Castiel pulled on the black bowtie around his neck as he stood outside of a nice restaurant. He was glad that it was one of the warmer nights because lately, it had been getting pretty nippy. He felt so awkward in the stiff suit that his mother had made him pack in case he met any girls that he was interested in. Sorry Mom, Castiel thought to himself, smirking. He ran his fingers through his bangs and scanned the area for this date, Auden. The more he stood outside, the more anxious he felt and the more scared he felt that the other boy had bailed on him. He took out his phone and leaned against the building. The first thing he checked was the time. “Oh.” He muttered. It was only 7:50. They were meeting at 8:00. Castiel felt a bit less anxious about Auden not being there. The second thing he did was text Auden. He typed out 'on ur way?', but deleted it. He wasn't going to be that clingy.
He hated this part. He was way too anxious in this new field. Was he supposed to be early? Was he supposed to be late? What was he supposed to wear? Castiel over thought everything. He didn’t want to screw it all up. But, despite his worries, he looked up at the night sky, smiling at the same stars that he’d been under when he met Auden.

He was sharp. Auden wanted to look as good as he possibly could for his date out with Castiel. This was special, the first real date that he had been on, especially with another person of his gender. There was no one to judge him, no one to tell him that he couldn't wear a fancy tuxedo out. No one in the world was going to prove him wrong; this was his night. Auden sighed, not sure whether he was supposed to be late or not.

It was a weird limbo feeling where he didn't want to intrude on anyone else, but he weirdly enough didn't want to leave him hanging. The boy shook his head. Why was he thinking about this so much. He was acting stupid. He coughed as he saw Castiel for a distance, as if he were stalking him. He was adorable, like something out of a teen rom-com. With his confidence still intact, Auden bounded over to his date, giving him a surprise kiss on the cheek. If he had been honest, he had been stalking at Castiel for a good 5 minutes in the shadows. "Hey there baby! You look good. Real good."

Castiel looked over at the boy next to him, smiling. He was relieved that Auden hadn’t ditched him. The other boy was formal to the third degree, which Castiel had thought was impossible. It was kinda funny, but pretty cute. He thought about what to say back for a moment, then pecked Auden on the cheek and said, “Right back at ya.”

He stood awkwardly for a second wondering what to do. Should they go in or should they wait outside a bit more? He decided to shuffle to the glass door and open it, gesturing to Auden that he should enter. He hoped that he didn’t seem too awkward. Maybe he did, but he really hoped he didn’t.

The look on his face was priceless; he relieved and half worried for the future. Auden calmed him down with another kiss after he got one on the cheek. "Relax, no need to worry about me ditching you or something." When he motioned him to go inside the restaurant with him, he smiles happily and stepped in. When he was inside with him in the restaurant, he grabbed the other boys hand, entwining their fingers tightly. He was proud of his boyfriend, so so proud.

"The reservation for two, please. Verchetty should be the name." The waiter nodded, smiling as he guided them to a private booth, away from other noise and people. Auden led Castiel to the booth, making sure that they were still holding hands while they were sitting side by side. "No worries about how much it was." If he was honest, the owner was just really sweet and offered it when he said he wanted to bring his boyfriend out for their first date. His nuzzled up against Castiel, giving him a few kisses on his cheek, neck.

His statement really did give Castiel some reassurance. When Auden grabbed his hand, he instinctively clutched it a bit hard, but quickly realized and loosened his grip. He really wasn’t used to all this romantic couple-y stuff, but he really wanted to get used to it quickly so that he wasn’t the most awkward boyfriend ever. He still wasn’t used to that word either. Boyfriend. It sounded like something that only happy, popular people were allowed to say. He was pretty happy to be here, though.

Castiel was glad that Auden had gone with one of the isolated booths. He didn’t feel like being around anyone else. Castiel smirked and replied, “I’m paying the bill, though.” He didn’t want to make Auden pay all of the cost, and this looked like a really fancy restaurant where the coffee cost $10. He had actually asked for his allowance early, so he had all the money he needed plus some. Every kiss that Auden planted on him sent a shockwave up his body. He leaned closer to Auden and kissed his cheek.

