Andrew patted October's back. He was somewhere in between crying and not crying. "Look, Kiddo, did you force that roll down Dani's throat?" He asked gently.
October sniffled. "No," she said, her voice high pitched from her crying. "But still... if I hadn't bought that roll, she'd still be alive, Andrew..." Her crying didn't ease, and in fact, got worse the more she kept thinking about what had happened. Life could be really just horrible sometimes.
Andrew shook his head. "You don't know that for a fact, Kiddo. She could have got hit by a car or ingested poison some other way or fallen off the roof or something. Look, if she had made it through, I know she wouldn't have blamed you for her illness." He told her. He felt badly for October. He really didn't blame her at all, and she was so upset about it.

"But t-they said it was food poisoning," October said, whimpering. "And Dani AND Aly both threw up, and both ate the same thing. How could it NOT be the roll?" she asked, waiting for him to answer that.

Andrew nodded. "Yeah, I know. Maybe it was just, like, her time to go or something." He said. He knew that was a stupid thing to say, but he just didn't know how else to reply. "I know that you never would have done that on purpose, October." He continued. "Sometimes, accidents like that just can't be helped."

"But at such a young age..." she said softly. No one deserved to die so young. At least, not in October's opinion. Dani was still only a teenager, and hadn't even really had a life yet. Even so, she supposed Andrew had a point. Maybe it had just been her time to go, however unfair it may have been.

October smiled slightly, though it almost looked forced. "Yeah. Always," she told him, standing up on shaky legs. She wiped her violet eyes, looking around. First it was her parents, Tsim, now Dani... life just seemed to be spiraling downward. Even so, she would have to try and keep an optimistic view like always; or at least pretend to do so. "So... what now?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest and waiting.

Andrew stood up. "Let's go inside. I probably need to talk to the doctors or something." He said. He waited for her before walking back into the hospital to find Addie and the kids.
October nodded. She followed him back inside the hospital numbly, being completely silent. She looked around, then went to her sister and sat down next to her. "Can we go home soon?" she asked quietly. Ha, home. Since when did they have an actual home? Dorm room at a school would have been the proper term for it, really.
"Of course," Adelina said, planting a kiss on her sister's head. She would have hugged the girl, but she couldn't exactly drop the sleeping babies in her arms and do that.
