After finishing her food--or at least as much as she could--Scarlet refolded her cloth napkin and placed it on the table beside her plate. She took a sip of her water and stood. Going over, she stood behind Ivan's chair and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed his cheek and smiled.

A warmth spread through Ivan's body as Scarlet kissed him. It had been quite some time since he had any visitors, and he had never had such a beautiful guest. He put an arm around Scarlet and cast a loving gaze at her. "When's the last time you've been told how beautiful you are?" He asked.

Ivan chuckled. "Excellent memory... but I'm sure that you're used to being complimented." He answered. "You are far too pretty to go for long without being told."

"But of course!" Ivan replied. He was able to look like he meant it for about ten seconds before chuckling and shaking his head. "Not within earshot of me. I haven't heard one since... I can't remember when." Ivan shrugged. "I've been told that women complement me amongst themselves, but I've had some trouble believing it."

"You owe me nothing. The way I see it, I owe you." Ivan replied, lovingly holding Scarlet closer. "No one has ever made me feel this way before. This feeling makes life so much more worth living than before."
