Vlad was more than displeased with the entire ordeal of having to hold her urine for the sake of this test. But from what little Chloe had explained it was vital for making everything easier to see what gender the baby was and to tell if it was developing alright.

A small sign escaped her lips as she waddled lightly. It was times like this that she hated the world and she just wanted nothing more than to simply be done with the entire pregnancy thing. She loved her unborn child and its father more than anything in this life or the next but god damnit all! If she had to choose another way.. this would not be it!

While the Trio walked up to the hospitals maternity wing she walked with her hand in Lochlann's. 'For balance' She stated originally. Chloe would know instantly it was a lie. The pregnant woman had perfected how to balance with her wings and her tails.

Upon walking in, A sigh of relief passed from her lips at the sudden rush of cold air against her skin. Vlad looked from Chloe and then up to Lochlann and rubbed her belly slowly, the little monster was a pain in her.. Well.. Everything.

"Chloe.. If you could get me one of those Chairs with wheels.. As fond as I am of walking on my own.. I am getting rather tired.. Rather quickly."

Which, the moment that Chloe wasn't looking Vlad leaned against Lochlann's firm frame and rested her head on his shoulder for a good long moment.

"I am so happy that you came with me Loch."

After speaking she placed his hand on her belly where he could feel the little life within her kick mercelessly against his hand. Displeased little bugger was displeased.

Lochlann held Vladâ€™s hand the entire way to the hospital, and when they got closer, his grip on her hand may have gotten a little tighter. His palms had started to sweat, and he was suddenly having a hard time breathing and answering questions. He looked like he was okay on the outside, like maybe it was just a little bit too hot for him.

Really, the entire situation was awkward for him.

He didnâ€™t know Vlad and Chloe knew each other. He didnâ€™t know what Vlad and Chloe knew about his respective relationship with each of them. It was even more awkward because he hadnâ€™t really told Chloe heâ€™d tried to summon another succubus, and though he knew he told Vlad, he didnâ€™t know if Vlad knew that Chloe was attempt number one.

What the hell was he doing with his life?

She pressed his hand to her stomach and Lochlann was surprised by the movement inside and it showed on his face. Obviously, he knew Vlad was pregnant, and heâ€™d felt the baby before, it was just weird for him to be able to feel it and to put Vlad in the frame as someone going to have a baby. Heâ€™d never really been around anyone who was pregnant before. His sister, Lillianna, was three years younger than him, but it wasâ€¦it was sort of different when you were a horse.

â€Iâ€™m glad I could be here for you,â€ Lochlann said, swallowing. His entire body had gone tense now that they were indoors, but he was keeping it together for Vladâ€™s sake. Sort of. He was pretty sure he recognized one of the nurses.

Chloe didn’t know a lot about ultrasounds or pregnancy. Before meeting Vlad, she’d never had a friend who was pregnant. All of her advice came from things she used to overhear her parents talking about, back when she looked like a human. She didn’t even know what an ultrasound would tell a person about their baby, aside from obvious things, such as whether it had the expected number of limbs.

She tried not to think too hard about why Lochlann and Vlad were walking hand-in-hand. They were both adults. The younger half-demon knew that they had grown close, somehow, but it was probably just platonic. At least she hoped it was just platonic.

Vlad needed a wheelchair. “Sure, Vlad. I’ll ask one of the nurses.” Chloe quickly walked ahead of them and to the nurse’s station on the ground floor. Lochlann and Vlad would see her speaking to one of the women there, then disappearing around the corner with her. Seconds later, they would return, the half-demon now rolling a wheelchair towards Lochlann and Vlad.

Once Chloe returned with the wheel chair she sat gratefully, It was one thing to stand constantly it was another to... Well.. Be hauling around fourty five extra pounds of something that wasn't normally there and THEN be forced to walk around. Looking up to Lochlann she brushed her fingers across his knuckles before pressing a gentle kiss to them.

