Castiel pulled on the black bowtie around his neck as he stood outside of a nice restaurant. He was glad that it was one of the warmer nights because lately, it had been getting pretty nippy. He felt so awkward in the stiff suit that his mother had made him pack in case he met any girls that he was interested in. Sorry Mom, Castiel thought to himself, smirking. He ran his fingers through his bangs and scanned the area for this date, Auden. The more he stood outside, the more anxious he felt and the more scared he felt that the other boy had bailed on him. He took out his phone and leaned against the building. The first thing he checked was the time. “Oh.” He muttered. It was only 7:50. They were meeting at 8:00. Castiel felt a bit less anxious about Auden not being there. The second thing he did was text Auden. He typed out 'on ur way?', but deleted it. He wasn't going to be that clingy.
He hated this part. He was way too anxious in this new field. Was he supposed to be early? Was he supposed to be late? What was he supposed to wear? Castiel over thought everything. He didn’t want to screw it all up. But, despite his worries, he looked up at the night sky, smiling at the same stars that he’d been under when he met Auden.