"Ah okay, I can deal with that. I like that." There was a chuckle that came out of him as Castiel kissed him. "I like you more though." Yes, it seemed that Auden was in the mood to flatter. Then again, his boyfriend deserved every compliment that he knew he could give. There was something so special about the person that he was holding onto with love. "Order whatever though, really. I mean you are going to be paying for it." He had almost forgotten that fact before he added on his second sentence. It was weird in a way for others to be caring about him like that. Auden leaned his head on Castiel's shoulder as he picked up a menu for them both to look at. "What are you even in the mood for? I feel like getting some type of organ."

[BCOLOR=transparent]He didn’t even care that he was blushing anymore. He wasn’t really embarrassed at all; if anything he was just embarrassed that he hadn’t said anything flattering back to Auden. It wasn’t any fun to just keep receiving without giving. Sadly, he still sucked at even trying to be romantic or giving compliments at all. He couldn’t think of a single thing to say back. He really wished that someone would just hand him a book titled, ‘How to date Auden Verchetty 101’. If only.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He kind of hoped that the other boy meant a pig organ or something, but he knew that wasn’t the reality. He still didn’t really know what Auden was, but he was willing to put that aside; what was the worst it could be? He didn’t really want an answer to that. “Um, uh…” He leaned over slightly to get a better look. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Oh boy nope they have human meat on the menu my worst suspicions are confirmed. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]He was kind of freaked out, but not really. People need to eat, and if that means hunting another species, then really; what's so immoral about that? They weren't being cannibals, after all. Castiel pointed to an item in the salads section (which was adjacent to the ‘exotic meats’ section). “I think I’ll just have this.” He was pretty sure that the worst item in that meal was pine nuts. He quickly added, “Oh, and some iced tea.”[/BCOLOR]

He liked to see his boyfriend blushing, like he was some cute anime character. He was expecting him to yell out baka and beat him up a bit, too. Auden just stared, giving the boy light kisses whenever he looked away. The ravenmocker could tell that he was still nervous for sure, but there was only so much that he could do to contain himself from kissing him all over. The boy was something to be marvelled, at least in his eyes.

"That sounds good, actually." He complimented him on his choice of food for their evening. He leaned in closer as he hummed to his own tune. "Water for me... I think I'll have liver and onions, like the old man I am." He chortled, hoping that his joke was funny. When the waiter came around, he spoke for the both of them, as he knew that his significant other was a bit flustered for words. "What do you wanna do while we wait?"

((OOC: No worries! Don't push yourself to post! :D))

A wave of relief swept over Castiel. His food of choice had passed the test. The significant other test. (In Castiel’s opinion, it was the hardest test in the world.) He was really nervous. Actually, nervous was an understatement. He was about to have a nervous breakdown. He knew that he shouldn’t be nervous around Auden, but he was. This was like their second time legitimately talking (if you could call their last meeting ‘talking’.) God, he just really wanted this to work out for more than a week.

He gave a small laugh with a forced smile. That last part made him worry a bit more. How old was Auden exactly? He seemed to be around his age, but on this island, looks were quite deceiving. He really really wanted to ask Auden if their relationship was even legal. But, he didn’t.

He didn’t know what to respond. Was the appropriate thing to say here, ‘Let’s have a nice conversation and talk the night away’? Probably not, considering what they’d been doing before. He decided to mutter, “I don’t know…”, quickly adding, “I guess whatever you want to do?”

Aw, he was so adorable. Auden held him closer as he talked, nodding to his lack of a decision. "We can get to know one another better, I suppose? Talk about our hobbies or what we enjoy." They did kind of rush into this, after all. "Anything that you want to know about me?" He wanted to be the one answering these questions, as he was sure that in time, he too would be wanting to know more.
