked a good one, too." Ivan chuckled. "I'm sure there's someone out there for you too, Smokey." Smokey shook his head, tossing his burned out cigarette into a nearby trash can. He reached into his jacket pocket and got another one. His index finger caught aflame, and he used it to light his lung-polluter. "We'll see, Shif- Err... Iv."
A figure watched the events occur from atop a street light. He wore a tight black suit and a cape. On his head he wore a mask that was half black and half white, representing balance between light and shadow. "Two meet. Both love. Two spirits become one." With this phrase, the figure vanished, leaving rose petals in his wake.