"The nurse stated that the doctor will be in shortly."

She spoke softly as she turned her head from Loch then to look at Chloe. With a gentle sigh she sat down in the chair and rubbed her belly gently. After a long moment the nurse lead the way for them to go into the one room. Which Vlad was instructed to lay upon the table.

Ten minutes later Vlad had her vitals taken and she was resting comfortably on the medical examination table waiting for the doctor to come in and begin the examination of her child.

Through the window of the examination room Azeria was visible, whom looked at Loch and grinned briefly before she arranged a pair of files... Before walking off.. The other stack, which contained Vlads file was left for Aiden.

Loch gave an uncomfortable smile back to Azeria, and something of a blush, too. His eyes went back to Vlad, and then Chloe.

He was in a building with a woman he'd slept with, another woman he'd tried to sleep with, a woman who helped bring him back from the dead only to tell him he was dying, and a man who wanted him as uncomfortable as possible.

If he didn't care about Vlad so much, Lochlann would have bolted long ago. He leaned against the wall, his arms crossed, his foot tapping. His dark hair was mussed from messing with it.

"So we wait," Lochlann said. He looked again between Chloe and Vlad and finally swallowed and said, "So...you two know each other?"

Chloe’s tail was twitching as she stood and waited with the others. It was a sort of nervous tic she picked up after her body changed. If she had to stand in the same place for an extended time, her tail would start flicking out to the side, like a whip, before returning to its proper place behind her to help her balance.

“Yes, Loch.” Chloe nodded. “When I heard about the second summoning accident I came down to meet her. I helped her move in. And, uh, she hired me as her assistant.” And that had been a real ordeal so far. Especially all the late night runs to the convenience store to satisfy her demonic pregnancy-cravings.

“I guess you guys have stayed close too?” she addressed this question at both Vlad and Lochlann.

Vladhalia nodded in response to Lochlanns question, allowing Chloe to take the time to answer the majority of the question that was presented for them.

"Yes, Loch. We do. Word travels in this school it would seem. Chloe here, assisted me in setting up my classroom and office. It will allow me to teach when needed and it will help in time when it comes for me to give birth. I will be able to teach and then nap and then teach and tend to my child. Since my office adjoins my classroom."

Though upon being asked about hers and Lochlanns relationship Vlad released his hand that she had been idly holding. A reminder echoed within her own mind. Loch was a student. He was someone she could not have relations with and it would be better for her to nip rumors in the arse now verses later.

"Lochlann, for summoning me is much like you Chloe. He is within my service, though more as an indentured servant. He helps move heavier things around form me. Such as large furniture. I am also living with him given the lack of living arrangements that I have at this moment."

It was a dismissal and a half truth all in one wrapped in a small mystery. Vlad would rather not have her relationship with Loch under close examination and Chloe was a smart girl. No need to press that ideal further.. Hopefully.

“Well, this is certainly awkward,” Lochlann said, but his voice was surprisingly cheery. It was hard to tell if it was fake cheery or if Lochlann was genuinely happy, because he expressed the latter emotion so very infrequently.

The situation was a lot like having two one-night-stands in the same evening, and then having the girls run into each other in the hallway and reveal to him that they’re roommates. Lochlann did not like knowing the two women had a relationship. It made him very, very worried.

“I’m so glad to know the results of my horrible drunken decisions not only know each other, but are working together. Of all the people on the entire island and that’s just how it worked out,” he said. Again, it was hard to tell if this was sarcasm or not.

Lochlann wasn’t sure himself, but he was definitely wishing there was a window in this room he could jump out of.

Lochlann misunderstood Vlad’s dismissal of their….whatever it was….to mean that she wanted to keep it casual. That was fine with him. Lochlann was very good at casual. Besides, he was going into college this year, and it’s not like Vlad was his teacher so the same worries never crossed his mind.

He ran his hand through his hair again, and Lochlann started to pace.
